My Flash Movie Fan Cast and Ideas

Now to be honest I'm not biggest Flash fan but I do like the character I grew up watching the character in the Justice League animated series even though it was Wally West and I watched all the animated films with Barry Allen. I don't watch the Flash tv series but I have friends who do and I'm doing this for them. I also think Grant Gustin does a solid job as Barry Allen from what I heard too. 

Now I know DC and WB are already making a Flash Movie with Erza Miller as Barry Allen/Flash, but I personally wasn't a fan of his Flash I didn't like it at all. I felt having Flash as the kid of the group its just ugh doesn't work for me thats all. Now I heard WB has announce that the director of IT part 1 and part 2 will be directing, if it happens but me personally like what they are doing with Batman I want them to reboot the character get him done right. Look I know Erza had a bad start as Flash if the film happens maybe they can reboot and write him better because Erza Miller is a good actor but to me he's not Flash, he would have been better for Robin or another character. Whatever happens, happens if they do the flash movie with him as the lead okay, but if they don't I really hope they get a blonde hair blue eye actor for the role. 

Moving on first here is my fan cast for a Flash Reboot.

Zac Efron as Barry Allen/The Flash 

If you've seen my Justice League Cast, Zac Efron is who I would cast as Flash because he's a good actor and he looks like Barry Allen. To me he is the one I would cast as that role he's got the right look and he wants to star in comic book film. As we know Barry Allen works The Central City Police Department as scientist in the lab crime. Barry's mother was murdered when he was kid and his father has been accused of the murder, and his mother's secret lover adopted him because he felt really awful on what he did. One of Barry's goals is to clear his father's name but also we all know his origin struck by lighting with some chemicals and thus he became the Flash. Now unlike the show or the comics Barry gets training from the original Flash Jay Garrick who passes the mantle of the Flash to him since he's too old.

Rose Leslie as Iris West

Again if you've seen my Justice League cast I casted Rose Leslie as Iris West and yes I went with a red head for the role. I'm just being more faithful to the comics and ps people my cast will have diversity we just need to give red heads more love. Now Iris is Barry's love interest and a journalist in the first film they have started dating and she's trying to help her brother Daniel who's becoming evil, second film she and Barry get married and she learns he's the flash, third film she finds out she's pregnant, meets her grandson from the future, and helps her husband take down Zoom.

KJ Apa as Wally West/Kid Flash/Flash

Yup I casted Riverdale star KJ Apa as Wally West and he looks the part, he's actually perfect for it and my idea Wally doesn't get his powers till the end of the first film, the second film he's Kid Flash, and third film he becomes Flash. I know I casted KJ in my Earth 2 movie cast but I think he would be better fit for Wally West but who knows what the future holds in store.

Mark Harmon as Jay Garrick/ The Original Flash

Now Jay would be in the film and he was the original Flash but he retired from  getting too old even though he can still run very fast for being an old man. Jay would be a mentor to Barry who trains him on how to use the speed force and passes the Flash mantle down to him and this Jay got his powers from the Speed Force unlike his original origin. Jay sees Barry as a son figure in his life because he lost a son in a horrible accident. Jay would be on all three films and he would be killed off in the third film saving Iris's life.

Nicholas Hamiltion as Bart Allen/Impulse

Now Bart Allen aka Impulse he wouldn't appear till the third film and when he does Barry and Iris are now married and he reveals he's their grandson from the future. Also Bart goes to the past because something changing the timeline and if you guess yes it involves Zoom. In the end of the third film Bart stays in the past to help the new Flash fight crime and even joins Young Justice.

Ethan William Childress as Wallace West/Kid Flash

Now Wallace is a new character and is son of Daniel West the third Reverse Flash. Wallace would appear in the end of the first film, revealing that Daniel West had a son and Iris's older brother Rudy and his wife adopt Wallace. By the third film Wallace gets his powers and becomes the new Kid Flash with Wally as his mentor. Wallace looks up to Barry and Rudy as a father figures and Wally as a big brother. There would be a running gag about how Wally and Wallace have the same name.

