Could The Batman Create a New DC Cinematic Universe?

Here is another crazy theory and rumour that the upcoming The Batman not only will build a Batman Cinematic Universe but also it could start a new DC Cinematic Universe. The idea came from set photos showing someone dressed up as Superman on set this an extra by the way. So is it possible they are confirming Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern exist in this universe.

Now this all speculation we don't know if that's the direction they are going with even though DC is building a Multiverse Cinematic Universe. So I guess they can make films or TV series that are outside the DCEU but it might cause some confusion with audiences. They already confirmed they have plan sequels for The Batman and have a spin off prequel series coming to HBO Max. So it's possible they could give us not only a Batman Cinematic Universe but they could create a new DC Cinematic Universe. 

Because if you think about it maybe WB wants to make up to fans about their bad star and rush attempt to catch up with Marvel. I mean they have already made it up to us fans with Wonder Woman, Shazam, Aquaman, Joker, and Birds of Prey. As well their next movies like The Batman, The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman 84, Black Adam, Shazam 2, and Flash look exciting and hopefully they deliver. But it could be possible that DC wants to make a new cinematic universe that takes its time and put togethers a proper Justice League film and not a rush attempt. I know the Synder Cut is on its way and does looking promising but it might suck and what's worse Amber Turd is in that movie still.  

Now I don't know if Matt Reeves would be interested in doing that he seems to be more focusing on a building a Batman Cinematic Universe. It really depends on what the direction the studio wants to go or what direction Matt Reeves wants to go. It would be interested in the idea of starting fresh on building a proper Justice League film. But what would this mean for actors already playing characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, and Aquaman. Again with the idea of Multiverse we could defiantly see different actors playing these characters but it would cause some confusion but you know DC does a really good job with its multiverse. So it would make sense to some audience members this in a different world/different universe. Like DCEU is New Earth, CW is Earth One, and The Batman film series Earth 52. 

If this is true it could work out if its done in the right way. Like heres how they can do it and heres who I would cast as The Batman's fellow heroes in this universe. It's also possible like the Batman film all the heroes are already established and their origins already done. Well some of them would have their origins already established but some characters might need an origin story so audiences can get to know them and understand how they became that hero.  

First Phase in...well we will just call DC52, starting with The Batman, The Batman 2, a Superman movie reboot, Wonder Woman but she would only appear in Justice League films because she be like the Black Widow/Hulk (Even though there is a Black Window movie coming out lol.) but the reason for this is because it won't cause confusion with the films with Gal Gadot, a Green Lantern movie reboot which stars Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and in a follow up film Kyle Rayner, A Flash movie maybe with Wally West as Flash instead of Barry Allen, a Green Arrow and Black Carney movie, and a Martian Manhunter movie, and then we would get a Justice League film. This Justice League would be the like the animated series team in someway with some DC Rebirth vibes. 

Its just an idea but again I don't know if they would go with this route it would depend though on what the Batman does with critics and box office wise. This team would be different from the DCEU and they would not be New 52 but something original like the founding members of this universe Justice League team is Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, (Wally West.) Green Lantern, (Hal Jordan) Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, and Black Canary.

Its more original team but I would take inspiration from the original comics, the animated series, some of New 52, and DC Rebirth.

Now here is how the studio could reintroduce these characters and what makes them different from their DCEU counterparts. 

First let's start with Superman.

Now if they do have a Superman in this film series he will likely be the opposite of Batman. He's more light hearted, he's always tries to help people, he's the most powerful heroes on the planet, he's got a good heart, and he more positive and believes there is good anyone. 

Here are the other differences between this Superman and Henry Cavil's Superman are.

