Nightmare Before Christmas Review Celebrating 30 Years of this Classic Film.

Nightmare Before Christmas Review
To celebrate this classic 30th anniversary and seeing how it came out the year I was born.
Here's my review of it.
I love this film, and it's one of my favorite Halloween films to watch every October and December. It counts as a Christmas movie, too. This film has excellent stop-motion animation, and it has memorable songs like This is Halloween, which Marilyn Manson remade. Now, people have said this movie is overrated nowadays, but it isn't. It still holds up. There is also the debate if this is a Halloween film or a Christmas film.
The film focuses on Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King and King of Halloween Town. Voiced by Chris Sarandon, who I've met twice, and he's a cool guy. Also, Danny Elfman, the singing voice of Jack.

Jack does the same thing every year for Halloween and decides he wants to do something new for a change. He travels into the forest with his dog Zero, and he finds the Christmas tree door that sends him to Christmas Town. He loves everything Christmas is about and decides to take care of Christmas for Santa Claus this year because he wants to do something new. We also meet Sally, voiced by Catherine O'Hara, a Frankenstein monster who can sew herself apart. She's in love with Jack and wants to help him, but she has a vision that this will end badly for Jack. She's not wrong in the end.
All the monsters in Halloween Town are fun to look at and well-designed, and as they say, they are scary, but they're not mean.
The songs are memorable in this film, and the film's villain is excellent. Oogie is a scary villain, and all the bugs he has would make anyone's skin crawl.

The film has some excellent music scores and musical numbers like What's this? or Making Christmas. Also, I love Jack's What Have I Done, where he realizes he is the Pumpkin King and Halloween is his holiday. He saves Santa Claus and Sally from Oogie, who plans to kill them.
The film's ending was epic, and the song Jack's Back is a good end song.
In the end, Santa Claus brings Christmas to Halloween Town, showing there's no bad blood between Jack and Santa. Jack and Sally confess their love for each other and kiss.
I still enjoy it years later, and it still holds up 30 years later.
It's amazing how this film came out the same year I was born, and I'm 30 now.
I give Nightmare Before Christmas an
8 out of 10.
It's a great Halloween film and Christmas film.
Also, the director of the film said that he's interested in making a prequel film instead of a sequel film. It would be more fun to see a Jack Skellington Origin film.
Happy Halloween
to all my viewers.

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse Review

My Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse
Review.

I've been meaning to review this film for Halloween, and it's a favorite of mine that I watch every Halloween. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, and here's my review of it...I love this film. It came out in 2015, and I love watching it like it's a good horror comedy film. It's about three scout members named Ben, played by Tye Sheridan; Carter, played by Logan Miller; and Auggie, played by the late Joey Morgan. I just found out sadly that he passed away recently, back in 2021.
They have to survive a Zombie attack with the help of a stripper, well actually cocktail waitress named Denise, played by Sarah Dumont. She's one of the coolest characters in the film, and all the main characters are very likable and relatable when you were a teenager.
"You're the stripper!"
Reloads the gun.
"Cocktail Waitress."

They also need to save Carter's sister, Kendall Halston Sage, who did a raid but got the wrong address, and now they have to save her. This film has some funny moments, and it's the typical group of teenagers who see themselves as losers. Ben and Carter want to quit as scouts but don't hurt Auggie because it means so much to him. The film has your typical zombie action and scares as well. When you see the scouts go into action, it's cool how they use their weapons to fight the zombies.
Now, the film, as I mentioned, is your typical zombie comedy film. It's no Shaun of the Dead, but overall, it's a fun movie to watch for Halloween. That's all it needs to be a fun movie if you want to relax and watch something fun for Halloween.
Overall I enjoy this film and I give a 7 out of 10.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

In Memory of Joey Morgan.
He was one of the funniest actors in this film and he will be missed.

