My top 10 best Sideshow Bob Episodes.

Now, we all love Sideshow Bob. He is one of the best Simpsons villains, and his theme music is memorable. Sideshow Bob is another fan favorite of the series, and here are my top ten best Sideshow Bob episodes. 

I'm doing Sideshow Bob this Halloween because he is one of the best Simpsons villains. 

So here is my top ten best Sideshow Bob episodes.

10. The Black Widower

In this episode, Sideshow Bob is released from jail and dating Selma. However, he wants to kill Selma and take her money. Bart doesn't like the idea of Selma dating Sideshow Bob because he framed Krusty. Still, Sideshow Bob tells him he has changed and is a better man because of Selma's love. It's interesting how they seem to build that Sideshow Bob really had changed. Sideshow Bob and Selma love each other, but we start to see signs that Sideshow Bob wants to kill Selma because she has a lot of money. Bart realizes from their honeymoon that Sideshow Bob wanted a fireplace for their hotel room, and he realizes that he wants to kill Selma. The Simpsons save Selma because Sideshow Bob has to increase the fireplace level with gas, and when Selma lights her cigarette, she dies. This was a good episode. 

9. Funeral for a Fiend 

In this episode, we see Sideshow Bob's whole family, and in this episode, Sideshow Bob dies. In the episode, the Simpsons go to a restaurant. Still, it's a trap by Sideshow Bob, who plans to blow them up, but Lisa tells Bob he got a quote from Shakespeare wrong and Bob's biggest Shakespeare fan. Bob is arrested, but this time, his family is involved, and during the trial, he blames Bart for who he is as he drives him mad with murderous rage. Sideshow Bob has a heart attack and dies. Everyone is angry with Bart because he tells everyone that Bart drove him mad and that Bart is the real problem. Cecil convinces him to see Bob off as he will be created. However, it's revealed to be a trap, and Bob fakes his death and tries to kill Bart. I love the scene when Cecil says, "It was I, the grieving brother, that sealed the deal." Sideshow Bob responds. "Yes, and Hamlet is all about Laertes." "Would you please stop comparing to Laertes!" "If the doublet fits." I found it so funny. In the end episode, the Simpsons realize that Sideshow Bob has faked his death, and they save Bart. The family celebrates until Sideshow Bob comes out and kills them, but he's going crazy as the family spends seventy-five years in prison. 

8. Krusty Gets Busted 

This is the first episode where we see Sideshow Bob frame Krusty, as this is one of the best episodes of the old seasons. In the episode, Krusty is arrested for robbing the Kwi Mart, and Sideshow Bob takes over the show. Bart and Lisa investigate, finding some clues that Krusty was framed because one Krusty can't read, the robber was reading, Krusty has small feet, the other Krusty has big feet, and he has a pacemaker. Bart realizes it was Sideshow Bob when he says big shoes to fill. Sideshow Bob is arrested and goes to prison, and this is the beginning of a great villain in the Simpsons. 

7. Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming 

In this episode, the Simpsons go to an air show, but Sideshow Bob is plotting to threaten to blow up Springfield with a nuclear weapon if all television is off the air. Bart and Lisa, of course, work together to stop Sideshow Bob from activating a nuclear bomb. In a funny twist, the atomic bomb has expired, and the chase scene in the episode was funny as Sideshow Bob plans to kill Krusty with one of the first planes ever made. Sideshow Bob finds Krusty, who is still on TV because he doesn't want to lose viewers. Sideshow is about to fly the plane into the shack, but the plane breaks and Sideshow Bob is arrested. This episode was a lot of fun to watch.   

6. Sideshow Bob Roberts 

In this episode, Sideshow Bob runs for mayor of Springfield against Quimby. Sideshow Bob is released from prison and is chosen by the Republic party as their candidate. Bart and Lisa don't want Sideshow Bob to be the next mayor of Springfield, so they do everything they can to help Quimby.  Bob wins the election and tries to build a new highway on the Simpson's house. Bart and Lisa learn that Bob committed voter fraud by using dead people's names and pets to win the election. Sideshow Bob exposes himself because he believes he's what the town needs and goes to jail. 

