Nightwing Movie Fan Cast

Hey everyone so awhile ago I made a Nightwing movie fan cast and ideas. So now I'm going to a Nightwing Movie Cast and Ideas. Also I did some recast to some of the characters in my old Nightwing Movie fan cast.  So with a Nightwing in development that will likely take awhile because WB is trying to get everything together. Heres my fan cast for a Nightwing Movie and Nightwing Trilogy idea.

Dylan O'Brien as Dick Grayson/Nightwing 

I originally casted Aaron Taylor Johnson as Nightwing now I'm going with Dylan O'Brien this time. First film is about Dick trying to be his own hero in his own right, the second film is him owning the Haley Circus as well facing off against Deathstroke and people trying to take over Haley Circus, and the Third film is him facing off against Court of Owls as well as being mentor to Damian Wayne. 

Aidan Turner as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Bruce Wayne aka Batman would be in the first film but he wouldn't steal the show it be like Iron Man's role in Spiderman Homecoming. Dick wants to be his own hero and get out of Batman's shadow and Bruce knows and is actually supports him in what is he doing. Batman's only appears in the first film and third film.

Sophie Skelton as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl

 Barbara Gordon the daughter of Commissioner Jim Gordon aka Batgirl. Batgirl would be the first film as a love interest for Dick. Barbara works full time as crime fighting partner to Batman now. She would not be in the other two because she's got her own thing and also Dick and her aren't together anymore.

Hugh Laurie as Alfred

Alfred Pennyworth Bruce's butler and the most bad ass butler ever. Alfred is only in the first film.

Victoria Justice as Kori/Starfire

Starfire who is one of my favourite dc characters and Starfire would be in the second film and third film as Dick's love interest. Starfire is very powerful, strong, very kind, and a princess of alien planet. Theres no love triangle with Dick, Barbara, and Kori none of that crap. Kori helps Nightwing with his battles against criminals and help with his personal struggles.

Charlie Rowe as Tim Drake/Red Robin

Tim Drake the third Robin only difference is he's called Red Robin instead. Tim appears in the first film getting advice from Dick on how to be as a good Robin and learning how to be a good detective.

Bryce Gheisar as Damian Wanye/Robin

Yup Damian Wayne would be in the third becoming a sidekick to Nightwing, Bruce as Dick trains Damian but Damian is very difficult to work with as usual but in the end he learns a lot from Dick and gains a lot of respect for him.

Kevin Durand as Mark Desmond/Blockbuster

Blockbuster is basically Kingpin and Bane merged into one. Blockbuster is a crime boss and is the first film's main villain. Blockbuster has corrupted the justice system of Bludheaven and Nightwing seeks to end his reign of terror and save Bludheaven.

Kate Winslet as Detective Elise Svoboda

Elise Svoboda is a detective in Bludheaven police department and an ally to Nightwing.

Joe Manganiello as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke

Deathstroke would be the main villain in the second film and his goal to hunt down Dick Grayson but not kill him but recruit him and make him his apprentice.

Christian Serratoes as Catalina Flores/Tarantula

Catalina Flores is a former FBI agent who left Bludheaven because of all the injustices she saw there and now takes up the mantle of Tarantula. She seeks to kill Blockbuster and kill the criminals of Bludheaven, but Nightwing doesn't agree with that and is trying to show her a different way. Catalina appears in the first film and second film.  

Jesse Williams as Raptor 

Raptor is an assassin that works with Deathstroke to hunt down Nightwing. Raptor use to work as circus performer at Haley's Circus, Raptor was in love with Dick Grayson's mother and despite her marrying John he made a promise that he would keep an eye out for Dick. Raptor would be in the second film.

Yoshi Sudarso as Raymond McCreary/Saiko

Raymond McCreary circus performer who works at Haley's Circus and is a childhood friend to Dick Grayson. Growing up Raymond was always jealous of how much attention Dick got at the Haley's Circus and he is trained to assassin by Deathstroke and seeks to hunt down Nightwing. Raymond and Raya Vestri plot to kill Dick Grayson and take control of Haley's Circus.  

