What they should have done in WW84 Spoilers from the film.

 

Now as some of you know I watched Wonder Woman 84 and like many I wasn't happy with how the film turned out.

So I'm going write and show how this sequel should have been done.

Now for the record I hear WB is more to blame for the film's problems because Patty said the studio made her change the original ending of this film. So once again it's the studio's fault but I did also hear WB wasn't happy with the film and that's why the put it on HBO Max. 

Now heres what I think Wonder Woman 2 should have been about.

10. The film should have been set in modern days time instead of the 80s.

I think one of the biggest problems of the film is its another time period film, what they should have done was have the film set after Justice League. I hear even Gal didn't want the next film to be another period piece but I hear she doesn't want the third film to be another period piece as well because Diana's past has been covered. So it is likely the third one will be set modern days time which is smart but I think they should have done that for the second film too. I mean look at the Captain America films the first one is set in WW2 and then after its set in modern day times. 

9. Maxwell Lord could have had a better story arc.

Although I did like Max's story arc about him trying to help his son because he just wants him to live a good life. But they could done more to his story like I do like in the end when him and his son reunite and he puts end to his wishes but I feel like they could of done more with this character. Like the whole team up with Cheetah would work but I feel like what could have happen was she's going to kill his son and his ex wife if he doesn't grant her wish to be more powerful and that would result in a second transformation for Cheetah.

From what I've been told in the comics is a very smart businessman

he's been anti hero and villain.

I do understand why fans aren't happy with this adaption of Maxwell Lord.

 

Maybe instead of a speech that Diana gives him, she shows him his son and ex wife is safe and tells him what's more important the world or your family. Then Max's son tells his dad this not him and that his love for his son stops him for what's doing. Maxwell sees the error of his ways and stops because he loves his son. Also this whole wish thing was kind of bad I have to be honest but Maxwell could have been this guy who believes he can make the world a better place for everyone because like the comics he does have the power to grant wishes but maybe its only one wish at a time. Maxwell's often been betrayed as a villain/anti hero. Maxwell Lord is a bad ass comics they could have added more elements or have been more inspired by his comic counterpart. However, in the end he would face the conquests for his actions but he would work to atone for his actions to make his son proud. 

8. Cheetah should have been more terrifying and should have had a better origin story.

Even though I did like Kristen Wigg as Cheetah but I felt her character could have been done better. Like instead of the whole, oh she makes a wish to be like Wonder Woman they could have done the new 52 Origin with a DC Rebirth feel were she stabs herself with the dagger known as the God Killer Knife that turn into Cheetah. But they could still include the whole they were friends once like they meet at ARGUS were she works and she was historian on greek mythology and a professor of archaeology. It revealed that she knows Diana is from the Amazon island of Themyscira but Diana denies it and laughs it off. Barbara feeling hurt by her friend for not being honest with her. Performs a ritual with the god killer knife stabs herself with the god killer dagger in name of the goddess Mafdet and thus she was transformed into Cheetah. Cheetah should be like Wonder Woman's Joker/Two Face they were friends but now they are enemies. She does kill a lot of people to get what she wants and she won't stop she destroys Wonder Woman for abandoning her. She does team up with Maxwell but what they could have done was that she's going to kill Max's son and ex wife if he doesn't help her and he helps her by granting her wish to become more powerful. Also we would have Diana and her have more fights, there would even be moments were Diana is about to die but Wonder Woman would end up killing her but in truth she may have faked her death. 

Cheetah could have a better look in the film, she could have a more comic book look like this one. First half of the film she's human and then after she looks like this after the ritual but by the end of the film.

Maxwell grants her wish to be more powerful and this could have been her second form and she's more dangerous and more wild than ever. 

We would see Diana struggle to defeat Cheetah in her second form. However, Wonder Woman would win in the end thanks to the golden armour she has. As Wonder Woman beats Cheetah, she gets back up and attack and Diana grabs her sword and stabs Cheetah through the chest.

Cheetah falls down a massive cliff and Diana can't help but feel sad for doing this for she was her friend and Steve tells her that at least freed her from the curse she made. We also see Barbara turn back into first form and later human form as she lies on the ground. As Diana leaves eventually she comes back with Steve to bury her and they see her body is gone might have been washed away by the waves or she might still be alive. 

If you saw my How I would start the DCEU, Cheetah would return in my second Justice League film.

7. We should have Wonder Woman meet her father Zeus for the first time. We should have seen some father and daughter bonding.

