SPIDER-MAN VS VENOM.
or it's second name Battle of the Toms
So as we all know there is an Venom movie coming out next month, now I have doubts on the film and Sony's less Spidey Verse universe which I have a lot of doubts on. Like when Sony and Marvel made a deal to share Spider-Man we were all hoping Venom would be introduce through Infinity war or something like that, but no Sony announces their going to make their Spider less cinematic universe. Are reaction was this.
I mean it's like Sony you made a deal for a reason you've been making bad films and poor decisions lately. Like I would prefer Venom getting introduce through Infinity War or something like that I mean, I have doubts on Venom like there's no Spiderman connection, that hack Avi Arad along with Matt Tolmech are producing the film, the film is going to be PG 13 it was suppose to be rated R, and some the jokes are stupid. Still there are somethings that are cool like Venom looks great, Tom Hardy is solid casting choice, The director of the film made Zombieland so that's good I just he had more creative control, and some of the action scenes from the trailer look cool. Still I have doubts on the film and I see this film getting mixed reviews thats just my opinion.
A poop joke, really Sony?
Now we've all heard rumours that Spiderman and Venom will crossover, we've heard stuff like the Venom movie is the MCU, Spider-man will make a cameo in the Venom, and we've heard that its not happening anytime soon. Sony does want that to happen and they want their characters in "their universe" to crossover with the MCU characters. Now since Sony and Marvel Studios made a deal to share Spiderman which has been great so far. One thing, we all want to see is a Spiderman and Venom crossover because we didn't get a proper fight with Spiderman and Venom in Spiderman 3, we all want to see a proper fight.
Tom Holland wants to fight Tom Hardy.
Tom Hardy wants to fight Tom Holland.
LET IT HAPPEN MARVEL STUDIOS AND SONY!!!!
TH VS TH!!
LET THEM FIGHT!!!
Now here is my cast and crew for a Spiderman vs Venom movie. Now how this could fit into Marvel Studios and Sony's schedule? Now it could be possible that Marvel and Sony are planning a crossover and there could be a stand alone Spiderman VS Venom movie in the works. We don't know what's going on though, Sony wants to do it but it all depends on Venom's successes. If the movie becomes a major successes, than yeah it's a go, or if it does well at the box office but gets mixed write ups, Sony might just say "Okay, Marvel Studios will let you handle all of the 900 characters we own because we need more help than we realized." or if it's a failure well Sony maybe just let Marvel Studios handle all characters from now on and fire Avi Arad and find a good producer.
Now enough all that, here's my cast and crew for a Spiderman vs Venom movie. The film I would set after the first Venom and after Spiderman Far From Home. It's hard to find a good place in the MCU Timeline to put this film in, if the film happens.
Jon Watts as Director of the film
Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal as Producers
Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach as nothing. I wouldn't let these guys anywhere near Spider-man again.
Sony you really shouldn't have Avi Arad behind you're universe get someone who actually knows what their doing and doesn't say or do stupid shit like this "The kids love Venom." (It's an R rated film!! Oh wait its not anymore bad move by the way!!) and Avi Arad has said in the past he didn't want Spiderman in the MCU even though we fans wanted Spiderman in the MCU, but Avi Arad didn't care what we fans wanted.
Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom
Zendaya as MJ Watson
Marsia Tomei as Aunt May
Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds
Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson
Angourie Rice as Betty Brant
Cuba Gooding Jr as Robbie Joesph Robertson
Richard Madden as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic
Blake Lively as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman
Colin Ford as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch
Alan Ritchson as Ben Grimm/The Thing
The Fantastic Four would have a cameo in the film it would be like Iron Man's role in Spider-Man Homecoming. They help Spider-Man break free of the symboite, the reason is because the bell tower has been done to death.
Now this a character many want to see in the MCU, but there's only one actor who can play him and to be honest I want him to come back too. J.K. Simmons even said he would be down to play JJJ again. Yup, J Jonah Jameson. Here are my three choices on who could the MCU J Jonah Jameson, but I'll add J.K Simmons as a forth casting choice.
First choice: Jon Hamm as Jonah Jameson
Second choice: Timothy Olyphant as Jonah Jameson
Third choice: Seth Macfarlane as Jonah Jameson (I have friend who will likely see this and will message me no, no, no, no, no, no. Because he's doesn't like Family Guy or American Dad.)
