Unbroken Review

Unbroken Review

For Remembrance Day, I'm reviewing Unbroken, a great WW2 film about Louis Zamperini, an Olympic distance runner. Who was captured by the Japanese during World War 2 and where he was tortured and beaten at the war camps. Despite that, Louis remains unbroken and doesn't give up on himself. He keeps fighting, and even when he's offered to be let go for being an Olympic runner, he refuses to leave his friends and comrades. The film is directed by Angelina Jolie and stars Jack O'Connell, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock, Domhnall Gleeson, and Miyavi. The film has an inspiring story, and one scene I love is the planning scene, which is above you, and Bird, played by Miyavi, tells him to hold that plank or he will be shot. Louis is on the verge of dropping it but lifts it up despite the pain, which shocks and angers Bird. Despite all the torture and war crimes Bird committed, he could not break Louis's spirit. I love this film. It's a great war film, and I highly recommend it. I give this film an 8 out of 10

Lest We Forget.