Ed Harris as Daryl Frye

Daryl Frye is a Captain Police Department in Central City. Daryl was having an affair with Barry's Mother Nora, which result in her death and Barry's father being accused of it. Daryl feeling a great amount of guilt adopted Barry as own son to make amends for he did and since then Barry has seen him as a father figure in his life. Daryl gets him a job working at police department as scientist for the police.

Nicholas Cage As Harry Allen

Harry Allen is Barry's father and currently in prison for the murder of Barry's mother. Now of course Barry believes his father is innocent of the crime and lets just say by the third film we find out who actually was Zoom. Barry is determined to clear his father's name even though many people believe him guilty of this act because his wife was having affair. Harry would be in all three films but he would die in the third film but his named would be clear in the end of the third film.

Karen Wheeler as Nora Allen

Nora was Barry's mother and she was murder when Barry was a kid its believed that Barry's father did this but Barry doesn't believe it at all. Nora would only appear in a flashback in the first film and would have a small role in the third film.

 Lil Rel Howery as James Forret

James Forest is a Forensic DNA specialist at Central City Police Department. James and Barry are friends who work together and hang out after a long day of work.

Gael Garcia Bernal as David Singh

David Singh is the Lab Director of Central City Police department. He's a friend of Barry but also Barry's supervisor as well.

Addison Timlin as Patty Spvoit

Patty works with Barry at Central Police Department Labs as a blood expert. Barry and Patty dated at one point before Iris until they broke up but remained good friends. 

Toks Olagundoye as Rebecca

Dr. Rebecca Janus is a therapist that works Central Police Department to help the police if they ever face a horrific crime.

Annalise Basso as Kristen Krammer

 Kristen Krammer is an intern at the crime lab of Central Police Department.


Annie Potts as Joan Garrick

Joan Williams Garrick is Jay's wife. When Jay retired he promised Joan he would never be the Flash again until Barry came along. She's fine with him becoming a mentor to Barry but doesn't want him fighting crime again since he's too old now. At one point Jay and Joan wanted to have children but they found out they couldn't have kids biologically, so they adopted a son who was sadly killed in accident. Eventually both Jay and Joan would learn that their son had a daughter named Jesse aka Jesse Quick.

Lana Condor as Linda Park

Linda Park is Wally West's love interest in the first film she and Wally are in high school, second film she's getting job as news reporter, and third film she has that job and Wally and her are now in relationship.

Natalie Alyn Lind as Jesse Chambers/Jesse Quick

Jesse Quick is another character with the power of the Speed Force, in this version it's revealed that she is daughter of Jay and Joan's adopted son who was killed in car accident. She would be in the second film and third film.

Happy Anderson as Rudy West 

He is Wally's father and Iris and Daniel's older brother.

Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Mary West

Mary West is Wally's mother and Iris's sister in law.

Cameos 

Taylor Kitsch as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern

Hal Jordan would make cameo in the second film just hanging out with Barry because him and Barry are best buds. There would be scene where Wally puts on Hal's Ring because Kid Lantern but just for a minute though.

David Giutoli as Clark Kent/Superman

Superman would have cameo in the first film and we would see a race between him and Flash at the end of the first film.

Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Batman would make a cameo in the third film just in the end because while Barry travel through the multiverse he went to the Flashpoint universe and lets just say he Thomas Wayne. You know where this is going he gets a letter from Thomas to give to Bruce and yeah you know where it's going.

Jon Hamm as Thomas Wayne/Batman

Thomas Wayne aka Flashpoint Batman would appear in the third film but only Barry enters the Flashpoint Reality. He would only help Barry back to reality and it would end with giving a letter to his son Bruce who is alive in Thomas's universe Bruce is dead along with his wife Martha Wayne.

FLASH VILLAINS

Caleb Landry as Daniel West/Negative Flash

Now Daniel West is Iris's little brother, he was blamed by their father for killing his mother after giving birth to him. He pushed his father down the stairs killing him out of anger for all the hate he got from him even though his brother and sister defended him against their father. Daniel ran away become a criminal of some sorts Iris has been trying to reach out and help him but her brother Rudy doesn't want any help. Now Daniel like the comics becomes the Reverse Flash in the New 52 but instead in this version he is called Negative Flash and like Barry he gets powers from the opposite of the Speed Force which is called the Negative Force. Negative Flash would be the main villain in the first film and in the end of film we would learn that he has a son named Wallace. Rudy West and Mary West adopt Wallace because Rudy and Iris couldn't save Daniel but they can at least give his son a better life.