This one thing that needs to be shown in a Wonder Woman film like have her meet her father Zeus. Like the film could have Zeus in the movie were she meets her dad for the first time and the two get to know each other and that he loves his daughter for what she's done with her life. I feel like we need to see Diana bond with her father arc and we see what type of man Zeus is. I think this version Zeus would be loving father who cares about his children, he's wise, smart, but he's arrogant and he's done some bad stuff but he has redeeming qualities. In the film besides getting to know Diana and giving her words of wisdom. At the end of the film he tells her she must unite all of her siblings because Circe the Sorceress is about to wage war and kill all of the gods and their children as well the amazons. Not only that Ares has returned and he fights for Circe now. Also Zeus I think Clive Owen would be a good choice for Zeus.

6. The film could have set the stages for Donna Troy and Wonder Girl

I mean this another idea like why not build up the Wonder Woman family like we could have scene that shows Donna Troy and Cassie Sandmark are being set up. 

Like they could have done a mid credit scene were we see Derinoe a witch creating Donna Troy from magical clay. 

We would see this mid credit scene were Donna is born and her goal is to kill Wonder Woman.

The third film could have Donna trying to kill her or the Amazons stop this already and give Donna false memories and thus she already becomes an ally to Diana.

For Cassie basically we have scene were Diana meets Cassie on the streets and she's shown to be a Wonder Woman fan girl. Of course it would be at the end of the film and we see Cassie about to meet her dad and Diana sits next to her and they talk for a bit. Cassie sees her dad and Diana knows him because Zeus told her of her half siblings. Diana says his name is Lennox and he is surprise she knows his name and she reveals who she is and that they are siblings. Cassie is in even more shock to find out she is the granddaughter of Zeus and her hero Wonder Woman is her aunt.

Also for Donna Troy I would cast Kaya Scodelario and for Wonder Girl I go with Elle Fanning. 

5. How to bring back Steve Trevor instead the whole wish idea.

Now Steve Trevor in truth I wasn't a fan on how they brought him back to life through a wish and he's in the body of another man. It was weird and I didn't make sense to me.

 I feel like what they could have done instead was this film could have interduce ARGUS. ARGUS is government organization kind of like SHIELD. They could have played a big role in this film and Diana would team up with Team 7 to stop Cheetah and Maxwell. 

Now instead of Steve coming back from a wish instead, Diana meets his great great grandson Steve Rockwell Trevor. Chris Pine would play Steve Rockwell Trevor. When Diana meets him she at first believes its Steve, she even hugs and kisses him at first but he reveals that's he's actually the great great grandson of Steve Trevor. Diana is shocked and embarrassed that she did kiss him but at same time she's shocked to know Steve had children and never told her. He looks just like Steve.

It turns out before Diana came into Steve's life, Steve had a girlfriend before the war and before he met Diana, they broke up and she found out she was pregnant but before she could tell Steve, he was killed in that plane. Now some might look down at Steve for this because he never told Diana but I think they could reveal that Steve did mention he had girlfriend to Diana and Diana she knew about some Steve past girlfriends but he didn't know about one becoming pregnant and neither did he. 

As well Diana would have moved on from Steve even though when she meets his great great grandson its awkward at first because she thought it was actually Steve. However, Diana has moved on since his death.   

Steve is an agent of ARGUS that was formed after WW1 because if you watch the end credit scenes they show Steve's team were planning on forming a group and that group is likely ARGUS. Diana would team up Steve and his team they of them would go up against Cheetah and Maxwell. Much like his ancestor, Steve is the leader of squad team called Team 7. He and Diana would develop a romantic relationship and it would be weird to some at first to some but this Steve is different from ancestor. For example, they are both good men but this Steve is more daring, a he's a good military leader, skilled gunsman, he's knows how to survive in the wilderness, and he's a really good cook too. But like his ancestor is also a very good pilot because it runs in the family.

Also film would have other descendants of the squad from the first film like Etta Candy, Sameer, Charlie, and Chief.  It would be interesting see Diana teaming up with her old friends descendants. 

By the end of the film Diana and Steve begin a relationship and she even joins ARGUS as a part time member/agent. 

4. The movie should have explore of Amazon Culture, Greek Mythology, and The Gods.

Now 84 did talk some of Greek Mythology but I think there was more they could have talked about. Like learn more about the lore of the amazons and more details about Greek Mythology. Like we could talk more about the Greek Gods and like I mentioned they should have Zeus or other gods in the film. The film could show more of Amazon culture and even mention other Amazon tribes. The opening 84 though was good I did enjoy that. The tournament scene was fun to watch and it was interesting.    

Like Diana could have talked about the Amazons of Bana Mighdall and their culture and ways of life. I could see Diana mentioning how much she doesn't like them because they have slavery in their kingdom which she is strongly against. Wonder Woman hates the idea of slavery in any form because no one should be treated like that. Diana would mention Artemis of Bana Midgall as one of the most deadliest warriors of the earth.

Even though they have great warriors they are still slavers.

