Hawkman DCU Fan Cast and Ideas.
Now after Hawkman, his big screen debut in Black Adam, even though Black Adam wasn't that good. I think they will expand on Hawkman, and I've heard reports there is now a Hawkman movie in the works. Aldis Hodge did a great job as Hawkman, and I think he will remain in the DCU and, like Shazam, not be recast. At least I hope they keep him because he was the best character in Black Adam. For a Hawkman film, I think it should be an origin film but set in modern-day times. As well, Hawkgirl will be in the film as Hawkman's wife. As well as other members of the JSA of old and a new team coming.
If I had to pick a director for this film, I would go with either
Antoine Fuqua
or
Rupert Wyatt
Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall/Hawkman
Olivia Cooke as Shayera Thal/Hawkwoman
Avan Jogia as Khalid Nassour/Dr. Fate
Cary Elwes as Alan Scott/The Green Lantern
Viggo Mortenson as Rex Tyler/Hourman
Timothy Olyphant as Ted Grant/WildCat
Thomasin McKenzie as Jade
Isabel May as Jessica Chambers/Jesse Quick
Tye Sheridan as Rick Tyler/Hourman
Rami Malek as Hath Set
Boyd Holbrook as Shadow Thief
Now that's my cast for the Hawkman movie, and here are my ideas for a Hawkman movie.
9. The film should talk about retired superheroes and explore DC Lore.
The film is about Hawkman, but we also explore old heroes such as Alan Scott, Jay Garrick, Rex Tyler, and Ted Grant. Who are retired superheroes who have passed on the mantle to their children or someone else continuing their legacy? For example, Rex and Ted, their sons Rick and Tom have taken up their mantles as the new Hourman and WildCat, Alan's daughter has become a superhero in her own right called Jade since there are already Green Lanterns since Alan's Green Lantern Ring is from the Green Flame not of the Power of Will and Jay since he has no children and The Flash the mantle is now in good hands with Barry Allen. Has Jessica Chambers, aka Jesse Quick, a speedster, who's to take his place on the JSA. Jay even sees Jesse as a daughter in his life, just like he sees Barry Allen as a son. I can also see a scene where Hawkman invites his former members over for dinner and drink to remember Dr. Fate, who died, and they talk about what's it like to be a retired superhero and their thoughts on today's superheroes. The film should also explore DC lore, how before Justice League, there was the Justice Society, and there have been superheroes since the 1940s.
8. The film would set up a Justice Society film and a passing of the torch.
Now I can see the Hawkman film setting up a Justice Society film in the future. Hawkman, I can see at the end of the film, he forms a new Justice Society, and his recruitments are Dr. Fate, Hourman, TomCat, Jesse Quick, and Jade. I can see the film having Jay and Alan as mentors to the new generation of Justice Society members. 7. Hawkman's power of reincarnation will be discussed in the film.
Hawkman's power of Reincarnation is talked about and explored in the film. I think the film will address his extraordinary power, and his wife, Hawkwoman, has the same power. Hawkman has many reincarnations, and at one point, someone mentions that he was killed in a battle against an alien invasion saving the world in the 80s. Hawkman also keeps track of his deaths and the lives he had before. The Justice Society knows about his power, and his wife Shayera was killed in battle in the 90s. The two reunite and always remember each other, for their love is never forgotten. 6. The film would explore Hawkman's origin.
This film will focus on Hawkman's origin and his first life. He was a prince named Khufu during the Rameses the Second. Khufu and his lover Chay-Ara were reincarnated from several eras. The reason for his powers of reincarnation is that they found a spaceship that belonged to the Thanagar, or the Hawkpeople of the Planet Thanagar. They discovered nth metal, a powerful metal from the planet Thanagar. Hawkman uses it for his weapons and armor. Hath-Set, a high priest, murdered Khufu and Chay-Ara with a dagger forged by Nth Metal, but due to a spell cast by Nabu, the creator of the Fate Helmet, it gives them the power of Reincarnation. However, Hawkman doesn't remember that life along with his wife, for they both don't remember their lives in Egypt. The film is about him trying to learn who he was in his first life and his wife's life too. 5. Hath-Set and Shadow Theif would be the villains of the film.
Hath-Set would be the film's main villain, and he, too, has the power of reincarnation like Hawkman. He's fought Hawkman in every era. In the movie, he joins forces with Shadow Thief to kill Hawkman and Hawkwoman. Shadow Thief is one of Hawkman's other arch enemies, and he has fought Hawkman before in the past. This time, he joins forces with Hath-Set to take kill him. I can see Shadow Theif stealing the helmet of Doctor Fate in the film, for Hath-Set wants to use it against Hawkman. Hath-Set will also have the power of reincarnation, and he made his mission to Hawkman and Hawkwoman in whatever life they have. 4. The film would introduce a new Dr. Fate.
The film could have a new Dr. Fate, and it would be the grand nephew of Kent. Khalid Kent is a young man Hawkman learns about and doesn't want to be Dr. Fate at first. He wants to live a normal life until the helmet is stolen by Shadow Thief, and eventually, Khalid has no choice but puts on the helmet of fate. He becomes the new Dr. Fate. Dr. Fate, I can see getting a spin-off. I did mention I liked the idea of each season focusing on a new person as Dr. Fate because it's the helmet that's the hero. 3. Hawkwoman would play a significant role in the film and set her up to join Justice League.
Hawkwoman would be in the film and play a significant role. The Hawkwoman I would go with would be Shayera. Since she was the Hawkgirl in the Justice League Animated series and is more well-known, I can see Kendra eventually appearing. Shayera and Carter are in a romance, and she helps Carter battle against Hath-Set and Shadow Thief. I don't see the character joining the Justice Society full-time; instead, she joins part-time. Hawkwoman would be set up to join the Justice League. 2. The movie sets the stages of the Thangar race appearing in the next film.
I think the film will set up the Thangar race appearing in future movies, and Carter learns he's an alien from a race of hawk people.
1. Hawkman movie will likely be its own thing and not a follow-up to Black Adam. Since Black Adam is not part of James Gunn's plan.
Since the Black Adam wasn't the big hit, WB thought it would be, and it seems to have been confirmed that the film is not part of James Gunn's DCU plan. The Hawkman film could be a stand-alone film, but I think they should keep the death of Dr. Fate and how that affects Hawkman because they were best friends. So I would maintain that aspect for this movie. Also, instead of Dr. Fate getting killed in the Black Adam film, he died saving a group of people. The film should be about Hawkman's origins, his powers of reincarnation, retired heroes and new heroes taking up the mantle of old heroes. 1. Hawkman movie will likely be its own thing and not a follow-up to Black Adam. Since Black Adam is not part of James Gunn's plan.
Also, I would see Hawkman eventually joining the Justice League in a future film, just like his wife will. However, it really depends if Hawkman will be part of the DCU plan, and although rumor has it, Gunn is looking at Justice League, the animated series, and Young Justice for ideas and inspiration.