1. He is single and not in a relationship with Lois Lane at the moment.

2. Both his parents are dead Pa Kent and Ma Kent are dead.

3. He lives with Jimmy Olsen as his roommate.

4. He's already established as Superman and he is already known to the world.

5. Some of his villains have been established like Lex Luthor, Parasite, and Metallo.  

6. He also is very hardworking as a reporter for the Daily Planet.

7. He is in love with Lois but they are just friends at the moment. 

8. Clark's been Superman for about three years now.

9. He knows about Batman and doesn't fully agree on his methods. 

10. He maybe powerful but he makes mistakes like everyone else and he problems like everyday people.

If they do a movie what they should do is what The Batman did, skip the origin and have him already established. Also you need it be light hearted and fun. Don't make it in the same style as The Batman make it the opposite. The film should adapt the Brainiac story arc along with Man of Tomorrow elements. I would say make Brainiac the bad guy of the film he's long over due for a big screen adaption. The film should be about Superman trying to stop Brainiac but also you see him struggle with his personal life and we see him dealing the painful memory of not being able to save Pa and Ma Kent from their deaths. He's also trying to tell Lois that he loves her and she's trying to figure out Superman's identity but also she sees him a hero the world needs. The film would have Lex Luthor, but Lex would not be the villain but he would be set up to be the villain in the next film. Lex in his eyes sees Superman is a threat to humanity and must be destroyed. Because there is also this idea that Superman could destroy the world if he ever goes bad even though Clark doesn't believe because he believe that won't happen. 

The actor I would choose to play Superman would be Ian Harding.

Next is Wonder Woman.

Now as much as I loved the Wonder Woman movie and I love Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman I think they want to include Wonder Woman in this universe but they need do something different with this character.

Like what would make her different from Gal's Wonder Woman. I would say have her only appear in Justice League films she could be the Black Widow/Hulk/Hawkeye of the team. I know some might not like that but we already got a Wonder Woman film series with Gal its best to go with that idea instead of just confusing the audience. 

1. She's already established as a hero

2. She's fights for equal rights for all people. 

3. She works with Steve Trevor with A.R.G.U.S 

4. She was forbidden to return to Themyscria after she departed to see the world.

5. She's started to bring back the worship of Zeus and the Greek Gods. 

6. She's strongly against slavery. 

7. She's also been fighting evil much longer than any other hero 

8. She was at one point a member of the JSA but left the team after they all retired. 

9. She and Steve Trevor are in a romantic relationship.

10. She is the daughter of Zeus and she's searching for her twin brother. 

My choice for this Wonder Woman would be Alexandra Daddario 

Next is Flash 

Now we've seen CW's Flash and the DCEU's Flash whom I don't like because I think Erza was mis casted. Now there is a Flash movie in the works right now but what this Flash movie could be about is Wally West. Like hear me out most fans grew up with the Justice League the animated series grew up with Wally West as Flash. So why not make this Flash movie that focus on Wally West as the Flash. It may something new for once instead of Barry Allen we have Wally West as Flash. 

Like how did Wally become Flash and what happened to Barry Allen. 

1. Wally is seventeen or eighteen years old like he's still a kid.

2. He was Kid Flash but became the Flash after the death of Barry Allen. 

3. Barry was presumed killed in a fight with his arch enemy The Reverse Flash. 

4. Wally took his uncle's death really hard and decided to become the Flash to honour him. Even though he's still a kid.

5. Wally is a jokester, makes jokes, and has a very good sense of humour. 

6. Wally tries to balance his life in school and being a hero as well being there for his family too.

7. Wally is also mentored by Jay Garrick the first Flash. 

8. The Speed Force is in this universe. 

9. Wally is dating Lana and she's a high school news reporter.

10. Wally is close to his aunt who lost her husband and she knows Wally is Flash and respects him for honouring Barry's legacy. As well she's a single mom of twins nicked the Tornado twins.  

So the idea of a Flash film about Wally West could work and the film would be like a Spiderman film where he's trying to be a hero but he's struggling with balancing his family life, superhero life, school, and friends. We would see Wally go up against his uncle Daniel West who becomes a super villain who takes up the mantle of Reverse Flash. Also most of the Flash villains are already established in this universe. The film would focus on Wally trying to help his younger cousin Wallace out because his father Daniel because Daniel gets infective by The Negative Force the evil version of the Speed Force. It's a coming of age film for Wally West by taking up the mantle of The Flash. 

My choice for the role of Flash would be KJ Apa.  

Next Green Lantern Corps 

Now with a Green Lantern TV series in the works and since Hal, John, and Kyle are not in it apparently. I'm thinking maybe WB plans to use them in films instead which works actually. I think a Green Lantern film would be the best option for these three because of how popular they are. Now what this film should be about is it focus on Hal and John being Green Lanterns and protecting the universe. We would see Kyle in the end but I don't think they should include him until the next film because that's when he becomes a Green Lantern. This film should be more of a buddy cop/Lethal Weapons meets Guardians of the Galaxy type film. 

It could work and the film could have Hal and John going up against The Red Lanterns and The Manhunters. 

Here's what these three characters are like. 