Once Upon A Studio Review

Once Upon A Studio Review.
So I watched the new Disney short Once Upon A Studio review, and this was a great short. It's so cool seeing all the Disney characters coming together just for a photo to celebrate 100 years of Disney, which started in 1923. They even use original recordings of the original actors of the old films, and they even use pre-recordings from Robin Williams. This short film was fun, and the ending was delightful. At the film's end, they thank their fans for years of enjoying entertainment. It's funny because many people don't like Disney right now, if you know what I'm talking about. Overall, I give this Once Upon A Studio a 10 out of 10. It's such a great short, and I hope we see more 2-D animation projects again and maybe even do crossovers with Disney characters. A project like this makes me feel nostalgic because I see all these characters I grew up with, and it makes me want to see more old fashion Disney films. That's how good this short is.

Seeing this photo just makes you feel nostalgic and makes you love Disney again.

My thoughts on Ultimate Marvel coming back and will it win readers back?

My thoughts on Ultimate Marvel coming back and will it win back readers?

It was announced at New York Comic Con on Saturday that the Ultimate Marvel is officially back, and a lot of fans are happy about this, but at the same time, comics are not doing so well, so this could be a good sign.

Now, Ultimate Marvel has its good stories and bad stories. Some of those storylines inspired some MCU films. Also, Ultimate Spider-Man was a huge success, very popular among fans for it was a new Spiderman for younger generation and Mark Millar's Ultimates 1 and 2 were fantastic and are considered classics.
However, Ultimate Marvel did have bad stories like one example, Spiderman and Wolverine switched bodies. In contrast, Spider-Man is 15 years old, and Wolverine is a grown man; Wolverine also tries to sleep with Mary Jane, who is 15. It's creepy, just creepy. No wonder nobody likes Ultimate Wolverine.
Don't even get me started on the Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch incest. That storyline was wrong and disturbing on so many levels. What was Jeph Loeb thinking?
However, this new Ultimate Universe will be a full-on reboot.

I haven't read Ultimate Invasion, but I've read spoilers about it. All I know is
Tony Stark's Father is Iron Man, and Tony in this universe is Iron Lad.
Also, Maker, the villain of the series, killed a Fantastic Four variant except for Reed, who made it into Dr. Doom. However, Reed and Tony plot to stop the Maker, and Reed calls himself Dr. Doom and Anti-Marker. He wants to avenge his family after Maker killed them.

So this new Tony Stark calls himself Iron Lad because he's not ready to be the new Iron Man until he proves himself. There is Reed Richards aka Dr. Doom/Anti Maker.
They defeat Maker and we're getting a whole Ultimate Universe.
Now the mini series ended with them meeting Ultimate Thor and Ultimate Captain America who was still frozen.
Now they have announced four new Ultimate Titles
Ultimate Universe, Ultimate Spiderman, Ultimate Black Panther, and Ultimate X-Men.

Now the new Ultimates Team rooster will be.
Captain America, Iron Lad/Tony Stark, Thor, Sif, and Reed Richards/Dr. Doom.
It's an exciting team rooster. I will admit I like it. It has five members, which works, and it's a weird team, but I like it for that. I would like to know who will join the Ultimates in later issues. Ultimate Cap, Iron Man, and Thor will take after the MCU counterparts, but I don't know; I must wait and see. Also, future members could be Spiderman, Black Panther, Wasp, Giant-Man, Wolverine, and Black Widow. We will have to wait and see who appears in future stories.
Also, we know Ultimate Iron Man's origin in this new universe. What will Cap and Thor's new origins be? How will they be written, and will fans like or dislike them?

The next relaunch is Ultimate Spider-Man this will be written by Jonathan Hickman I take him over Zeb Wells.
Now, Ultimate Spider-Man could be better than current Spider-Man. I want good Spider-Man stories, not ones where he's fighting Mary Jane.
It's also believed the series does not focus on Peter Parker. He may not be Spiderman. It could be someone like Miles Morales or someone unexpected like John Jameson, Harry Osborn, or Ben Reilly. However, it could be Peter Parker, but this will be a different version of the character, like he'll have a different origin. I hope he's an adult instead of a teenager.
Still, the idea of this being a different Spider-Man sounds interesting as long as it's an interesting character. So maybe I'll give this read because after Zeb Wells took over Spider-Man comics, he just killed my love for reading Spider-Man comics.
This comic will be the first issue that launches the New Ultimate Universe.

