Scarlet Spider TV Series Fan Cast and Ideas Version Two.
I've previously shared Scarlet Spider fan casts and ideas, but since Sony is rebooting their Spider-Verse and Spider-Noir looks promising, here is a new idea for a Scarlet Spider show. This version focuses on Kaine Parker as Scarlet Spider, instead of Ben Reilly, because Ben Reilly is being featured as Spider-Noir.
Kaine is a clone of Peter Parker, but unlike Peter, he's not afraid to kill his enemies. He's basically the Wolverine of Spider-Men. So the show would be more hardcore, with blood, gore, swearing, and more. Additionally, it's been announced that we'll be getting more Spider-Variants after Spider-Noir.
First here is my fan cast for a Scarlet Spider show set in the Spider-Verse reboot.
Jace Norman as Kaine/Scarlet Spider
Now Kaine is the first clone of Spider-Man until he was scared by the Jackal. Now, since Spider-Noir is making Ben Reily Spider-Noir, he's not a clone of Peter Parker. Instead, he's basically Peter, but he's Peter if he grew up like Wolverine. He has no memories of his past after he made a deal with the Other. Later, he was captured by Spencer Smythe and experimented on, as he wanted to use his Spider DNA to create super soldiers he dubbed Spider-Slayers. Kaine escaped, killed Spencer, adopted the name Scarlet Spider, and became a superhero, trying to be a better person.
However, some of Kaine's past will come back to bite him as he has many enemies from the past.
Emma Fuhrmann as Annabella Adams
Annabella is Kaine's love interest and a bartender who hopes to become a rock star. She's one of the first friends Kaine and the two of them later fall in love, but Kaine fears he might lose the woman he loves once again until she betrayed him, but Annabella tells him she would never hurt him like that. She later learns that Kaine is Scarlet Spider, and she had a feeling that Kaine, like Scarlet Spider, acts all tough, and she even writes a song about the Scarlet Spider.
An unknown actress around thirteen to fifteen years as Marie Aracely Penable/Hummingbird
Marie is an orphan, and after Kaine saves her from Salamander, he takes her in, as she has no family and feels safe with him. Something Kaine relates to, and she even gave him the name Scarlet Spider. She basically becomes his little sister and forces Kaine to put money in the swear jar. She also has powers of telepathy and empathy, and later takes the name Hummingbird.
Douglas Booth as Sgt Wally Layton
Wally Layton is a sergeant at the Houston Police Department and is married to Donald Meland. Wally becomes one of Kaine's trusted allies and helps Kaine save innocent people. Wally and his Jacob both disagree on Scarlet Spider; it's like Robbie and Jonah Jameson with those two.
Haley Joel Osment as Dr. Donald Meland
Donald is a doctor and a surgeon, married to Sgt Wally, and, like his husband, he helps both Kaine and Marie. He also helps Kaine with his injuries and serves as a father figure to Marie.
Besty Brandt as Kelly Hill
Kelly is an original character who is the manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Houston. She doesn't like Kaine for being rude, despite him paying the rent on time; she also gives Annebella a hard time and tells her dreams of being a rockstar are a million-to-one shot. Kelly even tries to find dirt on Kaine and get rid of him. She also isn't sure Marie should live with Kaine as she finds him to be a bad guardian for her, but Marie wants to stay with Kaine as he's a good person to her, and Kaine tells her that if she gives him, Annebella or Marie a hard time again or tries to get him out of the hotel, he will show everyone her OnlyFans Page which she takes photo of herself in the hotel rooms of Four Seasons that could get her fired.
Sean Patrick Thomas as Captain Jacob Raven
Jacob Raven has a history with Kaine and has been hunting him for years, as he is responsible for the death of his partner, Louise Kennedy. Jacob serves as Kaine's Jonah Jameson, except he's hunting him down with the police. Jacob and Wally argue about Scarlet Spider, as he wants to bring him in. Later, Kaine confronts him, but Kaine saves him from Raptor's attack, and Jacob returns the favor to Kaine. Jacob learns the truth about Louise and how she was a corrupt cop. He would later become an ally to Scarlet Spider.
Ronny Chieng as Ken Ellis
Ken Ellis is a journalist at the newspaper researching the Scarlet Spider. He later helps Scarlet Spider in his battles and reveals that he knows Kaine's past, even who he was before the Other.
