Deadpool 3 Trailer Reaction

 

My thoughts on the Deadpool 3 trailer.

So I saw the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer, and I have to say I like what I see so far, but this movie is basically the MCU's last hope to win back fans. The trailer shows the TVA will be involved, and basically, they want Deadpool's help and want him to join the MCU. The trailer shows Deadpool watching the MCU during phases 1, 2, and 3. Someone pointed out it would be funny if Deadpool saw Phase 4 and made fun of how bad the MCU has gotten after Endgame, and he's not sure he wants to join after seeing how bad Phase 4 was. Knowing Disney, they won't want that because I've heard that Ryan Reynolds and Disney were at each other's throats over the writing. It would be funny for Deadpool to criticize how bad Phase 4 and 5 were. 

It would be a good way for Disney and Marvel to make fun of themselves and acknowledge the fan's criticism of the current state of the MCU. However, knowing current Disney, they want to avoid that because they want to avoid admitting their audience was right about the current state of the MCU. 

In the film, the storyline is that TVA has asked him to join the MCU and work with heroes. They also know that he can break the fourth wall and that's something they can use. 

That's just what I think the plot is. Despite the fact he's shown videos of the MCU during its prime and he would be disappointed by how bad things have gotten since Endgame. 

We just have to wait for a second trailer to give us more detail on the plot and why Deadpool is chosen by the TVA.

This film will likely set up X-Men and Fantastic 4 in the MCU and the Secret Wars movie because there is a Secret Wars comic next to Deadpool at the end of the trailer.  

The film shows Deadpool fighting, and also, the actor who played Pyro from X2 and Last Stand is in the movie and is wearing a comic-accurate suit, which is good. Also Deadpool is in the void and we see the fox logo and it's likely we see all of Fox's X Men and maybe even Fantastic 4 in this film. 

Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine and this time is in the costume after 24 years.

We see Wolverine's shadow. Even though we've all seen the costume and the mask, they still want to keep it a secret. I think this film has the potential to be good. Still, it could suck because the outcome could be either the film is good and wins back fans we see Marvel going back to basics and acknowledging their mistakes. They are going to be more story-driven and character-driven. Or the film sucks, and Bob Iger announces they will be ending the MCU and will be resetting it. Like they bring back old characters but recast them. We just have to wait and see what July brings. Also, I have a feeling we are going to see Fox's X-Men characters in this movie. They will wear comic-accurate suits, and maybe we will see the 2005 Fantastic 4. Also, Jennifer Garner is coming back as Elektra, and I heard Ben Affleck is coming back as Daredevil, too. I think this film is basically sending off all of Fox's Marvel characters giving them a better send off or at least doing the characters right like Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit, Storm, and Archangel. 

Who knows? We shall see what this movie does because Deadpool says he's Marvel's Jesus. 

We shall what Deadpool and Wolverine does or as Hugh Jackman calls the film...

LOL that is a better title.

I feel like that's making fun of how the protagonist in every MCU film in phase 4 and 5 is sidelined for a co-lead. Except for, Spider-Man. 

Ted Show Review

 

My Review of The Ted Show.

So I saw the four episodes of Ted the show and I got to say I love this show. This is a funny show and honestly it's a lot better than Ted 2. Seth MacFarlane does it again and I just had a fun time watching this show. The cast are all funny and Max Burkholder he does a great job playing Johnny previously played by Mark Wahlberg. This show is so much fun I had a great time and can't wait to watch more of Ted. I give this show a 8 out of 10. 

Metroid Prime Movie Fan Cast and Ideas

My Metroid Prime Fan Cast and Ideas

Here's another Nintendo movie fan cast and ideas. This time, it's Samus Arn from the Metroid Prime series. We are getting a live action Zelda film so why not Metroid Prime. 

For a Metroid film, I would make it a survivor film where Samus seeks to reclaim her stuff on a deserted planet. The first movie is based on Metroid Prime. We see Samus as a bounty hunter and her struggling to survive. One of her goals is to kill Ridley, a space pirate who killed her parents, and stop Metroid from taking over the galaxy. This film would also feature the Galactic Federation Army too and Samus at one point was going to join but decided to become a bounty hunter instead.

First, here is my cast for a Metroid Prime movie, and later I will talk about my ideas. 

Samara Weaving as Samus Arn

Samara to me looks the part and she's a great actress and daughter of Hugo Weaving. My other choices were Olivia Thirlby, Brie Larson, Margot Robbie, and Lili Reinhart.

Now here are my ideas for a Metroid Prime Movie. 

6. Baby Metriod would appear in a future film and serve as a Grogu type character for Samus.

Baby Metroid would appear in a future film and would serve as a Gorgu type character for Samus as she sees not all the Metroids are bad. 

5. I would look at Mandalorian for inspiration but the first two seasons not the third season. As well, the movie Dredd.

Now Mandalorian would be a good idea to use inspiration for a Metroid Prime film. Also, the film Dredd would be a good inspiration to it too because what made these projects good was the main character never takes off his helmet except Mando in certain moments. In the film, Samus never takes off her helmet, but we would see her in flashbacks before she became a bounty hunter. As I would end the film, she defeating Mother Brian, and her armor falls off, and we see her face and in her Zero Suit.  Don't do what the Halo show did.

4. Ridley would be in the film as the main villain, but the real villain is Mother Brain.

Ridley is Samus's arch-enemy because he is the one who killed Samus's parents. Ridley would appear in the film's opening, and we would see him as Meta Ridley. In the film, Samus is hunting down him and his space pirates because she wants justice for her parents and the colony he destroyed. However, it's revealed that Ridley was reborn by Mother Brain as Meta Ridley. He seeks to kill Samus and help Metroid expand its power across the galaxy. 

