Part Two of How I would Reboot the MCU's Spider-Man Story.
Now in Phase 4, Spidey would become a member of the New Avengers, a second Avengers team led by Luke Cage. The team would face off against Agameto and emerge victorious.
We see Spider-Man enjoying himself at the Avengers Mansion, and during the movie, he, The Thing, and Wolverine fight off a group of monsters led by Agamotto. He's also happy to see Daredevil and Iron Fist on the team.
Now, in the next Spider-Man film, Peter faces off against a new goblin called the Hobgoblin. At first, Peter thinks the Hobgoblin is Harry, but it isn't, as he was there when the Hobgoblin attacked a charity event held by FEAST, hosted by Martin Li, who is Mister Negative. Peter is also planning to propose to Mary Jane, but is trying to find the right moment; he is also afraid that she will say no, and wonders if this would ruin their relationship, as they have been dating for two years now. However, remember Jesscia's advice about proposing.
Additionally, Miles Morales would make his big-screen debut as he volunteers at FEAST with Aunt May to earn volunteer hours. He befriends Peter Parker, and his origin is remarkably similar. He won't become Spider-Man yet, but we will see the setup.
Now, while this is happening, Harry and Liz Allen welcome their first child, a boy named Normie Osborn, named after his grandfather. Peter and Mary Jane are named godparents for Normie. Both of them are excited to be godparents and promise to look after Normie.
Now Harry is still taking pills, which worries Peter, Liz, and everyone else who wants to help Harry. Due to the pills, Harry starts seeing his father, Norman Osborn, encouraging him to avenge him and kill Peter, as he will kill him and his family next.
Additionally, this film introduces Miles Warren, a genetic scientist at Oscorp, who has also been assisting Harry with a project. This film sets the stage for the Jackal, leading up to one of the most infamous Spider-Man stories, until One More Day, and Zeb Wells' misguided decision that gave us Paul.
Harry, like Spider-Man, wants to know who this Hobgoblin is and how he got his father's equipment. So Harry decides to hunt down both the Hobgoblin and Spider-Man. He injects himself with G serum and goes crazy, and vows to avenge his father and protect his family.
Harry would wear his own Green Goblin suit, and it would be based on the Ultimate design.
Now the film introduces Roderick Kingsley. Roderick is a fashion designer and is working on a movie in which Mary Jane is also involved. Peter meets Roderick, but he knows his history, having previously worked with the mob.
The film introduces Felice Hardy, also known as Black Cat, a thief with a crush on Spider-Man, and she harbors a grudge against a mobster who had her father thrown in jail. When Spidey meets Black Cat, he finds her attractive, but he ignores those feelings. Black Cat is a thief who steals only from people who deserve it, as her father was known as the Cat Burglar, and she has decided to continue his work while also seeking to clear his name. However, there's a big twist: Spider-Man learns that her father is Walter Hardy, the man who killed his uncle. I know Spectacular Spider-Man did this storyline, and sadly, we didn't see it expanded after it got cancelled after two seasons, but I wanted it to be explored. In this film, Black Cat's dad is the one who killed Uncle Ben. Peter hates him, and Walter understands, as he feels great shame in killing Ben. Spider-Man tells Black Cat he won't help her father, as he took away someone important, which makes Black Cat angry with him. However, later, Peter takes off his mask and reveals who he is. Black Cat is shocked and understands, but tells him her father regrets it every day, and the one who threatens to blackmail deserves more of the blame, as this person has a habit of framing people for his crimes. Spider-Man wonders that, but still can't forgive Walter for what he did.
In the film, Ned Leeds plays a significant role, helping Spider-Man discover who the Hobgoblin is. However, Ned and Betty are having a baby together, but Ned is determined to find out who the Hobgoblin is, as the Hobgoblin had almost killed Betty at the FEAST event. Spider-Man tells Ned that he needs to let him know what he finds out about the Hobgoblin, and he'll deal with him. Ned understands and will let him know; he has also learned that Hobgoblin's base might be an old building outside of Manhattan.
As Spider-Man swings through New York, he is attacked by the new Green Goblin, and he realizes it's Harry. Harry tells him he will kill him for murdering his father, and knows it's Peter. The two of them fight with Peter trying to reason with Harry, but he won't listen. It isn't until the Hobgoblin shows up.
Spider-Man battles both goblins, but at the same time, the goblins want to kill each other. Hobgoblin mocks the New Green Goblin, and the new Green Goblin wants to kill him and Spider-Man. During the fight, Peter saves Harry from a pumpkin bomb, but Harry returns the favour by trying to stab him. Hobgoblin sees it as an opportunity to leave; he leaves the fight, tells them he will see them soon.
Both Peter and Harry fight until Peter gains the upper hand, so Harry escapes and tells Peter that he won't stop until Peter is dead, and this fake goblin is dead too. Spider-Man tries again to convince him he didn't kill his father, but Harry doesn't care.
Spider-Man returns home to check on Mary Jane and tells her about Harry. Peter originally planned to take her out for dinner and ask her the question, but it wasn't the right time. Mary Jane tells him that he has to save Harry, and he knows that, but Peter doesn't know what to do and wonders if he should call the Avengers for help because Harry had injected the G-Serum into him; he's gone crazy, just like his father. Mary Jane grabs the phone and calls Liz to see how she's doing, and she reveals she's fine, along with Normie.