The next title is Ultimate Black Panther

Now, Ultimate Black Panther, the series will be inspired by Ryan Cooger's Black Panther films, which is a sign that Ultimate Marvel will have those MCU vibes. Black Panther has a cowl. I'm not too big on it, but as long as the character of T'Challa is written right, that's all that matters. The story is about Black Panther protecting his home from Moon Knight. Moon Knight will be the story's villain, and he's now Khonshu and Ra merged into one, so no Marc Spencer. They want to expand their control of Africa, and T'Challa has to stop them. It sounds like an exciting idea for a Black Panther story, and I would give it a read. T'Challa will not be a mute or mutant like he was in the original Ultimate universe.

The final series relaunch is Ultimate X-Men

Now, Ultimate X-Men reintroduce X-Men and mutants in this new Ultimate Universe. We will likely see Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean, Nightcrawler, Storm, Gambit, and many more. The series will focus on Hisako Ichiki, known as Armor. The first issue will focus on her discovering her powers, and we will no doubt meet the X-Men, who will meet with her and want her to come to Xavier Mansion to use her powers for good. The series will show what it means to be a mutant in this Ultimate Universe. It sounds like a fresh start to Ultimate X-Men. We'll see what it does.

That's my thoughts on the Ultimate Marvel Relaunch in 2024.
Now, will it make readers want to reread Marvel comics? It depends because Marvel could be better right now. After all, they keep hiring crappy writers, but from what I've seen from the writers they are hiring for this, I think it could be good. Comics are dying and need something to bring back their primary readers because I've already talked about how I feel about current comics. So, if this is good, maybe it will encourage mainstream Marvel comics to return to their old ways and focus on good stories, hiring storytellers, not agenda-driven writers, and just making the stories fun and escapist from the real world.
I'm happy Marvel is ending the Krakoa era because I hated how the X-Men were written, and I'm so glad Marvel is returning the characters to the X mansion.
I would love a recon on Marvel Comics. I wouldn't say I like how current writers make us not want to read any more comics because these current writers aren't good.
So, let's hope this wins back the audience. If it doesn't, well, comics are indeed dead. Look at the charts. Mangas are winning.
That's my thoughts on the Ultimate Marvel relaunch. Let me know what you think. Will it make you read Marvel again? We'll have to wait and see what Ultimate Spider-Man does in January 2024.

Castlevania: Nocturne Review

My Castlevania: Nocturne Review.

I watched Castlevania: Nocturne, and here's my review of it...It's not as good as the original series. This show had a different magic than the old one, and it wasn't as dark and gritty. Now, for the record, I only played the Super Nintendo game, which was so hard to beat I couldn't even get pass the first level. Still, many fans of this series have issues with Nocturne because, unlike the old show, it was less political and more story-driven, as well as great villains that were sympathetic and hateful. We saw great character development with our main characters. The first series still holds up today but this show well I can't be too hard on it because it's only it's first season. It could get better next season after all look at Wheel of Time season 2 was improvement of the first season except they still sideline Rand the protagonist of the series! Richter doesn't get sideline at least in the show.

I think many fans were hoping for something like this based on Rondo of Blood.
It's about him wanting revenge on Olrox for murdering his mother, but he must save his girlfriend Annette from an evil clan of humans serving an evil vampire queen. Who wants to sacrifice her to block out the sun for their Vampire Queen.
Richter goes on a quest to save Annette and stop the Vampire Queen. He's not doing it alone. He's got Marie, his adoptive little sister who has magical abilities, maybe a new character like Edouard, and of course Alucard. It would have sounded too similar to the first series because it was about three characters going to kill Dracula, and this series was about them saving someone whose blood can block out the sun. Also you could have Annette help her boyfriend by knowing some magic speaks to him through his dreams and helps him on quest.

Richter is a huge fan favorite in the Castlevania series. Some fans didn't like how he was written in the show or how this show was written in general, but I liked him and I didn't hate the show I think okay. I never played the games so I don't know how cool Richter is to fans and I don't know the entire lore of Castlevania. I still prefer Trevor over him because Trevor was cool and funny as well Richter does love drinking like him but he does have Sypha in him too. Of course, fans don't like this series because it's too political and changes to the first game Richter first appeared Rondo of Blood. I mean fine with them not having Dracula as the main villain of this show because I was happy with the ending he got in the final season.

