My thoughts on the Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer.
Seeing Atlantis and Namor was really cool, but the one thing I didn't like was this trailer confirms T'Challa is dead. The trailer also shows us the new Black Panther, who will likely be Shuri. Unless it's Kilmonger, I mean, it's possible, or it's an original character.
If people go see the movie and love it, that's fine, it could be a great film, and the reception from the trailer is excellent and emotional at the same time. Some fans will be disappointed with the film's decision to kill T'Challa off because it doesn't feel right because there are more stories to tell about T'Challa. Again there is the possibility Marvel might bring back T'Challa in the third film or Secret Wars with a variant of T'Challa.

Who knows who the new Black Panther is, but I still wish it was T'Challa. I don't have a problem with Shuri becoming Black Panther. It happened in the comics, and in my old Black Panther 2 and 3 Fan Cast and Ideas, I would have had her become a Black Panther, and she becomes queen of Wakanda while T'Challa goes to America and becomes a New Avenger. I wouldn't have a problem with Kilmonger if he comes back to life or someone else takes up the mantle, but I still feel like they should have continued T'Challa's story.
They changed Namor in the film, and it's a wait-and-see what they do with the character. It's about time this character made his screen debut. I just wish he was going to fight T'Challa, and I hope they stay true to his character in the film.
Atlantis looks pretty cool, too, in the film.
Also, the trailer is very emotional, dealing with the death of T'Challa, and we see the funeral of T'Challa. It made me sad, and no doubt I will shed tears for the funeral scene in the film.

As well, I can tell making this film was emotional for the whole cast and crew as well Angela Bassett's dialogue she gives in the trailer is powerful and full of emotion. That is some of the best acting I've seen this year. Not to mention, the action looks very cool, and the visuals and cinematography look amazing. Plus, the music in the trailer was so good.
Some fans hope this film is set during the blimp, but I don't think it will be. I believe it is set after Endgame. I'm getting those vibes from the trailer, and I don't like the idea of killing off T'Challa. There are so many more stories to tell with this character.
We wanted to see this character fight Namor, and Dr. Doom, become King of the Dead, Marry Storm, Lead the New Avengers, See what type of King he would be, and get a great send-off like RDJ and Chris Evans did.
Now I know Marvel and Ryan Coogler are doing what they think is best for the character and to honor Chadwick, but I don't think killing his character is the right way to honor him.
Most fans now want a recast of the role, and even Chadwick's brother Derek Boseman has said he would have wanted the role of T'Challa recast. I agree with him. It doesn't feel right to kill the character that Chadwick worked hard to bring to the big screen.
I know this film will pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman and the tribute to Chadwick in the trailer was beautiful. I loved the painting in the trailer. However, I don't think killing off T'Challa is the best way to honor Chadwick.

This is a beautiful tribute to Chadwick Boseman, and I understand why this film will be very emotional for many people. Chadwick Boseman was my first choice for Black Panther, but I feel that the character must live on because Chadwick wanted people to see the character, not him, in the role he played.
I prefer they recast T'Challa not in this film but in a future film like Black Panther 3.
I love this character I just feel like there are more stories to tell, and they shouldn't go to waste.
Instead, they could have made the Wakanda series first for more world-building and then come out with Black Panther 2 with a new actor set to play T'Challa. Now the movie will make a lot of money at the box office, and I will see it when it comes out. I'm sure it will be good, and very emotional at the same time.
I do think this film will do a great job honoring Chadwick Boseman.
They might bring back T'Challa in Black Panther 3. It may depend on how this movie does. Now, if you prefer they recast the role, that's fine, or if you're fine with Marvel focusing on a new lead, that's okay too.
Both sides of the argument over T'Challa's fate in the MCU just want what they feel is best to honor Chadwick Boseman and the character of T'Challa/Black Panther.
So that's my thoughts on Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer.
Let me know what you think and what did you think of the trailer? And do you think Marvel Studios should recast the role of T'Challa in Black Panther 3?