All of a sudden, Peter looks at his phone and notices a call from Betty. He answers the call, and she tells him she hasn't heard from Ned, and Ned has been missing for a couple of hours. Peter realizes Ned was investigating a building where Hobgoblin had been spotted. Peter heads to the building, and when he gets there, he finds Ned Leeds dead.
Ned is found dead but also he's wearing the Hobgoblin suit.
When word of this gets out, it's revealed that Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin. Which explains why he wasn't at the festival in Manhattan. Betty is heartbroken over the death of her husband but even more heartbroken to learn he was the Hobgoblin everyone at the Bugle is shocked and sadden by Ned's death. It's revealed that Ned was killed by a group of mobsters. However, despite Peter being sad about Ned's death a part of him thinks he wasn't the Hobgoblin as does Betty. Peter then returns to the crime scene and uses a spider bot to examine Ned's blood on the ground, and he realizes that Ned couldn't have been the Hobgoblin, as he had no G Serum in him. Peter then finds what appears to be a Ned's tape recorder, and Peter listens to it; Ned's final words reveal who the Hobgoblin actually is.
Spider-Man then meets with Black Cat, who's still bitter towards him after what happened with her dad. Spider-Man tells her he knows who framed her dead, and he also framed Peter's friend Ned. Both of them team up to take down the Hobgoblin and the new Green Goblin. Peter then calls Mary Jane and asks her about a friend of hers and where he lives. Spider-Man and Black Cat arrive, and there they see the Hobgoblin alive and well. Spider-Man fights him along with Black Cat, and they learn who the real Hobgoblin is.
Roderick then hits them with a flash bomb, trapping them both. Roderick then explains how he got the goblin suit and equipment. He reveals that he worked with Osborn in secret, helping him acquire more weapons. After Norman's death, he found his goblin equipment but decided to do his own thing with the suit and injected himself with the G-Serum. Black Cat realizes that he was the one blackmailing her dad, and Roderick reveals that's one of his talents: blackmailing and framing others. He blackmail Walter as the Cat Burglar and he even says he's grateful that he shot Ben Parker because it saved him the trouble. This, of course, angers Peter, and he asks about Ned. He reveals he framed Ned as Ned had learned he was the real Hobgoblin and had plan to expose his secret. So Roderick captured Ned drugged him made him the Hobgoblin and then had him killed by his mobsters buddies. After this reveal Hobgoblin than plans to kill them and later the new Green Goblin comes in. Just before he can kill them, the New Green Goblin crashes through the wall, but before he can attack them, the Hobgoblin goes into a room, and he grabs a son. Roderick knew Harry was the new Green Goblin, and so he kidnapped Normie. As earlier Mary Jane gets a call from Liz who tells her that Normie is missing. Harry becomes enraged, seeing his son, and tries to save him until the Hobgoblin flies away with Normie. Spider-Man tells Harry to free them, and they can save Normie, but Harry refuses, as he believes he can save his son. Black Cat, however, frees them, and the two of them follow Harry.
The battle to save Normie begins as Hobgoblin places Normie on top of the building. Both goblins fight.
As Spider-Man and Black Cat arrive at a construction site, the two goblins are already fighting. Spider-Man sees the fight and tells Black Cat to find Normie. She agrees, but tells her to leave some Hobgoblin for her to beat up. Spider-Man fights both goblins. Peter tries again to reason with Harry and tells him that he wants to save Normie, as he promised Harry he would take care of Normie. Black Cat manages to get to Normie and rescue him, but Hobgoblin sees this and tries to kill her. She drops Normie as he falls. Peter saves him, and Harry sees this. As Normie cries, Peter takes off his mask, and Normie stops crying, being happy to see Peter. This makes Harry realize that Peter couldn't have murdered his father, and if he wanted to kill him, why would he save his son? Harry sees his father's ghost telling him to kill Spider-Man and the Hobgoblin, but reality finally takes hold as Harry can't bring himself to do it.
Hobgoblin attacks Harry, and later, Spider-Man helps him; the two team up. However, Harry had taken a dosage of his pills, which caused him to collapse as Hobgoblin was about to kill him. Spider-Man stops him and beats him in a fight. He webs up Hobgoblin, and Black Cat returns after giving Normie to the police. Black Cat tells Spidey to take Harry to the hospital at once, as he needs help. Spider-Man does just that and tells Black Cat that Roderick is all hers. Black Cat looks at Hobgoblin, takes off his mask, puts on her claw gloves, and scars the crap out of Roderick. The Hobgoblin is arrested and taken into custody by SHIELD agents, and Ned's name is cleared as the Hobgoblin, as Spider-Man reveals that Roderick had framed Ned Leeds. Betty even gets payback on Roderick as she smacks him in the face for killing her husband.
During this scene, Harry is taken to the hospital, but before he dies, he tells Peter he's sorry for not believing him, knows he didn't kill his father after saving his son, and that he was his best friend. Peter tells him he will be okay and that he can't die; his family needs him. Harry smiles at Peter, tears coming to his eyes, and tells him to look after Liz and Normie for him.
They arrive at the hospital, where Mary Jane, Aunt May, and Liz arrive. She asks Peter, who's now out of his Spider-Man costume, and tells them Harry is gone. Liz cries holding her son as Aunt May comforts her. Peter cries with her, and Mary Jane hugs Peter as tears come down her face.