Lilly Van der Meer as Louise Kennedy
Louise Kennedy was Kaine's girlfriend from Salt Lake City, and she was a corrupt cop who worked for the Mafia at one point. She betrayed Kaine, and Kaine lashed out and killed her by mistake. Since then, Jacob Raven has made it his mission to take down Kaine and avenge her death, but is unaware of her past crimes.
Kevin Michael Richardson as Other/Spider-Totem
The Other is a Spider-God who blessed Kaine with his powers and speaks to him in his dreams. Before the Other brought Kaine back to life, he told him he would have to forget his past to be reborn, and Kaine accepted; thus, he gave him powers. At one point, when Kaine is killed by Demogoblin, the Other brings him back to life as Man-Spider. Eventually, Kaine remembers his past, and the Other is not happy about it, but in the end, he accepts it and tells him he will face more tragedy in the future that he can't erase.
Phil Dunster as Alistair Smythe/Spider-Slayer
Spider-Slayer would be the main villain of the series, so no Jackal. Alistair Smythe seeks to avenge his father's death, kill Kaine, and use his father's DNA to create the Spider-Slayers. Alistair would send assassins after Kaine, but when that failed, he took matters into his own hands, building a Spider-Slayer suit with Kaine's DNA taken after his fight with Demogoblin, and creating robots bent on killing Kaine. Spider-Slayer would go after Kaine's friends. Scarlet Spider would do battle against him to save his friends but it won't end happily though.
William Fichtner as Spencer Smythe
Spencer Smythe was a government scientist who developed weapons and sought to create soldiers with powers. He later met Kaine and lied to him, saying he wanted to help, but in truth, he wanted to use Kaine because Spider's powers fascinated him. He wanted to create soldiers like Kaine, but when Kaine later reveals his true intentions, he escapes. Before he does, he kills Spencer. His death results in his son Alister taking over and making it his mission to avenge his father.
Grim Hunter is Kraven's son. In this version, Alistair sends him to find Scarlet Spider and kill him. He would appear in the first season as one of the main big bads, and he would be a big challenge for Kaine.
Roberto Urbina as Salamander
Salamander was one of Kaine's first big foes, and so he would appear in the first episodes. He tries to kill Marie with her divine powers, but Kaine stops him and defeats him.
Ray Park as Harvester
Haverster is an assassin for hire by Alister to capture Kaine and he leads his squad to take down Kaine.Freddie Fox as Foxtrout
Foxtrout is part of the assassins to capture Kaine and is skilled gunsman however, he was badly scared by a foe of his.Emmanuel Imani as Smithy
Smithy is a merc who can teleport any gun to take down his foes.
Flower although she seems like no threat she's actually very dangerous as she has super strength and create smoke.
Alfie Allen as Jason Macendale/Demogoblin
Tom Payne as Raptor
Raptor, in this version, was an old friend of Kaine's, but he later grew and experimented with dinosaur DNA, thus giving him powers. He joins with Alistair to kill Kaine, as he blames Kaine for the death of his wife and son, as he didn't save them. However, from Kaine's side, he tried to stop him from injecting himself as he saw the danger of it. After he went insane, Kaine tried to save his wife and son, but he was too late. That event haunted Kaine for a long time and is one of the reasons he doesn't want to be too close to anyone. He would appear in season 2 as one of the main villains.
Jason Macendale is a mercenary who wants nothing but power, and he later meets a cult that grants him powers, only to be turned into a goblin. He calls himself Demogoblin. He would appear in season 3 as the main villain, and this season, we would see Kaine become Man-Spider to fight him.
Barrett Carnahan as Prodigy
The Slingers are a team of superheroes led by Prodigy. His suit gives him super strength, bulletproofing, super speed, and the ability to fly. Prodigy's real name is Richard Gilmore, who was a wrestler at the time and a recovering alcoholic. He and his team would meet Kaine, and at first, they offer him a spot, but Kaine says no because he's not a team player. However, the Slingers help Kaine do battle against the assassins and agree to be allies if Kaine ever needs help.