5. The Day of Jacknapes 

In this episode, Krusty announces his retirement and removes the show with Sideshow Bob. So, Sideshow Bob decides to kill Krusty and uses Bart to help him do it under his mind's control. During Krusty's retirement show, Sideshow Bob learns that Krusty is ashamed of how he treated him over the years, which led him to a life of crime. Sideshow tries to stop Bart, but Mr. Teeny throws the bomb away. This is another funny episode, and remember to say funny during a photo. 

4. The Great Louse Detective 

In this episode, someone is trying to kill Homer, and so the police assign Sideshow Bob to help Homer find his killer. In the episode, someone tries to kill Homer in a steam room, so the police assign a criminal to work with Homer, which is Sideshow Bob. It's funny when they put an electric collar on his leg, and Chef Wiggum says, "Don't even think about taking it off because it is taped to your leg hair, and that really hurts." It's funny how Homer and Sideshow Bob work together, and it's even more amusing when Bob is shocked by how many enemies Homer has. We all know the reason is because he drinks. In this episode, we meet Frank Grimes Jr, who wants to avenge his father's death as he blames Homer for it. Ultimately, Sideshow Bob saves Homer from crashing into the Museum of Swordfish. They arrested Frank Grimes Jr. Also, at the end of the episode, Sideshow Bob tries to kill Bart. He realizes he's grown accustomed to Bart and sings a song about it before leaving Bart. Unfortunately, the remote is outside, and two birds are pecking at it. 

3. Brother from Another Series 

In this episode, Sideshow Bob reunites with his younger brother Cecil, voiced by David Hyde Pierce, who plays Frasier's brother on Frasier. That was spot-on casting. In the episode, he works at his brother's hydroelectric dam, but he later learns it's all fake with the help of Bart and Lisa. As it turns out, Cecil frames his brother out of spite towards him, becoming Krusty's sidekick. We see Sideshow as a hero who saves Bart, but sadly, he still ends up in jail. This is one of my favorite episodes with Sideshow Bob, and if you love Frasier, you will love it too. I also love the ending of the fight over the bunk beds. 

2. Italian Bob 

In this episode, the Simpsons go to Italy to pick up a car for Mr. Burns. The car then gets wrecked, and they go to a village and find out Sideshow Bob is the mayor of the village. Sideshow Bob goes to Tuscany to start again and eventually becomes the mayor and a husband and father. 

However, the Simpsons come, and this time, Lisa ruins his life and tells everyone he is a criminal because she got drunk. Sideshow Bob's wife and son join him in killing the Simpsons. I love the scene where Sideshow Bob sings, and Kelsey Graham has a great singing voice. I wonder what happened to Sideshow Bob's wife, Francesca, and son Gino. Francesca is seen in some episodes, but we don't know if she and Sideshow Bob are divorced, which some episodes have implied. I think that confirms that they are divorced off-screen. They should do an episode explaining why Sideshow Bob and his wife split up and what happened to Gino. 

Honourable Mentions 

Bobby, It's Cold Outside

In this episode, Sideshow Bob is Santa Claus, and he basically helps Mr. Burns regain his Christmas spirit. Also, in this episode, Sideshow Bob and his wife are divorced because he has a new girlfriend. 

Treehouse of Horror XXXIV 

Now, this is a new episode, but it's a Simpsons what-if episode: Sideshow Bob killed Bart in Cape Fear. This was a good story segment because we see what would have happened if Bob had killed Bart and how it would have destroyed the Simpsons family. 

The Bob Next Door

In this episode, the Simpsons get a new neighbor. But it's actually Sideshow Bob in disguise, wearing the face of his cellmate. It's a funny episode, and I laughed when Sideshow Bob was shocked that Bart hadn't finished Order of the Phoenix. 

 Gone Boy

In this episode, we see Sideshow Bob cares for Bart and wants to find him, as he is missing. This episode redeems Bob as he has grown to care for Bart. 

and the number one best Sideshow Bob episode is...

1. Cape Feare 

This is the best Sideshow Bob episode. In this episode, Bart gets death threats written in blood, and we learn it's from Sideshow Bob, who plans to get parole and leave prison. Simpsons learns he was the one who sent those letters. So the Simpsons go under witness protection and call themselves the Thompsons. Sideshow Bob secretly follows them despite going through the cactus trees and stepping on rakes. Bob still plans to kill Bart, and we see Bart trying to survive and not being killed by Sideshow Bob because his family can't help him being tied up. Bart gets the idea of asking Sideshow Bob to perform his opera performance of an English Man. It's the funny scene, and Sideshow Bob sings like crazy. The episode ends with Sideshow Bob getting arrested, and the Simpsons are safe, but they forget to give Grandpa his pills, and now he's a woman.