Haley Ramm and Galadriel Stineman as Double Dare

Two circus performers that acrobatics who are actually thieves and are secondary villains in the first film that work for Blockbuster.

Katherine McNarama as Raya Vestri

A childhood friend of Dick Grayson and who works at Haley Circus who wants to take over and joins with Raymond aka Saiko to take over Haley Circus and kill Dick Grayson.

Benito Martinez as Tony Zucco

Tony Zucco would appear in flashbacks and then it's revealed that he's still alive but he's trying to reform himself and he's now a father and a husband. He appears in the third film.

Luke Roberts and Mila Kunis as John and Mary Grayson

Dick's parents who were killed by Tony Zucco. now his parents only appear in flashbacks or in dreams. Dick like Bruce wishes everyday he could have save his parents but the best he can do to honour their memory is protect people from crimes and that no one will go through what he went through.

Jared Padalecki as Talon

Talon would be the main villain in the third film, Talon seeks to get Dick to join the court of owls. It's also reveal that Talon is in fact Dick Grayson's great grandfather and wants to pass the Talon mantle down to him.

My Ideas For a Nightwing Movie

A story from sidekick to hero and a coming of age.

One thing this movie series should be about is a character's journey from sidekick to hero. That would be the idea for Dick Grayson he's tired of being a sidekick and wants to be his own hero in his own right. That's also a reason why he goes to Bludheaven because its crime is much worse there then Gotham and Dick wants to give it hope and see it free from corruption. 

4.

Make it a dark, detective, comedy film.

Now one thing we all know Batman films and tv shows are dark, well some of them. People prefer a dark and gritty Batman films because Batman is meant serious, dark, despairing, and learning to pick are ourselves up. Now for Nightwing he's not as a dark as Batman he's more light hearted, he's more open about being seeing, and smiles more and tells jokes. For the Nightwing movie make it a dark, detective, comedy film. Nightwing fits both light and dark.

See Nightwing become a mentor

The one thing I want to see is Dick becoming a mentor to Bruce's son Damian. Now of course there are some struggles with Damian but in the end Dick learns how to be mentor and a big brother figure to Damian and Damian grows to respect him and look at him as an older brother figure. That's my idea for the third film's story.

Dick dealing with not just crime but his personal life, running a circus, and his romantic life.

Now one thing I could see besides Dick being a hero is him also managing his personal life like in the second film he inherits Haley's circus the circus he grew up in, until Bruce adopted him after his parents were killed. We see Dick face everyday stuff like we face everyday a job, owning a business, and having a romantic life. Like Dick tries to keep his relationship in tact. In the first film his relationship is with Batgirl and the next two are him in a relationship with Starfire. I prefer Starfire over Batgirl and the rest of his love interests. Thats an important thing for the movie to show is his personal life.

Set Dick Grayson up to take on the mantle of Batman.

Now heres one thing I want to see let's say whoever plays Batman in Matt Reeves Batman film plays Batman for another eight or nine movies and when his contract's up. Now studios either reboot or recast the character I think what DC and WB should do if that happens they should pass the torch gave us a new Batman thats not Bruce Wayne. Have Dick Grayson become the new Batman in a new Batman Film Series. This could be something new and something we haven't seen before. That would be a really cool idea and it would blow people's mind. Like if WB does six or eight Batman movies the last one should be the one retires Bruce Wayne and has Dick Grayson take up the mantle of Batman.

In the Nightwing movies it should show Dick has no desire to become Batman and feels like its role he could never see himself as, because in his eyes Bruce is Batman and he doesn't want to replace him. In time let's say after Bruce's "Death" Dick is battling with himself on taking up mantle and decides if he's going to be Batman, he should do it his way because Batman is an idea not a person. Dick takes up the mantle of Batman with Damian as his Robin and this also would mean the end for Nightwing and beginning of the new Batman.

This would be a great way to end one Batman Franchise

and to begin a new Batman Franchise with someone else wearing the cowl.

That's my cast and ideas for a Nightwing Movie and one in the works I hope Chris McKay gets started on it as soon as possible. Let me know what you think leave a comment and what would do you think of a Nightwing movie idea.
