What the Harry Potter tv series could be about.

I'm making this for the 20th anniversary of The Sorcerer's Stone.

Now if you heard or haven't there is going to be a Harry Potter TV Series now it is unknown if it's a reboot of the series in tv form or it's a prequel show or it's an original series expanding on the Wizarding World. 

There many ideas on what this show might be about I know a majority of fans don't want it to be a remake of the films but it's possible. I mean Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton both said they do predict the series will reboot eventually. Something I know many fans don't want because the movies are now classics and part of our childhood. It's like seeing a Lord of the Rings Reboot that nobody wanted to see thankfully the Lord of the Rings show is a prequel series. 

So here are my predictions on what the show will be about whether it's a prequel/spin off series, an original series, or a....remake. 

3. Prequel or Spin off Series focusing on Harry's parents as teenagers basically The Mauraders show or a show focusing the Four Founders of Hogwarts and how Hogwarts was founded.  

The Marauders

Now if the show is a prequel series its possible and it would be interesting to do that. Like a spin off show about Harry's parents when they were teenagers basically telling the story of the Mauraders and the trouble they got into at Hogwarts. It would also would have a younger Snape and how he met Lilly and how he grew to hate James, and learning about how Harry's parents met and fell in love. But it would feel like a high school drama like you see on CW though with magic though. However, it would be interesting to learn about who Harry's parents were as teenagers and seeing them grow up. 

The Four Founders.

Now this idea might more interesting to a lot of people like this basically tell us how Hogwarts got started and we learn who the Four Founders were, what drove Salazar to hate muggle born wizards and witches, how did the founders came up with the idea of Hogwarts, and show the early years of Wizarding world and maybe magic folk were at war with muggles during those early beginnings. Something like that would be a very interesting show like how did Hogwarts get started and what were the early days of the Wizarding world like back in the dark ages. 

Now there is the idea of a spin off series focusing on something unexpected. 

This is a goofy idea but what if the series is a spin-off on the Knight Bus basically its a comedy about the knight bus picking up random wizards and witches and each of them tell their tale about their everyday lives or the Knight Bus is about the people on it and they go on crazy adventures. I mean a Knight Bus tv series would be better as an animated series for kids, not a live-action show. That could be a second tv show that's for kids and a Knight Bus animated series would be fitting. It could be like Gravity Falls and maybe this could get a new younger generation to get into Harry Potter. 

 

There is also the idea the series could be about Quidditch focusing on a team of Quidditch players trying to win the World Cup like something out of Ted Lasso meets Friday Night Lights for a Harry Potter TV show. 

2. An original series expanding on the Wizard World maybe get a POV from a Ravenclaw or A Slytherin. 

Now there is the idea the series might an original series that focus on new characters and new places. Like I think it would be really cool to see the Asian World of Harry Potter, more of the Wizarding world in different parts of Europe, maybe Canada, Africa, and the Middle East. They need to further expand on the universe of Harry Potter instead of just rebooting it in my opinion. 

Like say what you will about Fantastic Beasts but at least the movie is showing us the American Wizarding World and maybe they could expand on the world even further with this show. 

Harry Potter was from a Gryffindor's Point of View and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is from a Hufflepuff's point of view. I think we need to see a Ravenclaw's point of view or a Slytherin's point of view for this show. 

These are only three of many places in the Wizarding World we haven't seen yet. 

We need to see these other wizard schools on a show and let's see how they teach magic at their schools. How different is it from Hogwarts's teachings of witchcraft and wizardry. This would be something more fans would want to see expansion of the Wizarding World.

As well for the main character maybe that main character is on a mission besides going to another country. 

The Ravenclaw character goes to Asia not just to study their style of magic but she's on a mission too. Her mission is to find a a small group of death eaters who want to bring back Voldemort through a dark ancient ritual. She has to stop them from doing that and she learns about how magic is done in Asia. 

The Slytherin character is on a quest to redeem his family and wants to show the world that not all Slytherin's are bad because of Voldemort. As well he learns some lost history about the founders and maybe we learn he's a Black maybe Sirus had a secret love child or something.

Just some ideas of what they could do if they just wanted to expand on the Harry Potter Universe with original ideas.  

1. This could be a remake of the series. 

Theres also the idea of this is going to be a remake of the films but in television form. Now the films had to cut certain plot and characters for pacing. So it's possible the tv show might just be a remake but they will include things the films didn't have. I mean its possible I mean some fans might say that would be cool seeing stuff we didn't get to see in the films but hey a tv show could explore more of that. Like that's why we get more tv series adaptions of fantasy books like Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and Wheel of Time because show can do episodes that expand on that.  

I mean I know the cast in the films are irreplaceable believe me I wouldn't want to see a remake I rather they make another prequel series or something original. However, like I mentioned Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton both said that WB will eventually reboot Harry Potter but their co star Bonnie Wright is against the idea of a reboot and I do agree with her. Its like remaking Lord of the Rings that doesn't need a remake because we got the upcoming tv show of Lord of the Rings that is a prequel based on the Silmarillion which many fans prefer over a remake. 

So in truth we don't need a reboot or a remake of the series let's just focus on expanding on the universe of Harry Potter. However, it really depends of HBO Max and WB want to do with the franchise. 

So those are my thoughts on what this Harry Potter TV series will be about. I mean I'm down for a Harry Potter tv series just don't remake the series focus on expanding the universe or write a good prequel. Those are my thoughts on this upcoming show what do you think?