My Top Ten Best Disney Villains.

For this Halloween I'm doing my top ten favourite Disney Villains. These characters I grew up with that made me laugh and scared me as a kid. Now here are my top ten favourite Disney Villains with honorable mentions.

10. Lady Tremaine 

Lady Tremaine is one of the worst stepmoms anyone could have. She was awful to Cinderella all because she wasn't her actual daughter. Tremaine is genuinely one of Disney films' most greedy and heartless characters. Her evil glare is still frightening, and it is satisfying when Cinderella gets with the prince instead of her daughters. I also loved Cate Blachet's performance as Lady Tremaine; she nailed it as playing an unlikable character but was defeated when Cinderella got with the prince and forgave her stepmother for her abuse. That was the ultimate burn. 

9. Cruella De'Vil 

Cruella is a great villain because she wants to kill puppies. Let's face it: we all love dogs; she would be the most hated villain. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if PETA listed the number one enemy of using fur coats. Cruella is also a fun villain; she comes off as energetic but also cruel at the same time. Her theme song is catchy, and I still remember the car chase. We see Cruella's true face, and it's still scary. I didn't particularly appreciate how they made her sympathetic in the Cruella film. I mean, come on, you can't be a puppy killer sympathetic? Still, I love Cruella, and I love to hate her. 

8. Gaston

Gaston is one of the most excellent villains because, like Nostalgia Critic once said, he looks like he would be the hero of the story. Gaston is a great villain because he would bet he is a hero, but he's not. One exciting thing about Gaston is that he is a self-centered guy who wants Belle but can't take no for an answer. He goes even far as to put her father in asylum if she doesn't marry him. It shows Gaston is more of a Beast than the Beast himself. I love the Gaston song because it's so catchy, and I find it funny how three blonde ladies are so in love with him, but he only wants Belle. Gaston will do anything to get what he wants and should accept that he can't always get what he wants.

7. Dr. Facilier 

Dr. Facilier is a great villain, voiced by the legendary Keith David. Dr. Facilier, I love his song. I Got Friends on the Other Side. His plans to take over New Orleans are really dark, giving the souls to his friends on the other side. Dr. Facilier was a fun villain, and he almost came close to winning, but in the end, he was defeated, and his death scene was pretty dark. Dr. Facilier is a great Disney villain and is iconic to this day because the character brought back good villains again. 

6. Jafar 

Jafar is a classic Disney villain who wants to rule Agrabah and wants the lamp, so the Genie of the Lamp grants him his three wishes. Jafar was a funny villain but could also be a scary one. I love his relationship with Iago. Those two are so funny together, even after Iago switches sides in future films. I find Jafar most terrifying when he becomes a snake. Jafar is a fun villain to watch in this film; it is scary when he turns into a snake. 

5. Count Frollo 

Frollo is one of the darkest Disney villains because he kills people and believes he's doing the right thing. He believes it's what God wants him to do. Frollo's song Hellfire is considered one of the best Disney villains because of how dark it is, and the whole movie Hunchback was a dark film. Frollo's lust for Esmerdella is disturbing, and that's what makes him a great villain.  Frollo made The Hunchback of Norte Dame a dark movie, and it would be cool to get more villains like him in future Disney films. 

4. The Headless Horseman 

I know this is a surprise, but this character deserves to be on the list because he's the first properly only villain to win. In The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, we learn about the Headless Horseman from Bron Bones. He tells everyone not to stop for a second look and to make the bridge, as once you cross the bridge, his powers are done. Fans still debate whether Bron was the Headless Horseman, but to some, he may not be the Headless Horseman. Also, if you think about Ichabod, in truth, he's really more of the villain because he wants to marry Katrina for her family wealth, not because he's in love with her. So if you think about it, the Headless Horseman is the hero, depending on if you believe it's Bron or just a vengeful spirit. 

3. Maleficent 

Maleficent is one of Diseny's best villains as she is the Mistress of all Evil. She's become such an iconic villain, but I'm not keen now trying to make her more of a hero we like, just as a villain as one of the best. Maleficent scared me as a kid, especially when she had Aurora follow her in the castle. One thing that I love about this character is that she cursed Aurora because she wasn't invited to her birthday party. I mean, it's kind of funny, but at the same time, it shows you should be careful who you don't invite to a particular party, you may regret it. Still, Maleficent is a fantastic and scary villain. I don't understand why they make sympathy like it didn't work in Maleficent. She's better off as a villain like she is in the Kingdom Hearts series and Kingdom Keepers series.