The next scene is the funeral for Harry Osborn we see Flash Thompson, Kenny, Felicy Hardy, and everyone who knew Harry. The funeral is, and Peter places a photo of him and Harry as kids. Peter gives a speech at his best friend's funeral, telling the audience how Harry was a good man and someone who always had Peter's back, always being his best friend.
The film ends with Peter and Mary Jane back at his apartment, where the two of them discuss what happened. Mary Jane asks him about something he had wanted to ask her before their dinner plans changed.
Peter pulls out a wedding ring, and Mary Jane is shocked, but Peter understands if it's too soon to ask or if she's not ready yet. But Mary Jane is not upset because she admits she loves Peter and had a feeling he would ask something like this.
Peter then asks her if she will marry him. The film ends there; we don't know what she says until the fifth film.
Now, the epilogue of the fourth film shows Miles Warren, and he tells his informant that the new Green Goblin is dead. Miles transforms into the Jackal, and his boss tells him to proceed with the new plan. Jackal smiles and grabs a vial of blood. The blood is from Peter Parker, and he says, "Time to begin Project: Scarlet Spider." He then looks at the metal casket, and it opens up. Jackal promises to help her avenge her death from the man who caused it, and the person in that casket is Gwen Stacy.
Yes, the next film is the infamous Clone Saga, and I know how hated this storyline is, but I'm going to address those problems as best I can.
Now the second mid credit scene shows Miles sitting on a bench he gets bitten by a spider and you know where this is going.
The film now opens with the Jackal creating his clones of Peter Parker, and we see two caskets, one of which breaks free due to some flawed experiments. The first clone is scarred all over his body from the experiments by the Jackal. Jackal had planned to destroy him as he was a failed clone, but the clone doesn't accept death; he breaks free and fights the Jackal's goons, raising sharp fangs from his hands and killing them. He escapes in the night and calls himself Kaine.
The other clone emerges looking just like Peter Parker, but the Jackal calls him useless and locks him into a room. However, the clone sees Gwen Stacy there. The two of them share the same memories and recall their love for each other. Both escape Miles' lab. The clones adopt the name Ben Reilly after his uncle and aunt's maiden name. The Gwen Stacy clone calls herself Joyce Delaney.
The film now shows Peter having a good day, despite the New Avengers having had a dangerous fight, and they ask him why he's so happy that they almost lost.
Spider-Man explains that he's getting married. Mary Jane said yes, and he's getting married. Everyone is happy for Peter, and he has already shared this news with his other friends and his aunt, May.
Peter and Mary Jane plan out their wedding, discussing who will walk Mary Jane down the aisle, and they choose Dr. Connors, who happily accepts.
However, Aunt May, who is very happy about the news, is the one who gave Peter her wedding ring. However, she learns that she has cancer, her doctor found a lump, and it's cancerous. Aunt May can't bring herself to tell Peter the news; the only person who knows is Anna Watson, Mary Jane's aunt.
Eventually, Aunt May has a sit-down with Peter, and she tells him that she has cancer. Peter is shocked and saddened, and he promises to help him get through it. However, Aunt May tells her she might only have a few months as the cancer is at stage 4. She tells Peter that he is getting married and should focus on that.
Aunt May even tells Peter that she has lived a full life, and if she has to go, she's all right because she knows Peter will be all right. Peter and Aunt May hug as he cries, and she then tells him how proud she is of him for saving the world.
Peter looks at her, and she always knew he was Spider-Man and was so proud of him, and she tells him Ben would be proud too.
However, she tells him she wants to meet Walter Hardly, the man who killed Uncle Ben. They both go to meet him, and there, Black Cat is also present. This is an emotional scene as Aunt May reunites with the man who killed her husband, but in the end, she chooses to forgive him as much as she hated him for killing Ben. She knows that he was set up by the Hobgoblin, as Peter had told her about the Hobgoblin's actions that led to Uncle Ben's death. Walter responds that if he could, he would have stopped himself, and he breaks down into tears over his crime. Peter then finds it in his heart to forgive Walter, as a real villain would show no remorse. Walter did.
Peter, of course, tells Mary Jane, and she knows too from Anna. Peter, of course, is still upset about this, but he accepts this and wants to make the best of it for May. Peter then receives a call about an Amber Alert. Peter leaves the apartment, and Mary Jane tells him that June 9th is the day she wants the wedding, and Peter agrees to it.
Spider-Man is swinging through the city when he encounters six of his rogues: Doc Ock, Mysterio, Electro, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, and Sandman. They call themselves the Sinister Six.
The Sinister Six appear in this film, and this is the first time Peter fights them as Doc Ock assembles his team of villains, all dedicated to taking down Spider-Man. Spider-Man and Doc Ock fight, and as they do, he asks him if he still supports HYDRA, but Ock says no. He wants to take down Peter, and it's revealed that he knows Peter is Spider-Man. However, out of respect for him, as he admires Peter, he won't reveal his identity to the others.
Spider-Man fights them and struggles, almost losing the fight, until a car is thrown at Sandman.
Spider-Man sees a man wearing a black suit with a dark purple cape, and at first, He assumes this is a new hero in town who is edgy. However, when Kaine fights Spider-Man's foes, he beats them to a pulp, and Spider-Man tries to stop him from doing this. Kaine, however, doesn't care, as they are a threat, and in the end, Kaine fights Doc Ock, and he kills him.