Hal

1. Hal is a test pilot and has been a Green Lantern for awhile 

2. Hal is considered by some to be one of the best Green Lanterns 

3. Hal is very brave is ready to face things head on.

4. Hal's origin is the same and he was trained by Sinestro whom he sees as a brother figure in his life. 

5. Hal and John are buds but don't often see eye to eye on certain ideas

John 

1. John was a former solider in the army.

2. John is a tough guy but he's got a good heart.

3. He's got a strong will and takes his duty very serious.

4. John also known for being an excellent sniper. 

5. John's origin would be in the film he saved Hal's life from a manhunter thus earning him a Green Lantern Ring.  

 

My choice for these two characters would be 

Armie Hammer as Hal Jordan 

Trevante Rhodes as John Stewart 

Next is Martian Manhunter 

Now a Martian Manhunter movie would focus on his origin and his life on Mars and the death of his people and his family. The film would have him starting to adjust to a new life on earth. He takes the name Jon Jones and becomes a Police officer and starts to adjust to his new life but he learns that his people were wiped out by one of his own and he would learn that his brother Ma'alefa'k whom he thought was dead is still alive and he was responsible for the plague that killed his family. Now Jon must avenge his family and stop his brother from destroying planet Earth next. 

Heres what John is like

1. He is very calm and wise.

2. He can't express emotional expressions though. 

3. He is also a voice of reason to some people.

4. He misses his family and still haunted by their deaths as he witness them burn alive in front of him. 

5. John is actually a millions years old because his people age very slowly. 

6. Jon's biggest weakness is fire because fire is the one thing that kill him instantly

7. Jon decides to protect earth from evil and not let the human race die like his people. 

Heres who I would cast as Martian Manhunter 

Sterling K. Brown as Martian Manhunter/J'onn J'onzz/Jon Jones

Next would be Green Arrow and Black Canary 

We would get a Green Arrow and Black Canary film that would focus on these two. This be a couple romance action, adventure film. These two would be very different from their CW counterparts and DCEU's Black Canary. Their origins would be skipped and not be retold. The film would be about these two trying to save Conner Hawke, Oliver's son from the Longbow Hunters lead by Dark Archer. The film is also focus on their relationship them having issues especially Black Canary being shocked to learn that Oliver had a son that he never told her about. The film would have Roy Harper/Red Arrow, and Artemis Crock. 

Here's what Green Arrow and Black Canary are like.

Oliver Queen/Green Arrow 

1. Oliver is funny and tough

2. Oliver is also very bold ready to face anything.

3. He's can also come across as a jerk but he means well

4. He's one of the best archers in the world can even shoot an arrow with his mouth.

5. He learn how to survive in the wilderness for a year.    

Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Canary 

1. She's very confident 

2. She's also a good listener and tries to help with their problems.

3. She's trying to live up to her mother's legacy for she was the original Black Carney but she feels pressured to do so.

4. She is also a skilled fighter knowing all forms of hand to hand combat.

5. She's very smart too. 

Heres who I would cast as Green Arrow and Black Carney 

Charlie Humman as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow 

Tracy Spiridakos as Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Canary 

But what I would recommend is if your going to make a Justice League film heres how they can set up.

Focus more on building each hero's own cinematic universe by that what Matt Reeves is doing he's trying to build a Batman Cinematic Universe the same should apply to the rest.

As well if you are trying to make a Justice League film what I would say just focus on establishing your characters, their villains, their supporting cast, focus on writing a good story, and focus on what these characters mean to people. If you want to make references or mention other heroes or different cities that's fine because that can set up a Justice League film. 

Like we can get a proper Justice League film if we just focus on building each character's own universe and then once we got that taken care of we can make a Justice League film.

The team rooster would be different of the DCEU this team rooster is 

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian ManHunter Green Lantern, (Hal Jordan) Flash, (Wally West) Green Arrow, and Black Carny. We would see more members join in the future like Vixen, Aquaman, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, John Stewart, and Red Tornado.

They all come together to fight an alien invasion likely either from 

 Brainiac or Starro.

So it is possible that WB might make a new DC Cinematic Universe with Matt Reeve's Batman film. It could work as long as they do it right this time and get someone like Kevin Feige type guy as head producer. It could work it we could finally a proper DC Cinematic Universe done right and not being rushed. Even though DC is getting better thanks to movies like Shazam and Joker. I'm very excited for future DC films like The Batman, Shazam 2, Black Adam, and Wonder Woman 84.