2. Scar

Scar is one of my favorite Disney villains because he takes over Pride Rock, and everything goes wrong. However, Scar's song Be Prepared is a great song to listen to and catchy. Scar is voiced by Jeremy Irons, and Irons just nailed it as Scar. One of the most evil things Scar did was killing Mufasa, which was one of the darkest scenes in Disney films. When he takes over the Pride Lands, he does a terrible job letting the hyenas do what they want because there's more king to be than getting your way all the time. Also his death scene was dark too and let's face it a lot of fans of Lion King feel bad for Scar in the end. Not that he didn't deserve it but he didn't start out evil. Nothing is evil in the beginning. 

Honorable Mentiosn 

Yzma 

Yzma is one of the funniest villains in Disney films, and I love her with Kronk. The late Eartha Kitt did a great job voicing her. 

Captain Hook

I have always found Captain Hook to be a funny villain, and I love how he and Smee interact with each other. Captain Hook can be amusing but also menacing. I didn't like the remake version, though. Ugh.

Rourke 

Rourke is your average greedy villain who wants power, but I found him to be an interesting villain in Atlantis. 

Prince John

Prince John is another greedy villain, but he's just so funny, and his relationship with Sir Hiss is like the Odd Couple.

Turbo 

Turbo is a great villain because he's a self-centred villain who basically abandons his own game and takes over another one. Turbo even convinces Ralph not to let Vanellope take part in the race, not protect but to protect himself.  

Percival C. McLeach 

This is a villain no one talks about because Percival is a hunter with no sense of honor and wants to kill two eagles and make money. He even goes so far as to kill a kid. 

Mother Gothel 

Mother Gothel is one of those villains who's funny but sinister because she acts like a loving mother to Rapuzel, but in truth, she only cares about being beautiful and sees her as an object. 

The Horned King 

The Horned King is one of Disney's scariest villains despite the Black Cauldron being the black sheep. Well, it's not really anymore if you look at Home on the Range, Strange World, or Wish. The Horned King was a scary villain, and the late John Hurt voiced one of the best things about the film. 

Chernbog 

Chernabog is a great villain, even though he isn't the villain of any story. He represents and motivates all the Disney villains' horrible crimes. Nostalgia Critic himself pointed this out, and I do agree with him on this character. He may not have hatched evil plans, but he motivated them because he is the source of all Evil. Also, he is the main villain in the Kingdom Keeper series and I would be down to see this character as the main villain of a film or a show someday. 

and the number one best Disney villain is...

1. Hades 

Hades, to me, is the best Disney villain because, let's face it, he's so likable that you want him to win in the end. Hades, to me, is just incredible. He's more entertaining to watch than Hercules because he's voiced by the amazing James Woods. Who doesn't love James Woods? Fun fact: he loved this role so much that he continued to play Hades in the spin-off show House of Mouse, Kingdom Hearts, and even Once Upon a Time a Studio. Hades is iconic as a villain because he's evil but funny, too. Hades is one of the funniest villains in Disney films and he's got such a great personality to him. Hades, to me, is the best Disney Villain because he's one of the few villains you root for and he stole the show. Fun fact, in Greek Mythology Hades was actually the nicest god in the Greek Gods funny eh. 

So that's my Top Ten Best Disney Villains.

Inside Out 2 Review

 

Inside Out 2 Review

So, I saw Inside Out 2 today, and here's my review of it. I liked it. I thought it was a fun movie and a good sequel to Inside Out. I mean, I don't think it was as good as the first film, but I had a fun time with this movie. The original characters return with their original voice actors, except this time, Envy and Fear are voiced by Liza Lapira and Tony Hale.

