ONE PIECE LIVE ACTION TV SERIES!!!!!!

So I just found out this out today there is going to be a live action One Piece tv series. No, Japan isn't making this Hollywood is making this. Marty Adistein is going to be producing the show he did Prison Break, Teen Wolf, Last Man Standing, and and the movie Hanna.

Now I've been a fan of One Piece for while, I'll be honest I haven't caught up with it for a while I've been busy with other stuff. This news is worrying to all One Piece fans because lets face it Hollywood has had horrible luck adapting Animes and Mangas to the big screen, but that's only the big screen, now for the small screen it could work. Now this tv show could work because they can cover more in the story and have more character development like if it was a movie they probably couldn't cover most of the stuff and leave the audience going "WTF" and the film does poorly at box office, good example look at Dragonball Evolution terrible movie like you can see why Akira went back to franchise and made us forget about it and GT as well.

Now the studio making this are also making the Cowboy Bebop Live Action TV Show so it could be all right hands. Oda himself made it clear to the studio that wanted to do this and quote "It never lets down the fans that have been supporting the series for 20 years." Oda is on board for this live action show to happen but if it fails he will rage with all of us. It's kind of good Oda is invole because he should get a say because he like all us knows how bad Hollywood can fuck up a franchise.

Producer Marty Adelstien has said this could be the most expensive show to make because One Piece is full crazy looking characters, exciting action scenes, and full of awesome moments.
One of the things they need to do is cut almost all of the filler stuff and it is likely they will shorten some of the canon stories. If this is successful I see it going for eight or twelve seasons. Because the Manga and the Anime are still going strong but it's likely they will pull a Game of Thrones and just ended before Oda does.

If I were to give any advice to these guys I would say cast unknowns or television actors for the roles and also get the voice actors of the characters of the anime to teach them and advice them on how to play the characters. Knowing this studio they might cut characters out but hopefully just  filler characters and that will likely be the case.

Now there is no release date for this show or any updates so far on casting or studio or show runners, all we can do is just wait and see. Hopefully it might turn out to be an awesome show or it could ended up being a total screw up. Also Sony now owns Funimation so it could be likely that Sony will get to this make this maybe not. Well tell me what you think are you excited for this or are you worried.