Spider-Man sees his former mentor die in front of him. Despite Doc Ock being an agent of HYDRA, he still respected Otto and still believed Otto could have done better with his life than work with HYDRA. Spider-Man, in a rage, attacks Kaine, but Kaine is stronger and has organic webs. Kaine then takes off his mask, and he looks just like Peter, but he appears to be badly scared. The rest of the Sinister Six escape but are injured from the fight. Kraven then takes over as leader and replaces Otto with Chameleon, his brother. Kraven also shows more interest in hunting down Spider-Man, who killed Otto, and seems like worthy prey. The Jackal himself appears and tells the Sinister 6 he will reward them greatly if they capture all three Spider-Men. He even provides them with updated suits and weapons to aid them.
Additionally, a robot that Otto built appears, and it contains Otto's subconscious; Otto seeks to acquire a new body.
After this, another Spider-Man comes in to help Peter fight Kaine. Kaine escapes and
Peter sees another Spider-Man, who wears a full red suit with a blue hoodie featuring a spider symbol on it. Peter is shocked, but he shouldn't be after knowing Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman. Spidey confronts the other Spider-Man after they beat the villains. The two of them chase each other, and he demands to know who he is. He says, "Call me Scarlet Spider." Spider-Man then investigates to learn more about this Scarlet Spider, and he follows him in secret at an apartment building.
When Peter enters the building, he is shocked to see Gwen Stacy. Peter is in deep shock and can't believe Gwen is alive, but she tells him her name is Joyce. It isn't until Scarlet Spider shows himself and reveals his face. Peter is in deep shock as he looks just like Peter, but his hair is blonde, his eyes are blue, and he says his name is Ben Reily, revealing that he's a clone of Peter.
Spider-Man, of course, has so many questions about this, as it's so much to take in. He even makes a reference to how this is like a bad comic book plot. Ben and Joyce explain who they are and how they were created as clones by Miles Warren, also known as the Jackal. Peter asks why Miles did this, and Joyce explains that he blames Peter for Gwen's death, as he was in love with her. This disgusts Peter, as she was his student and he was a teacher. Peter asks about the other Spider-Man he fought, and Ben reveals that his name is Kaine and that he is a clone, but is more violent. He was actually the first clone of Peter and was badly scared by the Jackal. Peter decides to bring them to his place, and Mary Jane is in shock to see Gwen and another Peter. Peter then explains to her that these are clones created by Warren Miles aka the Jackal. Joyce asks Mary Jane about her wedding ring, and Mary Jane reveals that she and Peter are engaged. Which shocks Joyce, but she understands, as she's happy for Peter. Peter asks Ben where they will go, and both of them plan to leave and head to Houston, Texas, and start a new life away from the Jackal.
Peter and Ben get to know each other, and the two of them bond as he sees Ben not as a clone but as an actual brother. However, they are both later confronted by Kaine. Peter tries to reason with Kaine, but Kaine says Ben is a threat to him and Mary Jane. Ben says he knows the Jackal is after both of them and wouldn't harm Peter and Mary Jane. Peter tries again to reason with Kaine and tells him he has the same memories as him, understands what he went through, and wants to help him. At this moment, Kaine stops and thinks, but before he says something.
All of a sudden, the Sinister Six attack them, and during the fight, all three Spider-Men fight until both Ben and Kaine are captured, but Peter escapes as Ben tells him to go save MJ and Joyce. Spider-Man attaches a tracking device to Ben's leg to determine their location.
Later, Aunt May appears at Mary Jane's place, where she sees Joyce and can't believe it. Mary Jane tries to explain it, but later gets a call from Anna, who points out that May is with her. Mary Jane realizes this isn't Aunt May as she pulls out a triquinzer gun and shoots both of them. It's Chameleon.
Miles Morales is at the apartment and sees that it has been broken into. Spider-Man arrives, and Miles explains that he saw his aunt in their apartment, and later, he saw a man with a white face take both women away. Peter then asks Miles how he had not been seen by the Chameleon, and Miles reveals something to Spider-Man that he can disappear and crawl on walls like him. Spider-Man is shocked but tells Miles that he will deal with it after he saves Mary Jane and the others. He instructs Miles to inform the police.
Peter finds Jackal's lab and sees that Mary Jane, Ben Reily, and Joyce are being held captive. Spider-Man frees them and beats both Electro and Sandman. Kaine, however, is being held captive as Jackal injects him with something, and he turns into Man-Spider. His own personal bodyguard now.
Peter and Ben confront the Jackal, and with him are the other Sinister Six, and Spider-Man tells Jackal he's shutting down his clone project. Jackal then tells him he's not the real mastermind behind this, but he would gladly help ruin Peter Parker's life.
Jackal shows Gwen Stacy Clones, all of whom blame Peter for their deaths and they all love Warren for being there for them. This stresses Peter until Joyce comes in with Mary Jane, and Joyce tells Peter not to blame himself. All of a sudden, Jackal activates a switch, and all of the Gwens start to die, including Joyce, as Ben rushes to her. She tells Ben that she loves him and tells Mary Jane that her love for Peter is what he needs. Joyce turns to dust, and Ben attacks the Jackal until he orders the Kaine to attack along with the Sinister Six.
In the end, Spider-Men take down his Sinister Six, and both Ben and Peter fight Kaine. They reason with Kaine, and he kills the Jackal in cold blood, but after this, Kaine dies, but he's not really dead; instead, he is reborn with his scars all healed.
