Hellboy The Crooked Man Review
So I saw Hellboy the Crooked Man yesterday, and here's my review of it. It was okay and is much better than the 2019 Hellboy film. This Hellboy has a low budget 20 million, but overall, it's an alright, fun horror film. This film has a more horror vibe than the last three Hellboy films. The film is set during the 1950s with a younger Hellboy. He's working with a fellow BRPD agent named Jo, who has to help Tom Ferrell take down the Crooked Man. Some scenes were scary, and the Crooked Man was a pretty frightening villain, especially since his powers are creepy. Still, this film was okay, and the special effects could have been better considering the budget; however, despite that, the film itself is alright, and it's a fun movie if you love horror with action.
I know some Hellboy fans will like this film because it was written by Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy.
As for the cast, Jack Kesy did a good job as Hellboy. He's not on the same level as Ron Perlman, but he was good. The rest of the cast was good, too, in this film. Overall, the movie was okay. It's a fun horror movie, and that's all it needs to be. I give this film a 6 out of 10.
I do hope we get more Hellboy projects. I don't know if they will make a sequel. If not, I think Mike should do a TV series reboot or animated series like the Hellboy Animated films or just make Del Toro's third Hellboy film with Ron Perlman. Even Ron wants to do it.