Jessie T. Usher as Hobie Brown/The Hornet
The Hornet, Hobie Brown, was a window cleaner but was a brilliant inventor, and he created a special suit and decided to use it at first to catch criminals as he wasn't making enough to support his siblings himself, but later had a change of heart when he met Richard, and he decided to become a superhero, calling himself the Hornet. Out of all the Slingers, Scarlet Spider respects Hornet the most as he sees him as a person he wished he had become before becoming Scarlet Spider. He does help save Kaine after he becomes Man-Spider by finding Annitoe to turn him back to being Kaine.
Sophia Laforteza as Cassie St. Commons/Dusk
Dusk was a college student who liked being different, as she was a goth. She was invited to join the team, but she didn't have powers until her death. She became the hero known as Dusk, neither living nor dead, but uses her powers to help people. Her powers include teleportation, darkforce manipulation that forms physical energy to fight with, and the ability to sense her team's location at all times.
She also has feelings towards Ricochet, but because of her powers, it's unlikely they can be together.
Ricohet has super agility, and a skilled marksman, Jonathan Gallo, joined the team, wanting to help protect the people and be the hero his mom always believed in.
So that's my Fan Cast and here are my Ideas for a Scarlet Spider tv series.
6. Kaine will get his powers through the Other.
Kaine would get his powers through the Other, and we would see him become Man-Spider. In his original, Kaine was bitten by a spider, not radioactive, but by the Other. The Other gave Kaine the choice to come back to life and gain the powers of a spider. Thus, he was reborn with spider powers. However, Kaine would transform into Man-Spider during his fight with Demogoblin and almost lose control.
5. Kaine's origin would be re-written and there is no clone saga arc or Jackal.
As I mentioned, this version is not a clone of Peter Parker. He's his own character who basically grew up on the streets, and his parents are dead, and he has no family. However, during a near-death experience, he was bitten by a spider that turned out to be the Other, the spider god. He gave him powers, but Kaine would not remember his past life, which he accepts, as he's got nothing good in his past. He at first used the powers to help with personal issues, but it backfired on him. He was then captured by Spencer Smythe, a renowned scientist, and his Alistair. Spencer claimed to be a friend, but he wasn't. He experimented on Kaine and wanted to use his powers to create personal soldiers, which he called Project: Spider-Slayers. However, Kaine escaped, stopped them, and killed Spencer. Alistair survived and now seeks to avenge his father's death, kill Kaine, and use his blood to create the Spider-Slayers. So Kaine's life is much worse than Peter Parker's, and he's basically the Wolverine.
4. The series is more gritty like a Tarantino film and is like John Wick.
Now, one thing that would make this Spider-Vairant stand out is that he is not afraid to kill his enemies or go hardcore. Like I would make the show a superhero version of a Tarantino with a mix of John Wick. The series has Kaine just taking out his foes and pulling any jokes as Spider-Man does.
3. The Slingers appear in the series as Sony's Fantastic 4.
The Slingers would appear in the show, but not until season 2, replacing the Rangers from the Scarlet Spider series. They are a team of superheroes who want to protect the innocent, but each one has gone through troubled times until they formed the Slingers. Kaine would meet the team and is offered a chance to join, but turns it down. However, they would help Kaine in future events, even help take down the assassins' guild hired by Alistair.
2. Scarlet Spider's Past is one of the show's biggest mysteries.
Now, in the show, since there is no clone stuff, one of the show's biggest mysteries is. As Kaine made a deal with the Other to get powers, he would forget his past, and by past, before he met certain people like Raptor, Louise, and the Smythes. Kaine has made many bad choices in his life, and he's been betrayed and lost. We would later learn by the last season of his past that his name was Kaine Parker, and his parents' names were Richard Parker and Mary Parker, and they were killed in a car accident. He lived in foster care for a long time until he ran away, and he died from a horrible beating, but was brought back to life.
1. Kaine is a character who is alone until he learns the value of family and friends.
One of the themes of the show is Kaine's search for a home, and he learns the value of having friends and family. Kaine never had a family that he cared for till he met Annabelle, Marie, Wally, and Donald, and those four showed him the importance of family and friends. However, like all Spider-Man related characters, they end in bittersweet.
So that's my Scarlet Spider TV Series Fan Cast and Ideas Version Two.
Let me know what you think, and let's hope Spider-Noir is good. Early reviews are saying it's good so far.