So what our your thoughts do you think the upcoming Batman film will create a new DC Cinematic Universe? Or do you think it just focus on building a Batman Cinematic Universe instead? Me personally I think it could work if they don't rush it and take their time with it. If they do that we can a good DC Cinematic Universe but I don't know if Matt Reeves would want that because he's more focus on building a Batman Cinematic Universe but like I mention they should build up their characters universe first and then do a proper Justice League film.

Frozen 2 Review

 

So I watched Frozen 2 last night and heres my review of it.....I actually liked it. I know I'm shocked too, because let me tell ya I hate the first Frozen film like I can't stand that song let it go and I wasn't big fan of the first film. But this one though is good and I felt for the characters like I really enjoyed this film a lot. The story was a lot better written than the last one and the characters in the film were good too. I also liked that song Into The Unknown more than let it go because it sounds more epic, mysterious, and the feeling of adventure. I really did enjoy this movie and the animation was great and I got to be honest I find Olaf to be so annoying as a character but after watching this movie I realize he's actually a cool character. I still hate that Olaf Christmas special though. But overall I really did enjoy this film and it did make me laugh at some points. The cast did a great job voicing the characters and overall this is a good film its a lot better than the first one I can tell ya that. Also the lore they dive into is really interesting. 

I give Frozen 2 a 8 out of 10.  Into the Unknown will be stuck playing in your head but hey its better than let it go ugh.  

What Marvel Studios should do with Daredevil

 

Now as you know or don't Horn Head aka Daredevil rights are back at Marvel Studios. So with Daredevil now back officially back at the MCU what should Marvel do with this character?

Now like many I loved the Netflix Daredevil show it was so good and one of the best Marvel tv shows we ever got. Many fans like my cousin who is a die hard fan of Daredevil wants this show back even if it has to be on Disney Plus and sadly Disney Plus won't have any R rated material anytime soon. Still if they brought it back and looked at Mandalorian or other hard PG 13 for inspiration or adapted Mark Waid's run on the character it could work. My cousin and many others don't want a reboot of the character they rather continue where the series left off even if it means you have to tone it down a bit for Disney Plus. 

Here are list of ideas on what they could do with Daredevil in MCU.

8. Bring back the show and continue were it left off. Don't Reboot. 

Marvel is making a big mistake if they reboot Daredevil because the show was so good. Like if they reboot the tv series it sadly lacks all the gritty, dark, violence, and what made the show great. They would make it more PG 13 level but hey you know The Dark Knight film was a hard PG 13 and the Mandorlain is a great show so I think Daredevil could work in that style. Marvel should not reboot this series as a new series or make a movie instead just bring back the Netflix series as a Disney Plus show. 

7. Bring back Charlie Cox and the rest of the cast. 

Marvel needs to bring back the original cast of the show because all of them did a great job. Charlie Cox is Daredevil and he wants to return as Daredevil. The same goes for everyone else and season 3 did end on a cliffhanger and we want more! 

6. Kingpin could be one of the MCU's biggest villains 

Kingpin is one of Marvel's biggest villains and he could be a major villain in the MCU. In fact we could see Kingpin fight Spiderman because he is also an enemy of Spiderman before Frank Miller had him more as a Daredevil villain. Vincent really wants to come back he's been fighting to get this show back on the air and I think he should be a major villain in the MCU for Daredevil, Spiderman, and possibly the Avengers but unlikely. Kingpin's role could be were season three left off but Bullseye is back and he's trying to kill him and his wife which means Daredevil now must protect Kingpin and of course Karen and Foggy too. Also they could make Kingpin the Mayor of New York City like in the comics. 

They both hate each other with a passion but they did make that deal in the end of season three.

5. Make Bullseye the main villain of the show. 

Bullseye was in the third season and he was one of the best parts of the season three. I think they should expand more on this character in a future season and have him actually put on the bullseye costume. I really liked how he dressed up as Daredevil on the show like he made Daredevil look so bad he became the Man Without Mercy instead of Man Without Fear. 

Wilson Bethel did a great job playing Bullseye. Season three did end with him getting his back fixed and you see his eyes are now bullseyes. In season four if it happens have him as the main villain like he wants revenge on Daredevil and Fisk. It would mean Daredevil would actually have to protect Fisk from Bullseye. 

There is also the idea the Bullseye could kill Karen Page and it would be sad but it would just shock people. As well they could expand more Bullseye maybe he could be a Thunderbolt or a Dark Avenger.