This is only the first season, and maybe season 2 will be an improvement. My biggest issue with the show was that it changed its original writers and show runner.

This show was beginning of a good adaptations of video games series.

Warren Ellis wrote and created the first series. He did a great job, but as some of you know or don't know, he got metoo because there were allegations against him, so they weren't hiring him back. Still, Netflix at least decided to let him finish the final season, and season 4 was a fantastic ending to the first series. I understand why they had to let him go, but Nocturne could have gotten a better show runner because the show runner of Nocturne is Clive Bradley. In my opinion, he was not suitable for the job because he was adding a lot of agenda to the show. Not to mention, he is a socialist, too. They should have just got another passionate storyteller rather than someone who's very politically driven.

However, I will admit there were some good moments in the show and I did like some of the characters and the vampires were scary like this.
This scene actually scared me a bit.
I did enjoy some of the characters in this show. They are all likeable, which is good.
However, I still prefer the original characters Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard.

Also the action and animation is good too. I would say the villains are not as good as the last series villains but there are two that you will hate. Again, they could get better in later seasons.
The series is set during the French Revolution, and basically, it's about Richter, a descendant of Trevor and Sypha. He wants revenge on a vampire named Olrox for murdering his mom. He lives with a woman and her daughter Marie, who serves as a little sister in his life. We also meet Annette, his love interest from the games, but they also mades change to the character. She's not being held captive by Dracula and she knows magic powers. I'm not surprised you won't see Richter trying to save his girlfriend in this show because today's modern media doesn't like the damsel in distress troupe.
Also, the show is basically about them stopping a vampire queen from taking over the world, and some humans are now working with the vampires and such. I won't give too much away.
I find it funny how the vampire queen wants to block out the sun for some reason; I heard that song snuff out the Light in my head. Snuff out the Light was a song from Emperor's New Grove's original title, Kingdom of the Sun, and Yzma wanted to block out the sun. Look it up.
Overall, if you like this show, that's fine, but I don't hate it because there were some good moments in this show, but to me it's not as good as the first series in my opinion.
I give Nocturne a 6 out of 10.
For the first series, I give it a 9 out of 10.
Let me know what you think do you like Nocturne or do you prefer the original series?
Let me know and have a good day.

Spoiler here skip this part.
With a Spoiler!

They brought back Alucard and he's one of the best character in the series.
Let's hope Alucard will make season 2 better if not well we still have the masterpiece from berfore.
Let me know what you think.

Hocus Pocus 2 Review

Hocus Pocus 2 Review

So, I saw Hocus Pocus 2 last night, and here's my review of it...It's okay. This film is not as good as the first film, and I didn't like how this film didn't bring back the original kids like Max, Allison, and Dani. There's not even any mention of them or where they are. In fact, I hear one of the actors wanted to be part of it and wanted it to be about her and her kids facing off against the witches again. I would prefer that over what we have in this film. However, I hear there is a third film in the works, and the original actors want to return for the third film.

The film shows the origins of the witches, and we have three new characters named Becca, Izzy, and Cassie, played by Whiteny Peak, Belissa Escobedo, and Lillia Buckingham. Like the last characters, they bring back the witches by lighting the black candle. We see the witches in the modern day, and some funny moments are in the film. The film's characters are pretty good, and of course, the witches are the best thing in the whole movie. I have to say it's great seeing Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy back as the witches. The film's story is okay; overall, it's just a fun movie full of nostalgia bait. I prefer the first film over this one, and they are planning a third one. I would love to see the original cast from 1993 in this film and have a more exciting reunion and nostalgia bait.

I give Hocus Pocus 2 a 6 out of 10.
That's another Halloween Blog.

Hellboy Double Review

Hellboy Double Review

As some of you know, I love the Hellboy films from Del Toro, and they still hold up. Sadly, we never got a proper ending to Hellboy. Instead, we got a crappy reboot and a new film called The Crooked Man. Not sure how I feel about it, and it's getting made by a crappy studio called Ketchup Entertainment.