The film is about Riley as a teenager, and she's going through many stages. She has new emotions: Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment. I like the new emotions in this film, which are all voiced by funny actors like Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebrir, Adele Exarchopoulos, and Paul Walter Hauser. In the movie, Joy and her friends get kicked out of Riley's head, and they must go back and help Riley deal with the new emotions. The film dives into when you become a teenager who deals with friends, making new friends, and other teen problems. The ending was good because we must be ourselves and never lose sight of who we are. This was a good film and a good comeback for Pixar after a lot of crappy films lately. I give this film an 8 out of 10. It's not that the first one was better, but it's a good sequel.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Review

So I saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice yesterday, and here's my review of it...I loved it. I had such a fun time with this film. This film was funny and scary at the same time. I had such a fun time watching this film, and this is a sequel to a film from 1988. This is another good legacy sequel that was done right. For example, Beetlejuice 2 used practical effects instead of modern-day special effects. The film focuses on Lydia, who, in the last film, is now older and is a widow and single mom to her daughter Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega. Lydia has become a host of a reality TV show where she talks to ghosts. If you've seen the last film, you'll get it. Beetlejuice returns in the film; this time, he's more of an anti-hero and still wants to marry Lydia. In the film, Beetlejuice's wife returns, and she wants to suck his soul out. I won't give too much away, but this film was fun and scary, and I laughed so hard at the opening with Danny Devito's cameo.  It just made me think of Frank Reynolds as if he were dead.

The cast did a great job; for example, Michael Keaton is Beetlejuice, and he was the film's best part. He made me laugh; even at 73, Michael Katon still has it. The rest of the cast, like Winona Ryder, was great; Jenna Ortega was fantastic; Catherine O'Hara was so funny in this movie; and Justin Theroux was good, along with Monica Bellucci. I had a great time with this film; it gets you in the Halloween spirit. I give Beetlejuice Beetlejuice an 8 out of 10. Go see it.

Home on the Range Review

Here is my review of a Disney animated film that is now 20 years old and was one of the last 2D animated films before they went back to Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh 2011, and after that, nothing. Home on the Range is regarded as a box office flop, losing to Hellboy in 2004 and getting mixed write-ups. I remember seeing this film when I was a kid and thought it was fun. I wasn't crazy about it, and this film wasn't on the level with Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Mulan, Hercules, or Emperor's New Groove.

The film is about a cow named Maggie, voiced by Rosanne Barr. You know from her that the tweet she made that got her canceled, and she blamed it on her medication. Maggie lived on a range until a bad guy named Alameda Slim, voiced by Randy Quaid, might know him for his illegal problems. So Maggie is sold to this farm owned by an old lady named Pearl, who owns Patch of Heaven. Maggie meets the farm animals, and two cows named Mrs. Calloway and Grace, who are voiced by Judi Dench and Jennifer Tilly. 

We also meet Buck, a horse who dreams of becoming a hero and going on adventure because he's the sheriff's horse and wants more action instead of doing nothing. So, like the cows, he goes to take down Alemda too, but he's doing this because he wants to be the stead of Rico, a famous bounty hunter who he looks up to until he learns Rico was working for Alemda. Buck helps Maggie, Grace, and Mrs Calloway take down Alemda together. Buck was one of the best characters in the film, along with Grace and Lucky Jack, voiced by Charles Haid. Cuba Gooding Jr voiced Buck, another actor in this film whose career went down the drain after some illegal stuff. I remember watching Drunk Disney, and one of the guys said. "Was this his attempt at a comeback after Snow Dogs?" 

They learn that the farm will be shut down and up for auction. Pearl can't pay for it, and she doesn't want to sell her farm animals as they are family, too her. So, the cows decide to hunt down Alemda and claim the reward. 

Alemda is a greedy villain who wants to buy land and control cows. He's just an average greedy villain, and he's boring, to be honest. I did find it funny when his henchman's head blocked a Patch of Heaven on the map.

The film does have good animation, but the story falls flat. There were some funny moments in the movie. The animation was good, and I liked the characters in the film. Some of the music and songs in the movie was good, too. As I wrote before, the film's writing fell flat, and there were moments I was like, "That doesn't make any sense." 

Still, this film got most of the blame for killing Disney 2D animation and made Disney rely on Pixar from the 2000s till 2009. Overall, this film is alright. It's just a fun movie, and that's all it needs to be. It's like Black Cauldron. It was the black sheep of Disney films, but now it's a classic, a film many people want to see a remake of. Home on the Range would not work as a live-action remake. Still, it's a fun movie, and that's all it needs to be. I give a 5 out of 10. That's all I give it, and does it deserve all the hate it gets well after some of Disney's recent movies. This film is considered a classic compared to what we get now with movies like Wish.