4. Possibly have Daredevil team up with more Street level heroes and maybe make him a part time Avenger. 

Now Daredevil's always been a loner it's not really a team player even though he has team up with Spiderman, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Jessica Jones, and many more characters. He was offered to join the Avengers at one point in the comics but he turn it down and turn it down a second time in New Avengers, until he finally accepted the third time. I found it really interesting making him an Avenger because it's something he wouldn't be keen on but if his friends really wanted his help because they talk about how he would make a fine Avenger because of what a good guy he is. So that's an idea like we could see him an Avengers film but he might just help them or agrees to join part time or they make an Avengers tv mini series that focus on street level heroes. Like it could be base on the New Avengers comic with Spiderman, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Spiderwoman, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Misty Knight, and Echo.

It is likely we will see him team up with other heroes but more street level heroes rather than Avenger type heroes likely Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, and Jessica Jones, but I think they might recast those characters but hopefully not Mike Colter and Jon Bethnal because those two were awesome as Luke Cage and Punisher. I would love to see Daredevil meet Moon Knight that would be cool team up but most of all I would love to see him interact with Spiderman. 

3. Give us that Spiderman/Daredevil team up movie 

This an idea that many fans have wanted to see for years a team up Spiderman and Daredevil film. Like Spiderman and Daredevil are best friends in the comics and they have brotherly bond with each other. They both have gone through some horrible things loosing people close to them at the point of giving up but they keep on going. What Marvel needs to do is have these two characters meet and team up or better yet Matt Murdock becomes Peter Parker's Lawyer in the next Spiderman film. This is something I really want to see happen is a Spiderman and Daredevil teaming up on the big screen or maybe on TV. Charlie Cox has express that he really wants to do a team up with Tom Holland and they should do it. 

2. If it can't be bloody and gritty look at The Mandalorian and other hardcore PG 13 shows for a good idea. 

Now one thing we loved about Netflix's Daredevil was it was dark, gritty, extremely violent, and bloody. Now it's likely Disney Plus will cut down on that but they could still make it dark and epic. Like I would say the best example of that is the Dark Knight Trilogy and The Mandalorian combining the two could give us a good Daredevil show.  I mean it should still be the same show but they will likely tone it down but they can still make mature and dark just too mature. 

Honourable Mentions 

A team up Street level Heroes movie or mini series but make better than Defenders. Let's see Daredevil reunite with Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Misty Knight, Punisher and interduce new heroes to Matt Murdock's life like Spiderman, Moon Knight, and Echo. 

Karen Page's death. I think if they bring back the show they should kill off Karen because her death had such a huge impact on Matt and he was at the point of committing suicide but Spiderman stopped him and told him that he understood his pain not able to saving the person he loved.   

Bring Back Elektra at some point. 

Make Foggy more likeable and maybe adapt the cancer story arc from the comics. In the comics Foggy learns that he has cancer but don't worry he lives in the end he manages to beat it thanks Hank Pym's help. Many fans complain that Foggy was annoying but I didn't think he was that bad he got better in later seasons. As well if Karen dies both Matt and Foggy become wrecks and they both have their own way of grieving until the two decide that they are the only family they have left. 

Have Matt reveal his identity to the world. 

Maybe Matt gets a new love interest but not for awhile not until sometime has passed after Karen. 

1. Netflix adapted most of Frank Miller's run, Disney Plus should adapt Mark Waid's run.

Now my cousin did tell me once that this would be the best option for Marvel for they could adapt Mark Waid's run on Daredevil seeing how Netflix's did Frank Miller's run. Mark Waid's Daredevil was well loved by fans but the only difference was this was more light hearted and had a bit of upbeat to it. Many fans still enjoyed Mark's run on Daredevil, despite Daredevil being positive and smiling and it had humour that work and fit well with the character. If you're going to have humour on the show make sure it fits with the character and the style of the show. I think Mark Waid's Daredevil is the best idea for Disney Plus to adapt Daredevil but I hope they just bring back the show and change the tone but still make it dark, mature, great fights, and have very intense moments. I also hope they won't ruin with any force agendas. 

So these are my ideas on what Marvel should do with Daredevil now that they have the rights back. I really hope they just bring back the show instead of rebooting it because that show was one of Netflix's best shows ever. Bring back this show and if you have to tone it down fine but look at Mark Waid's run on Daredevil for an inspiration for this series.
