My Top Seven Favourite Films and Top 5 Worst Films.

These are my top favorite films this year and the top 4 worst.

So this year we've had good films and bad films. Here are my top five favorite and worst films I've seen this year.

Here are my top Seven favorite films.

7. One Piece RED

It's an anime film, but I must tell you it was a good film and musical, even if it was in Japanese.

6. Violent Night

David Harbor as Santa Claus it's a good Christmas classic.

5. Sonic The Hedgehog 2
I think Sonic 2 has broken the video game curse, and I had a fun time watching it. I'm looking forward to seeing Sonic 3 and I'm excited about the Mario Bros movie.

4. Top Gun Maverick
This movie was awesome, and it was worth the wait. I just had a blast watching this film, and I love the cast and crew of this film. Also, the scene with Ice Cube and Maverick was great.

3. Pinocchio
This film better win best-animated film because this movie was amazing and just incredible. Disney should take notes from Del Toro's work and other story-driven directors.

2. The Batman
I loved this film and think it's a great Batman film. I'm excited to see what Matt Reeves will do next with the character, and you won't see this Batman meet other heroes in the DCU. Which is actually a smart idea.

1. Northman
To me, Northman is the best film I've seen this year. Everyone in this film did a great job, and it's also a great Viking film. I got a lot of Lion King vibes from it. Also, this is how you do an excellent Viking movie, unlike Love and Thunder.

These are my top five favorite films this year.

Now here are my top four worst films of 2022

5. Black Adam
I initially liked this film, but after rewatching and talking about it. I realize this film was a letdown, and you won't see the Rock's Black Adam in the DCU. I will say the saving grace was Hawkman and Dr. Fate, and that's it. I hope Shazam 2 is better.

4. Uncharted
This film honestly, it took years to make this film, and if you ask me, they should have made a show and adapted the first game instead of something original. I love Tom Holland, but he should stick with Spiderman.

3. Thor Love and Thunder

This film, to me, is why Phase 4 is the worst phase of the MCU. Marvel's winning days are over, and Phase 4, by far, is the worst phase now. Despite it sidling him, I did like No Way Home and Dr. Strange 2, and you all know how I feel about Wakanda Forever. Also, I haven't liked the shows, but I like the actress who plays Ms. Marvel. She's really cool. Love and Thunder just butchered the God Butcher storyline. It should have been darker and more serious. After this movie, Chris Hemsworth wants a more serious Thor. Next, I think he agrees with fans about how bad Marvel's been. Northman is what Love and Thunder should have been.

2. Pinocchio

This movie is proof we are all getting tired of these remakes! This movie was so bad I was blown away by how bad this film was. Disney, stop remaking great films. Just remake your bad movies or old movies that didn't have enough story development. A remake of Sword in the Stone would be great, and I would watch that or remake the Black Calutron; it is based on a fantasy book series called the Chronicles of Prydain. Honestly, this movie was so bad. This is why Del Toro's Pinocchio is the better film because it was story-driven, not money driven.

1. Morbius
Just awful, like The Room level terrible, but Morbius Time is funny. Nuff said about this film. However, I am excited about Sony's Spider-Verse 2. I cannot wait for that film. However, Sony's live-action spider verse isn't good. Sony needs to get rid of Avi Aard and have Phil Lord and Chris Miller as head producers, which has happened since Sony made a deal with Amazon to produce Spider-Man shows.

So that's my top 7 favorite and top 5 worst films this year. Let me know what you think, and hey, if you like the movies I listed as the worst, that's fine.

My Top Favourite and Worst TV Shows this year.

My Top Favourite and Worst TV Shows This Year

So for this blog, I'm listing my favorite tv shows and shows I hated this year. Starting with my favorite to the worst shows.

These are my favorite shows this year.

8. Afterlife

The last season of Afterlife was fantastic, and I was brought to tears in the final episode. This a funny show but also a very emotional show too. I recommend this show to anyone who loves British shows.

7. Cyberpunk Edgerrunners

I really enjoy Cyberpunk it's such great anime, and I love the characters. I recommend this show because it's fantastic animation and well-written characters. The voice acting in this show is great too.

6. Yellowjacket

This show actually came out in 2021, but when I watched it with my friends, I was blown away by this show. If you grew up in the 90s, you would like this show. You have big child stars from the 90s in this show. Christina Ricci is one of the best characters in the show, and she's fantastic. Everyone on this show is excellent, and it's an exciting show to watch.

5. Atlanta Season 4
This is Atlanta's last season; I must say this was a great final season. My favorite episode was episode 8, a mockumentary of a Goofy Movie. It's so good I highly recommend watching the last season of Atlanta. I'm going to miss this show, and Donald Glover did a great job finishing it.