Mike Vogel as Captain Cold

Now Captain Cold is a fan favourite Flash villain and he would be the leader of the Rogues and his goal is to take down Flash. The Rogues have a moral code they don't harm women or children, nor they do accept actual psychopaths on their team, no does drugs, and they don't kill any heroes they just beat them and thats it. They are all dedicated to taking down the Flash and the Flash only. One thing they love doing is robbing as many banks as possible.

Ben Foster as Heatwave

Heatwave is Captain Cold's best friend and they both want take out the Flash. Heatwave is the tough guy of the group and he won't stop till he sees the Flash burn to a crisp not literally just figure of speech.

Abbie Cornish as Glider   

Glider is Captain Cold's sister and is a member of the Rogues. She's also in a relationship with Mirror Master. Both her and her brother both desire to see the Flash defeated and Central City not having a hero anymore. She is also second command of the Rogues and tells them she would kill one of them if they harmed a child.

Will Brill as Mirror Master

 Mirror Master is a member of the Rogues and is in a relationship with Glider.

Diego Luna as Weather Wizard

WeatherWizard is member of the Rogues and have magic powers to control the weather.

Dave Franco as Trickster

Trickster is a member of the Rogues and he often plays jokes on his fellow member which annoys them but annoys the Flash more.

Keith David as Gorilla Grodd

Gorilla Grodd would be the main villain of the second film. In the second film his goal is to have his ape kingdom take over the world and make the humans slaves. Grodd takes control of the Rogues and uses them to go after Flash threatens them and some of their family members if they don't kill the Flash.

Antony Starr as Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom.

Reverse Flash aka Eobard Thawne would be the main villain in the third film. It would also revealed like the TV show and comics he was one who killed Barry's mother. Now this Eobard Thawne is more like the comic book version he was a huge fan of the Flash, he idolized him, worshipped him, and he even had his face change to look like him. Now when uses the Cosmic Treadmill to travel back in time his to meet his idol, however he's in the further future were the Flash Museum is builded because in the third film they are still building the Flash Museum. He's in further future of that timeline and lets just say Barry Allen's dead. Eobard goes to museum and he sees of heroic deeds of Flash and his villains. He gets to his greatest enemy known as the Reverse Flash and they have his name implanted on box and it says Reverse Flash Eobard Thawne, 30th century. Thawne has a mental break down knowing he's going to be the Flash's biggest enemy and he goes crazy, at first he tries to prevent it but it back fires and he embraces who he is and now he is determined to kill Barry Allen and The Flash Legacy. Also Antony Starr watch the Boys he's so good in that show like his character is so hateable and I got those Reverse Flash vibes from him. Also I've met Tom Cavanagh he does a really good Reverse Flash on the TV show and he's really nice guy we both agree BVS was crap.

Now here are my ideas for a Flash film.

8. Either re tell the origin or already have Barry Allen established as Flash.

Now we all know the Flash's origin from comics to tv adaptions now we wonder do we really need to re tell the origin? I mean right now DC is writing Flash Year One so they could tell his origin maybe something new like Year One or they could simply have Barry already established as Flash. It can work either away just as long as the story is good. But I would say if you re tell the origin like maybe have Barry be trained by Jay Garrick and the picture up top is his first costume in Year One and in the middle of the film he gets his costume. Now if The Flash picks up after when Justice League ended like Aquaman please just make it a better a story thats all. 

7. Make it a light hearted, fun, action film. Take inspiration from Shazam and Spiderman films.

Now Flash like certain other heroes doesn't need to be dark and gritty. Flash needs to be light hearted and fun for everyone to watch. For Flash I would look at Shazam and some Spiderman movies for inspiration on how to make the film. Flash needs to be exciting and fun but still have intense moments and like the third film would be dark but it wouldn't be Dark Knight level dark. The movie needs to be a fun movie and someway like the TV show.