What would have been interesting scene is when Diana and Steve talk he asks her questions about the Amazons of Themyscira. One question is how do they reproduce. Diana explains it that the Amazons would go out to sea, butt naked and they would find a ship full of men to have sex with and then they would kill them. Steve is bewildered and shocked by that, but Diana assures him they don't kill the men anymore. After the amazons return to Themyscira and if they give birth to a girl she is among the amazons but if its a boy. The boys are taken by the God of Fire Hephaestus who adopts them raising them to be blacksmiths and warriors. 

Sons of Themyscira.

They are known as the Sons of Themyscira, sons abandoned by their mothers for they were not born girls. However, if an Amazon does not want to abandon her son she is given a choice to take the boy and leave Themyscira forever or let the god of fire raise him. Diana does mention she had a friend who chose to raise her son and as a result, she was banished from Themyscira, never to return. Diana at first was mad at her friend for choosing that, but in the end, she understood that her friend wanted to be a mother and she didn't care what gender her child would be. 

When Steve hears about this he believes its wrong that they do to those boys Diana agrees but Diana does point out she knows about how girls are treated in men's world but they both agree both subjects are wrong and that the idea of abandoning our children is not right no matter what. In fact Diana has even met the sons of themyscira once she feels for them because she considers them to be her brothers and that should be treated with respect. Also in the third film they could have a scene were Diana talks to Themyscira to let men live on the island.  

This film should have also set up that Amazons show that Patty Jenkins is planning to make because we should know about the Wonder Woman lore and learn more about the Amazons. It would be really cool set up for that series and teases what Amazon culture is like. 

3. Bring back Ares in the third film.

Now some fans have complain about Ares's role in the first Wonder Woman which is understandable. They could have done more with Ares in the film. I think would have been cool is that we have scene were Zeus meets with Diana's mother Hippolyta and he reveals to her that Ares has returned revealed by Circe the Immortal Sorceress and that only two children born of Zeus will stop them. In the third film we see more of Ares in action and he's played by a younger actor and we see him at his best. Also he would get a rematch with Diana too and this time he's more powerful. He also gets to battle Steve and Jason too. 

2. Have Circe as the main villain in the next film.

I think Circe would be a great villain for Wonder Woman to fight in the third film. Like we could have Circe bring back Ares and team up with him. She's trying to cause chaos to the world and she wants to destroy Themyscira as does Ares they both want to wipe out the Amazons. Not only that she wishes to create chaos in this world and kill the gods and their children. 

Honourable Mentions

1. There was no need for those scenes of Barbara and Diana being hit on or harassed because it was just way to demonize men as perverts and creeps. Like I know some may disagree on those scenes with me but they felt forced and they had no purpose being there. I really felt like those scenes were not needed in the film because the first film didn't even have those type of scenes. The first film just focus on good characters were trying to do the right thing and stop WW1. Also Diana respected her male companions and they respected her too. Like why don't you have Wonder Woman inspiring everyone like all heroes should instead this film has every signal male character except for Steve being a creepy, drunk, or a pervert. 

2. I will say I liked the Lynda Carter cameo and they could still keep that and have her play a big role in the third film. 

3. I would love to see Gal appear in Shazam 2 Fury of the Gods because like the Superman cameo which was fun. I think a good cameo for Wonder Woman is she's Billy's prom date. I just think this would be a funny idea for the next Shazam film.

4. I think Patty needs to look at Thor Ragnarok for inspiration for the third film.  

5. Don't make the film too long or drag on too much with too many story arcs and most of all focus on one story! Because this film was too long and it got boring for all those long hours. 

 

1. The film should have reveal that Diana has a twin brother named Jason and that will play a big part in the next film. 

Now if you read Justice League Darksied War, Dianna learns that she had a secret twin brother named Jason. Her mother had him raised by Glaucus and there could have been scene where Zeus and Hippolyta have a talk and tells her that Ares has return and he and Circe will destroy unless their two children can stop it and Zeus tells her its time to tell Diane about her brother Jason and Hippolyta replies "Our son Jason." The reveal would have audiences jaws drop like holy shit Wonder Woman has a twin brother?!?! Like that would have been such a shocking reveal, Diana has a twin brother named Jason. I think the third film could adapt the War Torn arc and Children of Gods story arcs. 

So that's what I think Wonder Woman 84 should have been about.

It should have been set in modern day times no 80s, it should have ARGUS, it should have set up Donna Troy and Wonder Girl, We also should have Wonder Woman meeting Zeus for the first time, learn more the amazons culture, and most of all give us a better written villains.

This is just what I think they should have done now if you disagree with me on this film that's fine.

I know people who like it that's fine but personally I think the first one was way better because it had more heart to it in my opinion.

I do hope Patty does a better job next time and I have nothing but respect for her and Gal. 

I just hope WB won't butt in the working of the next film too much because Wonder Woman 3 is now a go. 

It will be set in modern day times which is good by the way.