Ron Perlman said he would make another film for the fans.

So, I'm doing a double review of the first two Hellboy films for Halloween. Hellboy and Hellboy The Golden Army. So here's my review of these two classic films.

Hellboy

The first Hellboy film I have loved since childhood. I knew nothing about Hellboy until I saw this film in 2004. I watched it when I was a kid, and I just loved it after that. The movie explores Hellboy's origin and how he was founded by Professor Broom, and we see him face off against Rasputin, who wants him to use his rock hand to open the apocalypse for the seven gods of chaos. However, Professor Broom adopts Hellboy. He teaches him about honor and good because he wants him to be a good person and help protect the world. We are introduced to the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense or short-term BPRD. Hellboy lives there, but it's more like a prison because he can't go outside in public. After all, everyone would be scared of him. After all, he's an actual devil.
The film actually created an original character named John Meyers, played by Rupert Evans, who serves as a new character in this film.
Still, he's only in this film because, in the next movie, Rupert Evans could not return because of a busy schedule, so his character was transferred to the Arctic. Also, we have Liz, who has fire powers but loses control of them, and we have Abe, a water creature that can breathe underwater; his powers are telepathy and psychometry. The film's villains are Rasputin, Kroenen, and Lisa. The cast in this film all do a great job. Ron Perlman was born to play Hellboy, and Del Toro once said his voice was the voice of Hellboy. Selma Blair, she is excellent as Liz. Doug Jones played Abe but originally just as the character, and Abe was initially voiced by David Hyde Pierce before they changed it to Doug Jones. The late John Hurt played Trevor Broom, and he was great in the film and an actor. Jeffery Tambor plays Tom Manning, and he's funny in the movie.
This film had great action scenes, and the make-up in the movie is fantastic because it's Del Toro, for he knows how to make up look real. The comedy in the film is funny, too, and I like the Extended version because they show more stuff and scenes they had to cut to save time. I love the quote of what makes a man. That is something of a commercial.

I love this film; I give it an 8 out of 10.

Now it's Hellboy 2: The Golden Army.
Now the second film I love more than the first, like the second film, is the best Hellboy film out there. The movie blew everyone away because the makeup and effects were out of this world. This is one of my favorite Del Toro films because he knows how to do action and fantasy simultaneously. In the film, we have Hellboy just wanting to be accepted for who he is and not be locked up in BPRD, and he's having trouble with Liz as they are dating. Also, we are introduced to Johann Kraus, a poltergeist character played by Seth MacFarlane. he is one of the best characters in the film, and he's hilarious. Especially when he tries to stop Hellboy from saving a cat, but Hellboy loves cats and won't see one get eaten by a troll.
The film's main villain is an elf prince named Nuada who wants to take control of the Golden Army, an unkillable and unstoppable robot army. Hence, he needs to get a crown that can control them because his father gave half of it to the humans to make peace with them. Prince Nuada hates humans and feels they don't care about the earth. The film also has his sister Nuala, who wants to stop her brother, and we have a romance between her and Abe. I won't spoil how it ends, but if you've seen it, you know how sad it is. I also liked how Abe got more screen time in this film, unlike the last movie. This film had some great action scenes, and I love the scene when Hellboy is fighting a monster and protecting a baby. Also, the Troll marketplace was fantastic, and the makeup and designs were amazing. I also love the ending of this film because, in the end, Hellboy, Liz, Abe, and Crone quit the BPRD and go live their lives free from hiding because Hellboy and Liz are going to become parents. They want their kids to live in a home were they can play outside and not be locked up in a basement.
I even love the song I Can't Smile Without You as the end credits song.

I give this film a 9 out of 10.

This is the best Hellboy film, and sadly, we never got a Hellboy 3, but as you know, Del Toro was super busy with other projects. He now has three Oscars for Shape of Water and Pinocchio. Ron Perlman really wanted to make another one because he feels they owe to the fans, even if Ron is 73 years old. Let's face it, the reboot sucked, and I don't know if this new one called the Crooked Man will be good?
I either come out of this movie saying
it's good, or it makes the 2019 reboot look like The Godfather by comparison.