Kaine would return in the next film all healed up and would play a big role in the sixth film.
You'll see him in this suit.
Now, after the events of the Jackal. Ben is distraught over Joyce's death. Peter tells him he knows how he feels, and Peter shows Ben some old photos of him and the times from Peter's childhood. Ben tells him he has great memories, but Peter tells him there are his too. The two become brothers rather than clones, and Peter even invites Ben to his wedding, but Ben instead knows Spider-Man is needed, and he wants to give Peter the chance to have a life. So Ben Reilly becomes the new Spider-Man.
Now, after this, Peter and Mary Jane go forward with their wedding plans, and we see the wedding. The wedding attracts many of Peter's friends, as well as notable figures from the superhero community, including Matt Murdock, Luke Cage, the Fantastic Four, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Monica Rambeau, and many more. Aunt May is made the maid of honor for the wedding, and the wedding is a huge success, filled with love. Jonah Jameson even gives Peter a week's vacation in Hawaii as his wedding gift, and it shows how much he cares for Peter Parker, despite hating Spider-Man. Ben even shows up as Spider-Man to congratulate Peter on his wedding and thanks the New Avengers and other heroes for coming to Peter's wedding. Jonah Jameson is annoyed to see Spider-Man and Ben web up Jonah's mouth, calling back to the first Spider-Man film.
Ben's time as Spider-Man would be the subject of a separate article. I would create a spin-off called Spider-Men, a TV mini-series focusing on Ben and Miles. Additionally, Ben would take Peter's spot on the New Avengers in New Avengers 3.
We finally see these two marry and going on vacation and living their life together.
Also, near the end of the wedding, Miles shows Peter's spider powers and asks Peter for help, and Peter agrees as the two of them are both on the ceiling.
However, even though things are starting to look up for Peter, that's not the case. In a mid-credit scene, it's revealed who the real mastermind of the Clone Saga really was.
That's right, Norman Osborn was the real mastermind, and he was never dead. After he learned of the Jackal's death. Osborn met with one of his agents named Alison Mongrain, and she had stolen something from SHIELD. To which Osborn wants to use, and that's the Carnage suit, and as for that, if I do a Venom story, I will explain how Osborn got the Carnage suit.
Norman has big plans with Carnage, big plans.
The last film is a two-part adaptation of Marvel Knights: Spider-Man and the Red Goblin.
I was inspired by the Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows films, as well as the Dune films. The Last films are Called Ultimate Spider-Man Part One and Two.
Now, after Peter's wedding and following the events of the Clone Saga, Peter Parker is taking the next big step in his life. He has become a full-time journalist for the Bugle and is a part-time teacher, but now he is going to become a father.
Things are looking up for Peter right now, and Ben has been keeping New York safe as Spider-Man, while also mentoring Miles Morales, who goes by Spider-Boy.
So these two have been keeping New York safe for Peter, and they are excited about Peter becoming a father.
However, despite this exciting news, Peter gets a call from the hospital, and Peter and Mary Jane rush to the hospital where Mary Jane's aunt Anna is. Peter has a moment with his Aunt May, which is like a moment in the Insomic game. He tells her about the baby, and Aunt May is happy to hear the good news. She also suggests two names: Richie, after Peter's father, and the reason not to choose Ben is that May heard there are now thousands of Bens in New York because Spider-Man gave his name to a pregnant woman to name her baby. Peter admits he did that. Peter says if they have a girl, they'll name her May after her. She tells Peter she loves him and that she will send his love to Ben and his parents. Peter kisses his Aunt May on the forehead, and May closes her eyes and passes away.
We have May's funeral, and she is buried alongside Ben; everyone is attending the funeral. Both Peter and Ben Reilly mourn her, as he had memories of her, too. Both brothers mourn their aunt's death, but Peter will never forget her as the loving woman she was. Martin Li attends her funeral and tells Peter they will remember May for all the hard work she did for FEAST. Martin even puts May's name outside the FEAST building to remember her by.
Peter then learns that Aunt May has left her house to Peter and Mary Jane for them to live in. So, they move in and prepare the baby's room with the help of friends.
Months pass, and Mary Jane is due in a month or two. They don't know the gender yet, but Peter was given a hint by someone. He even gets advice from Luke Cage, Mr. Fantastic, and Wolverine on how to be a good dad.
Peter gets a text from Ben and tells him he and Miles are fighting Doc Ock. Which shocks Peter as he saw Doc Ock die the night he first met Kaine. However, Miles then shows him a photo of Doc Ock. Wearing a full costume with tentacle arms, he has some of Peter Parker's blood in him; thus, he has some of Spider-Man's powers.
This Doc Ock is younger, and at first, Peter thinks this is someone new. Peter decides to go help Ben and Miles. He arrives at the scene and fights this new Doc Ock until he learns that this new Doc Ock is Otto, but in a younger body. He reveals that his subconscious was in a robot he had created in case he died, and after the events of the Clone Saga, he used the Jackal's lab to clone himself a much younger body. He also added some of Spider-Man's DNA to his new body, which gives him some of the same powers. Spider-Man fights Otto along with Ben and Miles. Until Scorpion arrives, except that he is wearing a new suit, not just any suit, but a suit with a symbiote.
He even now calls himself Virus.
All three Spider-Men fight both foes, but are stronger than ever until Agent Venom, aka Flash Thompson, Black Cat, Daredevil, and Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, join the fight, but after the fight. Doc Ock mentions it's only the beginning, as someone wants him dead.