4. Pam and Tommy
Pam and Tommy were incredible. This show was so funny, and you do feel bad for Tommy and Pam because a sex tape was released to the public. As well in the show, both of them struggled with their careers. Pam wanted to be taken seriously as an actor, and Tommy's style of music was phasing out because Nirvana came and heavy metal was downgraded. Also, this show has a lot of nudity, so heads up, you see Cinderella and Winter Soldier naked.

3. The Boys Season 3
The new season of the Boys was insane like don't even get me started on Herogasm. Holy shit, that scene was insane. Season 3 was excellent, and Jensen Ackles stole the show as Soldier Boy. I also met Laz Alonso this year at Fan Expo, and he's a nice guy who asked him what the hardest scene he had to do was, and he said Herogasm. I can't blame him. That episode was fun, but like, oh my god, that's insane and disturbing. The whole cast did a great job.

2. Peacemaker

Peacemaker is a spin-off from Suicide Squad directed by James Gunn, and I loved this show. It was so much fun, and all the characters were well-written. John Cena did a fantastic job, and I like his co-leads, Leota and Vigilante. They weren't forced like Marvel's Phase 4 co-leads. They were well written, and Peacemaker is so funny in the show. I think we will see more of Peacemaker in the DCU. We Give it a watch, it is so good.  This show is much better than any of the Marvel shows we got from Disney Plus.

1. House of the Dragon

This show redeemed Game of Thrones Season 8. I know many people had doubts because they were disappointed by how season 8 ended and how the show fell from grace. House of the Dragon redeems Game of Thrones. Unlike the books. The Dance of Dragons storyline is already written and has an ending. The cast all do a fantastic job, and Matt Smith, who plays Daemon, is the best character in the show. He is badass, and he's so much fun to watch. Princess Rhaeyna is a fantastic character too, and I love how they wrote her as a character who wants to be the queen she's better written than Galadriel is in Rings of Power. I also loved King Visery in the show, played by Paddy Considine. Give that man an Emmy for his performance. The CGI was also great, and the battles in this show are epic.
I highly recommend this show, and everyone on this show does an amazing job.

Here are the worst shows of 2022, and I just hate these shows. If you like them, that's fine.

4. Obi-Wan
This show was a letdown, and it wasn't even about Obi-Wan it was about Reva and Leia. Originally the show was about Obi-Wan and Luke, but Kathleen Kennedy messed it up and forced Deb Chow to change it. I feel like Deb Chow got screwed over because I think her original drafts were way better. Also, this show has a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies. Obi-Wan gets burned by Darth Vader and has zero burns on his body it makes no sense? I find it weird that Aunt Puru, a very kind and nice character, has guns ready to defend their home? Why wasn't she like that in A New Hope? It makes no sense! Plus, other things that made no sense, like how Reva survived being stabbed by Darth Vader? This show just wasn't what I expected it to be, and I blame Kennedy. She's got to go. Now for the cast. They all did a good job; it's just the writing sucked.
I recommend watching How it Should have Ended Obi-Wan. It's so funny and points out the show's problems.

3. Moon Knight

Moon Knight was a letdown because, as I wrote about how I would have made Moon Knight. It should have been a dark and gritty show, but it wasn't. Moon Knight could have been Marvel's Batman. It was a letdown they just butchered this character. This show makes me worried about Daredevil Born Again because Charlie has said the show won't be gory, but it will still be dark. Moon Knight was not what I expected it to be because I read comics and wanted something dark and gritty.
This is what Moon Knight fans wanted to see.
As well, I think they messed up the three personalities of Marc Spencer.
You can check that out on my How Marvel Should Have Made Moon Knight.

2. She-Hulk

She-Hulk was another letdown. I hated how the character was written, and the show wasn't a court-drama comedy. It was more about hating YouTubers and Critics of this show. In the show, what makes Jen Walters angry is getting catwalk on the street. Why not be mad at losing a court case or letting down her client who relied on her to help them. That would have made more sense. This show was a letdown, and I hated how they wrote She-Hulk in the show because she came off as unlikeable, while in the comics, she's a great character. I hated how they changed the character's origin instead of Bruce saving her through a blood transfusion. Instead, she gets his blood on her during a car accident. I admit I was excited to see Daredevil in the show, but She Hulk's twerking scene was cringe to watch. Mantis's dance in the Holiday special was funny because Mantis is more likable than She-Hulk. The showrunners messed up badly, and the CGI was crap in the show.
The She-Hulk from the animated show is what She-Hulk should have been based on.
This is the She-Hulk we should have gotten from the animated series.

Also hated how Skarr, the son of Hulk, was introduced in the show.
What we got.
What we wanted.