3. The film would be live-action because Metroid Prime can work Live-Action. 

I think the Metroid series can work live-action. After so many sci-fi movies we've gotten, I think we could get a good live-action Metriod film. We are getting a live action Zelda movie by Sony so if that turns out good then so can Samus.

2.  The film should be a survivor, sci fi, action film.   

The film would be based on the Metriod Prime Game were the film is about survivor as Samus is stranded on a planet, it's an Sci Fi action film we are wondering how she is going to survive even without most of her tech. She's looking to recover equipment and kill Ridley for murdering her parents and stopping Mother Brain. 

1. The film could spawn a trilogy based on the Metriod Prime Trilgoy.

Now the Metroid Prime Trilogy I think would be the right games series to adapt on the big screen as we see more of Samus journey across space and batting more Metroids, space pirates, an evil version of her called Dark Samus, Kraid, and Phazon. It would be an epic SCI-FI trilogy and just got to get the right people to make it like the Mario Bros movie did and hopefully Wes Ball will do a good job with Zelda depends on how Kingdom of the Apes does.

Sleeping Beauty Review

My review of Sleeping Beauty

Celebrating 65 years of this film.

To celebrate 65 years of this classic film heres is my review of it. This film is one of the best animated films like everyone has seen the artwork and animation of movie. This scene alone is a thing of beauty.

This scene from the movie is beautifully animated and well drawn. Sadly I don't think we will ever get something like this again. Although, there have been attempts to bring back 2D animation but nothing has been official. Don Bluth himself recently said eventually Disney, Dreamworks and other studios will go back to 2D animation. Sleeping Beauty's animation was fantastic and it did cost the studio a lot of money. This movie is now a classic among fans.

They met for five minutes and they both want to get married?

It's actually funny.

Now we all know the story of Sleeping Beauty aka Princess Auroa/Brair Rose, basically she was cursed by Maleficent because she wasn't invited for her celebration talking about holding a grudge. So the king and queen have their daughter taken to the forest and looked after by the three good faires Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. She meets Prince Philip and just like that she's in love with him. Then she finds out she's a princess but she can't be with the lover her life. I mean, she just met him for five minutes and she goes into post traumatic stress disorder because she can't see him again despite only knowing him for five minutes. Of course Auora pricks her finger and goes to sleep. The three good fairies go rescue Philip and he slays the dragon and kisses Aurora. They all live happily ever after. 

Aurora is just your typical princess who wants to marry a prince and that's it.

I know today's era would look down on that idea. One time, I wrote a live-action remake idea for Sleeping Beauty. I would have given Aurora more character, like she wants to see what's outside the forest, loves animals, and wants to make friends. I would have shown she would love to meet a guy, get married, and have a family. If you've seen Maleficent, they give Aurora more character development and personality, even though I don't like that film because they took one of Disney's best villains more good than evil. 

I find it interesting that the three good fairies are sidekicks but they actually more of the main characters because they had more screen time and dialogue. Of course all three fairies were voiced by Disney legend actresses Verna Felton, Barbara Jo Allen, and Barbara Luddy.

Verna voiced the Queen of Hearts and Fairy Godmother and Barbara Luddy voiced Lady from Lady and the Tramp.

The three good faries are the best part in the film and all three are very funny. 

I still wonder how they cooked for Aurora. Merryweather mentions that Flaura has never cooked before. Then how did they feed Aurora? It makes no sense.

In the film, we don't get any character development of any of the characters. If this movie were made today, the writers would add more character development and expand the characters motives. They would add more to the story and expand on certain things. 

Most old Disney films are like that; we still love them because they are fun movies. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the Disney Renaissance era because we have great characters with good personalities, and they get excellent character development. The stories are well written, and we care about them, unlike today's Disney-like Wish. 

In the film, Prince Philip is your typical prince who goes to save the princess from the evil witch or dragon. It's funny how Philp has no line of dialogue when he gets rescued and when he's fighting Maleficent's goons and her dragon form. It's just silent through the whole climax. I liked his horse Samson; they were funny together, especially when he says no carrot scene. 

Like Aurora, he meets the love of his life for five minutes and wants to marry her. If this were made today, they would have made Philip have more character, like he doesn't want to marry Aurora, because doesn't know her, and wants to be with someone he knows and can see spending his life. Most days, people look at the character as a bit of a creep, but he's not really. Especially when he's going to save Aurora because modern-day people would say she doesn't need no man, but it's like, who cares. Saving a life is saving a life.

Now, Maleficent has been considered to be the greatest Disney villain, and she is. She's evil and scary. I remember the scene with her casting her spell on Aurora, and we get the creepy music in the background. If you hear it in slow-mo, it's scarier. 

Maleficent was just terrifying in this movie, and that's because she's one of Disney's best villains. 

 I wasn't a fan of the live-action films making her more good. We like the character better as a villain because the character would go on to appear in Kingdom Hearts as a villain and in the Kingdom Keeper series as one of the main villains.

Maleficent is the Mistress of All Evil, and that's why she should not be sympathetic because not all villains need to be sympathetic. We want villains we love to hate. 

One of favorite moments in the film was big the climax scene between Philip and the Dragon.

Now the climax is only five minutes but it's very intense fight. 

I plan to do a top epic battle list sometime in the future and this will be on the list.

 

Overall Sleeping Beauty, to me is a good Disney film it may lack character development but hey most classic Disney films lacked that but we still loved these films.

I give this film a 7 out of 10.