Flash Thompson is Venom after the events of the Venom film in my Phase 4.
Peter wonders how he got a symboite. Peter, of course, talks to Flash, and he tells him that the Carnage symbiote likely reproduced. Peter then asks who had the suit last. The last person to wear the suit was Cletus Kasidy, until Venom (Eddie Brock at the time) killed him, and the suit was subsequently taken by SHIELD. However, Flash contacts SHIELD, and they reveal the suit was stolen by a double agent, someone Flash thought he could trust named Alison Mongrain.
Spider-Man, of course, assembles his friends to investigate this, so they split into two groups: one with Peter, Miles, Daredevil, and Flash, and the other with Ben, Black Cat, and Human Torch. He informs Mary Jane of this, and he gives her a taser gun in case anyone comes after her. Some of Spidey's villains escaped prison, and Dr. Connors went missing, and even Jonah Jameson was captured, too. Peter, Miles, and Flash find a camera where he was captured by two villains, who were Vulture and Electro. However, there are new suits of armor, and they are more powerful. Spider-Man wonders how they got this new tech. The group splits up with Peter asking Miles to keep on MJ to which he accepts and Spider-Man along with Daredevil and Agent Venom will investigate Connor's kidnapping. They later encounter Connors who is the Lizard again. They try to cure him but he is helped by Hydro Man. The two of them escape and Spider-Man what's going on.
While that happens, Ben, Black Cat, and Human Torch are attacked by Robot Master. They fight after the fight. Black Cat is hurt, so The Human Torch takes her to safety while Ben questions the Robot Master, but all of a sudden, he hears a voice.
Ben looks up and is in shock, as he can't believe it when he remembers this man. He tries to attack him, but Osborn knocks him out and kills Robot Master.
Spider-Man learns that Ben is missing from Johnny Storm, and he searches for Ben.
Meanwhile, Miles keeps an eye on Mary Jane until his spider-sense goes off and he wonders what it is. Spider-Man searches until he gets a message from someone. Spider-Man arrives at what appears to be an old OsCorp factory. Spider-Man searches the factory until he finds Jonah Jameson and Ben Reilly beaten up and tied up, and Jonah tells him, "Watch out." Spider-Man gets knocked out. As he regains consciousness, he wakes up feeling dizzy until he hears a voice from the back of his head. He turns his head, and he can't believe it.
It's Norman Osborn, and Peter is shocked to see his old foe is alive. Spider-Man asks how he is alive, and Osborn explains that he didn't actually die, that the G-Serum had a healing factor that healed his wounds. However, he still bears a scar as a reminder of that day.
He reveals that Harry helped him, and he faked his death. Harry always knew his father was still alive, and he asked Harry to continue his work. However, Harry questioned it, which didn't surprise him, as he had always believed Harry was useless. Norman also reveals he was the real mastermind behind the Clone Saga, and he did all this to mess with Peter's life, and he vows to kill him and everyone he loves. He also assembled all of Spidey's foes, and calling them the Sinister 12. Spider-Man attacks Osborn as he puts on his Green Goblin suit. Jonah Jameson comes in with Ben, and he overhears Osborn calling him Peter; thus, Jonah now knows Peter is Spider-Man.
Spider-Man escapes with Ben and Jonah. The Green Goblin has new equipment, and during the fight, Spider-Man almost dies. However, Kaine saves them. The Green Goblin escapes but tells Peter that he's going to destroy his life.
They are shocked to see Kaine back, and he explains that he was reborn and is now alive again. His scars are healed, and he now wants to help his brothers take down Osborn. Ben isn't sure he can trust him after what he did, and Kaine understands, but he wants to help. Peter agrees to Kaine's help, and after that, Peter calls Miles Morales to check on Mary Jane's well-being.
Miles reveals that Mary Jane almost got poisoned by someone, but Miles saved, her, and the baby. Peter returns to check on Mary Jane, and Anna is there, assuring Peter that she is fine and that they were going out for lunch. Spider-Boy stopped her from eating the food. It turns out the waiter poisoned the food, and it would have likely killed her and the baby. Miles then took down the waiter and her name was Alison now she is being question by Agent Venom.
Peter thanks Miles for what he did, as he saved his wife and unborn child.
The two of them hug, and he tells her everything that happened. Peter tells Mary Jane that he wants her to be safe, so he contacts the New Avengers and the Fantastic Four to help keep her and the baby safe. Additionally, he gathers everyone close to him and puts them under his protection, including Jonah, Robbie, Betty, Randolph, Liz Allen, and many more.
However, Osborn assembles his Sinister 12, and they all go after everyone Peter cares about. The Sinister 12 roster is Green Goblin, Superior Octopus, The Lizard, Vulture, Electro, Scorpion/Virus, Sandman, Hydro Man, Shocker, Mister Negative, Rhino, and Kraven the Hunter. He tells them they are going to kill Spider-Man once and for all and they will take over New York. They attack Manhattan.
Spider-Man, along with the other Spider-Men, Venom, Fantastic Four, Black Cat, and the New Avengers, goes into action.
Spider-Man confronts Green Goblin, and the two of them fight, but as they fight, Osborn seemingly gives up but tells Peter that he's sorry for what he did and everything else. Spider-Man doesn't believe him, and he also reveals that he gave Scorpion the symbiote spawn from the Carnage suit. Peter asks where the Carnage suit is and Green Goblin laughs. He asks him what happens when merge G-Serum with a symboite.