6. Make the Rogues a type of villains you would never expect to see in a superhero film.

Now Flash's enemies are not like any other villains like they actually have a moral code. They don't harm innocents, they don't kill heroes, and they don't do drugs. That's one thing that would shock people these villains aren't that evil they just want to rob banks and they don't want to take over the city or world. Also in the second film Flash's enemies like Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, and Glider are already established theres no need to re tell their origins on how they became villains. This team is already established and their goal is just to rob banks and they are dedicated to taking down Flash. They don't want to kill him but they want him gone or crippled. In the second film they are be force Gorilla Grodd to kill Flash and take over Central City and I could see Flash teaming up with them to stop Gorilla Grodd and it would just be an unexpected twist.  Now does it mean the Rogues become good guys in the end? nah they are still villains no matter what.


5. Build up The Flash Family and have the films be about Barry and Iris.

Now like the Bat family and Superman family, Flash has one too. For the Flash movies I think we need to have Kid Flash, Impulse, Jay Garrick, and Jesse Quick we got to see the Flash family on the big screen we got it on TV we need to see it on the big screen. The films also should focus on Barry and Iris's relationship they struggles they have faced with their family, being honest with each other, and always facing whatever comes their way.

4. Give us the Eobard Thawne from the comics and make him represent the obsessed fan.

Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash is Flash's biggest enemy and his biggest fan too. We know there are fans in this world who so obsessed with certain things like movies, tv shows, comics, actors, directors, or whatever. In the third film we see that Eobard idolizing Barry Allen just wanting to be like him and meet him and sadly he learned that he was meant to be biggest enemy he didn't want it but its fate. Also like the comics and show it turns out Zoom was pulling the strings behinds the events of the first film he made Daniel the Negative Flash and he was the one killed Barry's mother because he wanted to set up Barry to become Flash so he can kill him properly. In the third film his in tire arc is to kill Barry Allen as well the rest of his family and destroy the Flash Legacy and by that he starts using the Negative Speed Force to help him change the timeline or messing up realties. Eobard shows how crazy some fans can be when the meet their idol and doesn't go as planned. 

3. Give us red head representation, we all want red head Wally West.

I just had to write this because if you've notice a lot of red head characters are getting their race changed for the sake diversity when there are so many characters they could use instead. Also they could just create an original character too if they want to include more diversity. Now a lot of Flash fans really want a red head actor to play Wally West and I agree 100 percent like I still include Wallace West because he is a great character I've read the Teen Titans comics and he's popular with fans. Still for the movies they should have the West family as red heads because come on even the red head community needs representation too. 

2. Heres what the titles I would give to these films if they happen.

Now I would call the first film The Flash simple just that, now for the next film I would call The Flash and The Rogues, and third film I would call it Flashpoint. The first film I would make it an origin story for the character and how he becomes Flash and learning about the Speed Force. The second film is him dealing with Gorilla Crodd and the Rogues, he's also dealing with if its okay for him to have Wally as his sidekick, also his personal life because he wonders how Iris would handle the truth knowing he's Flash and he's having her nephew help him stop crime. Not mention, he's planing to propose to Iris. The third film is about Barry becoming a father because Iris is pregnant, Barry wonders if he can go back in time and save his mom from being killed, as well what type of legacy will he leave behind. We also Barry face a very powerful enemy and the whole Flash family coming together to stop Reverse Flash. 

1. The third film would be Flashpoint mixed with the Return of Barry Allen.

Now Flashpoint is the only Flash storyline I read because it also rebooted the DC universe. Now there were talks from WB that the Flash movie would be Flashpoint and it would reboot the DC Expand universe erasing the crap we got in 2016 and 2017 except for Wonder Woman. Now it is likely DC might do this or not because it's possible the Flash movie will just be about something else. In the third film I would have it focus on time travel and the multiverse. Barry would see a different timelines were his mother is alive but the world is in total shit. Now in the film would end with them defeating Zoom but Jay Garrick gets killed saving Iris from Reverse Flash. Now Barry does see a timeline were he kills Zoom for killing his wife but he can't bring himself to kill Zoom, so instead he sends Zoom back to his own timeline. In the end Barry decides to take a long break as Flash to be father and husband, Wally West becomes the new Flash with Wallace West as the new Kid Flash, Jesse Quick becomes a member of the reformed Justice Society of America, and Bart remains in the past as Impulse to help protect Central City with Wally as well becoming member of Young Justice.