1. Rings of Power

I hate this show so much that you all know how I feel about this garbage fan fiction. That's all I need to write. I also found the shipping of Galadriel and Sauron very creepy and not needed at all. Not to mention, they changed way too much of the lore. When Jackson made the films, he respected Tolkien's work, but he made changes but small in comparison to Amazon's show. The showrunners made more lore changes, which didn't work.

So that's my favorite and worst shows for me to agree or disagree with me this year. Again, if you like these shows, that's fine. I'm just writing about how I feel about these shows that I loved and hated.

Superman DCU Fan Cast and Ideas

DCU Superman
Fan Cast and Ideas

Here is my fan cast and ideas for DCU's Superman reboot.

So with a new Superman on the way from James Gunn and after doing a Trinity Fan Cast, here is my fan cast and ideas for a Superman reboot. Starting with my Fan Cast.

For Director, I would choose Joseph Kosinski for his work on Top Gun Maverick.

David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman

Danielle Campbell as Lois Lane

Adam Driver as Lex Luthor

Ty Simpkins as Jimmy Olsen

Greg Kinnear as Perry White

Brandon Michael Hall as Ron Troupe

Lili Reinhart as Cat Grant

Rupert Grint as Steve Lombard

Matthew McConaughey and Julie Bowen as Pa and Ma Kent

Jon Hamm as General Sam Lane

Michael Fassbender as Brainiac

So that's my Fan Cast for a DCU Superman Cast.

Here are my ideas for the film.

6. How people view Superman in the film.
The film needs to show how people feel about Superman. Some people like Lois and Jimmy view him as a hero, while others like Lex Luthor and Sam Lane view him as a threat to humanity. Clark understands why some people don't trust him, but he doesn't care what they think of him. He does want them to know he only wants to help people and tell everyone he can be trusted. That's something that needs to be explored in the film.

5. Use elements and adapt Superman Earth One and Brainiac.
So since James Gunn announced his Superman reboot will focus on a young Superman. I think James will be adapting and using elements from Superman Earth One, where Superman is young and living in Metropolis and protecting it. Gunn has confirmed it will not be an origin story which is good because this story should be Superman Year 3, and they should also adapt the Brainiac storyline by Geoff Johns. We see Superman face off against Brainiac and learn he is responsible for Krypton's destruction. Brainiac wants to take Metropolis as part of his collection of cities from different planets.

4. Superman's romance with Lois Lane and his job at the Daily Planet.
No doubt Lois will be in the film as his love interest, and I hope they develop a good romance between the two. I can see Lois being an intelligent journalist, and she wants to know more about Superman. She would learn that Clark is Superman but in the second film. You could also have her father in the movie who hates Superman and thinks he's an alien, but Lois disagrees with him. In the first film, Lois won't find out Clark is Superman until the second film. In the third film, I can see the two get married, and we would see the birth of Jon Kent. We also see Clark working as a reporter and his job, and I can see him living with Jimmy Olsen in his apartment.

3. Give us a proper Lex Luthor and set him up as the next film's villain.
Lex Luthor will likely be in the film, but he should be set up as a future villain. Like Sam Lane, he thinks Superman is alien and a threat to the world. Lex is one of the smartest men alive, and he believes Superman will one day destroy the world. Lex would help Superman stop Brainiac, but at the film's end, Lex discovers Kryptonite and decides his new goal is to kill Superman.

2. Make the film light-hearted and fun but has serious moments.
This Superman film needs to be light-hearted and fun to watch. We also need Superman to be a very positive character, and he's a character who never gives up on hope. The Kents inspired him to help people, but even he acknowledges that he can't save everyone. I would like a scene where he can't save everyone but doesn't give up. For example, Pa and Ma Kent are killed in a car crash, and he couldn't save them. However, before he dies, his father tells him not to give up, and both of his parents love him and believe he's here for a reason. Clark understands what his father says to him, and he promises to his father that he won't give up and will use his powers to help people. However, he knows he can't save everyone, but he won't give up.  We need a scene like that in this film, and I hope James Gunn gives us a scene like that. Also, I think this film needs to have Krypto because who doesn't love dogs. As well as set up Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, and Superwoman to build up the Superman family.
Also would love to see this scene get adapted on screen.

1. This film will set up the DCU and set up a proper Justice League.
Since they announced a proper ten-year plan for DC. This Superman will be the start of the DCU, and Gunn said you won't see Superman interact with other heroes in the first film, but I can see them mentioning other cities and characters. Every DC character needs to build up their own story and universe before you give us Justice League. I can see phase one films being.
DCU Superman, DCU Batman, DCU Wonder Woman, DCU Superman 2, which would set up Justice League, Green Lantern, Flash, Hawkman that will feature Hawkgirl, a Martian Manhunter, and then we get Justice League, and the rooster would be this team.
A lot of fans would get behind this team.

So that's my Superman DCU Fan Cast and Ideas.
Let me know what you think.