Norman Osborn summons the Carnage suit and becomes the Red Goblin. Spider-Man sees this, and his first words are "Fuck me." Yeah, Spidey drops the F-bomb for the first time in a Spider-Man movie.
Spider-Man fights Red Goblin, and the fight is hard as Peter struggles to fight him. Ben joins in the fight, but they are no match for the Red Goblin. Human Torch comes in and blasts fire at Red Goblin, injuring him, but Red Goblin throws a bomb, injuring Johnny Storm. However, as Red Goblin flees on his glider, Spider-Man chases after him, along with Ben Reilly. Until they are attacked by Virus, both Spider-Men fight him until Venom comes in and fights off Virus for them.
They follow him to the Brooklyn Bridge they where it's revealed that Osborn has captured Mary Jane. It turns out that the Avenger who was keeping Mary Jane safe was Chameleon. Mary Jane, who had figured out the surprise, shot him with a Taser and hit him with a bat. Until Superior Ock came and kidnapped her. Mary Jane is on the exact bridge where Gwen died, and Osborn even says to Peter, "Remind you of anything."
Ben distracts Osborn while Peter goes to save her. However, Otto prevents Peter from saving her and the two fight.
The two of them fight as Peter once again tells Otto that he could have done better with his life and that he wasted it. Otto tells Peter he knows that he chose his path, but after his death, he saw a second chance, but here he is helping Osborn kill him. Peter tells him that if he had a second chance at life, he would have done better. Hearing his former protege, he realizes he has done wrong, and this could be a chance to do better.
Red Goblin throws a bomb, and Mary Jane falls off the bridge. Spider-Man, remembering every day the night Gwen died, learned what he did wrong. He saves Mary Jane.
During the fight, Osborn gets the upper hand until Ben bangs the bridge with some broken metal, causing the symbiote pain, until the glider shoots a bullet in Ben's leg, injuring Ben. But before he could kill Ben, Otto attacks Osborn, and is shocked by this betrayal. They fight, allowing Ben to get Peter and MJ. Otto gets knocked out, and as Peter rescues Mary Jane, the Green Goblin launches his glider and is about to hit both of them, but then Ben steps forward in front of them.
Ben dies saving Spider-Man and Mary Jane. Peter is devastated over the death of his brother. As the Red Goblin laughs, he is attacked by Kaine, but Norman escapes, telling him this is just the beginning. Peter talks to a dying Ben with Mary Jane and Kaine at his side. He tells Peter and Mary Jane that he loves them both and is grateful that Peter was his brother and accepted him despite being a clone. His final words were to please let my nephew know who he was and let him know he had an uncle Ben. Peter and Mary Jane both cry and promise him, and Kaine sheds a tear for his clone brother, telling him to look out for Peter and MJ, as they are his family. Kaine, of course, promises he will.
Otto offers his sympathy to Peter and Mary Jane, although he harbors resentment towards Kaine for killing him. It is not the time. Otto joins Spider-Man to take down Osborn once and for all.
Ben turns to ash, and his ashes are collected, and Spider-Man meets with the others and informs them that Ben is dead. Peter tells them that Otto has joined them and is on their side, even though the other heroes don't trust him. However, he assures them that Otto can help them beat Osborn and knows his plans. The group informs Peter that the Sinister 12 have escaped, except for one, and that is Lizard, who has been turned back into Doctor Connors. Spider-Man asks him about the Red Goblin's plans. He reveals to Peter that Osborn is planning to take over the city, and he plans to give half of the Carnage suit to whom?
At the end of the film, we see the Sinister 12 assemble at the Life Foundation, where Liz Allen is present. She's with Normie and begs him to let them go, but Norman tells her he's got plans for his grandson and heir.
There, Norman gives his young 6-year-old grandson half of the carnage suit. Thus, he turns into a little red goblin, and he welcomes his grandson into the family business.
Part Two
Spider-Man is back at his home and assembles his friends for the upcoming battle to take down the Red Goblin. They learn that Norman has turned Normie into a little red goblin. Spider-Man devises a plan to eliminate Osborn while saving Normie. Otto gives Spider-Man a sound gun that will aid them in defeating the Red Goblin and freeing Normie Osborn without hurting him.
The New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Miles will distract the Sinister 12 while this happens Spider-Man, Venom, and Doc Ock will face off against Red Goblin. Meanwhile, Mary Jane goes into labor, but is taken by SHIELD agents to be protected and to ensure her safe delivery. Spider-Man confronts the Red Goblin, along with Venom, as they battle.
Meanwhile, Peter tries to save Normie, but Normie doesn't want his help, blaming him for his dad's death and attacks him. However, during the fight, Liz tries to help Normie but is almost killed by Virus. However, Peter, along with Normie, saves her life. This causes Normie to realize that Spider-Man isn't a bad guy, but the Red Goblin tells Normie it's a trick. However, both Liz and Peter convince him of how awful his grandfather is, and this is not what his dad would want. Normie then fights to get the symbiote off him, so Peter uses the device Otto gave him and it removes the symbiote from Normie. Normie is saved, and in his anger, Red Goblin throws a bomb at Normie and Liz, but Flash saves them at the cost of his own life.