I would instead get a third film of this just to give Hellboy a good send-off. I want to see him and heads up, these are spoilers. In Hellboy 2, he learns he will become a father as Liz is pregnant and having twins. I would love to see Hellboy be a dad, and he has to face his real dad, Azzael, the Lord of Witches and Duke of Hell. We also could have met more members of the Hellboy family and friends, which could have led to some spin-off projects. I also think a Hellboy TV series would have been a better approach to reboot the character instead of a new movie.
So that's my Hellboy Double Review. Let me know what you think.
Happy HALLOWEEN!
There's more to come.

Luigi Mansion Movie Fan Cast and Ideas

Luigi's Mansion Fan Cast and Ideas.

After seeing the Mario Bros movie and with talks of a Luigi spin-off, what better spin-off than making a Luigi's Mansion movie. Since it's now October and I'm getting into the Halloween spirit, what better to express through Luigi's Mansion.
This poster hints that they will make a Luigi's Mansion film.
I love the Luigi's Mansion games, and I think this would be a great Halloween film to watch.

First, here is my fan cast for Luigi's Mansion.

Charlie Day as Luigi

Rowan Atkinson as Professor E. Gladd

Chris Pratt as Mario

Keegan Michael Key as Toad

Wagner Moura as King Boo

Seth MacFarlane as Neville

Julie Bowen as Lydia

E.g. Daily as Chauncey

Dave Franco and Alison Brie as The Dancing Couple

Steve Bushmi as The Butler

Elizabeth Olsen as Melody Pianissimo

Selma Hayek as Madame Clairvoya

Nicolas Cage as Bogmire

Jacob Tremblay as the Twins Henry and Orville

Miss Petunia as Miss Petunia

Imelda Staunton as Nana

Jordan Peele as Uncle Grimmly

Ken Jeong as Sir Weston

Rain Wilson as Vincent Van Gore

Alexandra Daario as Princess Daisy
Daisy appears in an end-credit scene where Luigi gets his new mansion and has a party. Peach brings her friend Daisy to meet Luigi, and the two hit off.

So that's my fan cast for a Luigi's Mansion film, and here are my ideas for it.

5. The film would have to cut some of the portrait ghosts.
Now the portrait ghosts played a significant role in the games, and they were once owned by Professor E Glad until King Boo set them free. For a movie, they would have to cut portrait ghosts time-wise. The portrait ghosts I kept, I feel, were more critical to the story. The rest were optional. So the ghosts I cast in the movie, including the dog and the big boo.

4. King Boo would be more terrifying than Bowser.
King Boo is the King of the Boos who love scaring people. King Boo would be a terrifying villain who captures Mario and puts him in a portrait, and he's also been enemies with Professor E Glad for a long time. King Boo would be Luigi's Bowser, but Luigi can only beat him with Poltergust 3000. King Boo, unlike Bowser, just wants to haunt houses and terrorizes people.

3. The film should be a funny horror family film and should be released in October for Halloween.

The film will likely be a scary, family-friendly movie, and I think they should release this film every October to get into the Halloween spirit.

2. This film is about Luigi saving Mario and facing his fears of ghosts.
The Mario film was about Mario trying to save his brother, but in this film, it's about Luigi trying to save Mario. Luigi has always looked up to Mario and has been his partner in plumbing, but this time, he's got to rescue his big brother. Even though he's terrified of ghosts, he won't give up till he saves his brother. The film would have Luigi stand out as his own character and him becoming a hero in his own right.

1. The next film would be Dark Moon leading up to Luigi's Mansion 3.
I would love this spin-off to get more films. The next movie is based on Dark Moon, and we meet Luigi's dog, Polterpup. It's funny because in the cinema, Luigi's scared of dogs, and in the next film, he gets a dog and gets over his fear of dogs.
As well, King Boo returns, and we see Luigi facing off against more ghosts and boos. Also, I would love to see Luigi's Mansion 3 happen because that's my favorite in the trilogy.
This would be a fun trilogy to watch and expand on the Mario universe.

So that's my Luigi's Mansion movie Fan Cast and Ideas.
Let me know what you think.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
BWAHAHAHAH.