Flash dies a hero, but gives Peter the symbiote to fight the Red Goblin. Before he meets his end, he reveals that he has always known Peter was Spider-Man. He tells him he's the reason he became a better person, as Peter Parker inspired him and was his number one fan, just like Spider-Man. Spider-Man mourns the death of his friend and vows to avenge him. Peter tells Otto to take Liz and Normie to safety to which he does. He even tells Peter "You are a Superior Spider-Man now."
Spider-Man and the Red Goblin do battle, which also serves as a rematch between Venom and Carnage.
The battle is fierce and violent until Peter tells Norman that it will be Carnage that kills him, not him. As he is just a puppet to the carnage suit. This angers Osborn, and so he aggressively removes the Carnage suit. The Venom suits leave Spider-Man willing, but Venom knows Spider-Man has a plan. Spidey asks for safety, showing that he and Venom are now allies. The Venom suit then rebounds to Eddie Brock after this.
There, the two enemies fight off, and during this fight, Mary Jane is in labor. Meanwhile, the New Avengers, along with the Fantastic Four, Kaine, Doc Ock, Black Cat, and Miles, arrive and witness this fight, as most of the Sinister Tweleve have been defeated. The fight is brutal, like No Way Home, but even more violent. During the fight, Peter remembers everyone he loves and those he has lost, but he never gives up. He tells Osborn that his friends and family are always with him, and they have taught him the importance of courage and sacrifice. Something Osborn never had, as he only had an ego and was selfish and even willing to kill his own family. Peter even sees the people has lost his parents, his uncle, his aunt, Gwen, Captain Stacy, Jean DeWolf, Ned Leeds, Harry Osborn, Ben Reilly, and Flash Thompson. They all stand with him and he knows they will always be by his side. They are people that he fights for and always will.
The heroes cheer on Spider-Man, and during the fight, Carnage's suit tries to rebound to Osborn as he is losing, but Spider-Man grabs a burning car and uses it to hit Carnage. All of a sudden, Osborn stabs Peter in the shoulder and is about to kill him, and even mocks Peter and tells, "Don't worry about MJ and that little bitty spider about to be born. I'll pay them a visit." A gun was fired and hit Norman's side; the one who shot him was Jonah Jameson, who saved Spider-Man's life. Jonah then wants to kill Osborn and tells Spider-Man to move, but Peter won't let him and tells him he won't kill even someone like Osborn. Peter tells Jonah that they have to be better. Jonah sees his point until Green Goblin attacks again, but this time Kaine steps in and stabs Osborn through his spine, but doesn't kill him, but paralyzes him, and thus Osborn can never move his body again. The day is saved, and all the heroes rest, but Black Cat tells him the baby is coming. Spider-Man gets a ride from his teammates to the hospital while the others stay and arrest the Sinister 12. Superior Ock escapes but that's a story for another day.
Peter arrived at the hospital, and there, in a room, was Mary Jane, smiling as she introduced their son to him. Peter is in tears as he holds his son, and while he does, He recieves a message from Luke Cage and tells them they have arrested the Sinister 12. Also everyone congratulates Peter on the birth of his son, and Luke texts him, "Welcome to Fatherhood," With him sending a photo of him, Mr. Fantastic, and Wolverine giving him a thumbs up.
Peter and Mary Jane look at their son, and they name him Richie Eugene Parker. Richie after his grandfather, Richard Parker, and his middle name is Eugene after Flash Thompson. Peter and Mary Jane sleep on the bed with their son in their arms.
The next day, a funeral is held for Flash Thompson, and Peter gives a speech. After this, Peter visits Aunt May's grave, and there, Kaine and them talk. Kaine decides to leave New York to start anew and honor Ben Reilly by taking on the role of Scarlet Spider. Peter says goodbye to Kaine, his brother. Kaine then takes the Parker name and goes Kaine Parker.
This would lead to a spin-off TV series of Scarlet Spider, starring Kaine.
Later on, Peter and Mary Jane are at home playing with their son, and Miles arrives, meeting little Richie.
Peter tells Miles that he is going to take some time off as Spider-Man, and Miles tells him that New York still needs a web-head. Peter looks at Miles and tells him That's him, and without Miles, Mary Jane and his son would be dead right now. Miles looks at Peter and tells him he's ready to be Spider-Man, but he will do it his way and will never forget "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility." Peter names Miles the new Spider-Man, and Miles accepts that responsibility. All of a sudden, a news report of a robbery happens, and Peter tells him to get going.
Miles swings into action as the new Spider-Man.
This would lead into a spin off a film series based on Miles as Spider-Man, as Peter Parker is now retired, unless something happens.
Now, in the film's epilogue, we see fifteen years later. We see an older Peter Parker with a beard.
We also see that Mary Jane is a full-time actress and directs stage/broadway plays. Richie is now fifteen years old, and Peter and Mary Jane have had another kid, a daughter who is around ten years old. Her name is May Anna Parker, named after her late aunts. The family is having breakfast, and both kids ask, if Spider-Man, will take them swinging, to which they are referring is Miles, not Peter. Peter tells them that if they get to school on time, he'll let Miles know. They know their dad is Spider-Man but currently Miles is Spider-Man.
After the kids leave for school, Peter and Mary Jane are alone. They decide to go do something fun together.
Spider-Man and Mary Jane swing across New York, both of them happy, and finally, Peter Parker is living his best life with a loving family, and no matter what, he'll always be our Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.