This is the reaction everyone will give me for my casting choices for JJJ in the MCU.
In all honesty, I'm down for JK Simmons to come back because like RDJ, Hugh Jackman, and Chris Evans, he's irreplaceable.
Kate Mara as Detective Jean DeWolff
Jean is a Detective NYDP and in this version of the character she's former SHIELD agent. She admires Spiderman for protecting New York like she did in the comics. Jean is killed by The Sin Eater who is her ex-boyfriend Stan Carter. Spiderman takes her death hard and goes after the Sin-Eater for killing his friend. Ben Foster as Dennis Carradine aka The Burglar
Yeah that's right the guy who killed Uncle Ben would be in the film, but there is no flashback of him killing uncle Ben it's not needed. Instead, he's play a big role in film. In the film he escapes prison and Spiderman wants to find him and bring him for killing his uncle Ben. Spiderman fights him in the black suit and Spiderman nearly kills him but only because the symboite is trying to convince him to do it. Spidey of course realizes the symboite is corrupting him and he remembers his late uncle's words with great power, comes great responsibility. Spiderman stops and webs him up for the police to take in. Peter may hate this man, but he could never sink to his level.
Desmond Harrington as Stan Carter/Sin Eater
The Sin Eater is actually reason we have Venom in the comics. So I think this film should give fans the more faithful story they wanted to see on the big screen, only difference is Eddie Brock already Venom in the beginning of the film. Stan Carter is a sergeant police officer former SHIELD agent as well, and the ex boyfriend to Jean DeWolff. Stan is alcoholic and suffers from depression. Due to all his problems, he starts going crazy and becomes a religious nutcase and than adapts the name Sin-Eater and vows to kill all the sinners of society in the name of god. Sin Eater would be secondary villain in the film.
So that's my cast for a Spiderman VS Venom and here are my ideas for the movie.
1. Let's See Spider-Man wear the Black Suit.
As we know Spider-Man 3 failed to deliver a Black suit Spiderman that was suppose to be darker, tougher, and more aggressive, but instead we got this....
This scene pretty much killed Toby Magurie's career.
Now knowing Marvel Studios and Sony they would want to get it right this time, lets say at one point during the movie, during a fight with Spiderman and Venom. The symboite abandons Brock and joins with Spiderman. When Spiderman gets the suit he at first doesn't like but it makes him stronger and faster so he starts to like it but Peter starts turning into a jerk. Like he's awful to his girlfriend, his friends, and his aunt like he should have been in Spiderman 3, not having this emo look or pulling a Saturday night fever strike! Peter eventually gets help from the Fantastic Four and Mr. Fantastic finds out the suit is an alien and is trying to take control of Spiderman. So Peter breaks free from the symboite only this time its not from a bell from a church, instead he gets help from Fantastic Four. The symboite later escapes the Baxter Building and rejoins with Brock and this also how Brock gets the white spider symbol and he finds out Peter Parker is Spiderman.
2. Why does Eddie Brock go to New York?
That is a good question why would Eddie Brock be in New York, well because it's likely I could see the character going on the run. Like if the Venom movie ends with him deciding he has to leave his home and he wants to protect his wife because he doesn't trust the symboite. So Eddie goes to New York and he gets a job working at the Daily Bugle. He meets Peter Parker who by this time is in grade eleven, and Peter's got a job working at the bugle selling photos of Spiderman. Peter and Eddie should start out as friends, but like the comics they become enemies, well later frienmies. At one point in the film Eddie gets the wrong information about who the Sin Eater is and he gets fired from daily bugle after Spiderman brings in the real Sin Eater. Eventually Spiderman breaks free of the symboite and goes back to Eddie Brock. Eddie finds out Peter Parker is Spiderman and now he wants revenge.
3. Let see Peter and Eddie relationship go from friends to enemies.
One thing the film should do is let Peter and Eddie get to know each like they start out as friends. Eddie is a journalist and Peter wants to get into that career and Eddie gives him tips on how to do that kind of stuff. Now when Spider-man meets Venom they fight and they don't like each other. Peter views Venom as dangerous foe who has no right to kill anyone despite their crimes. Eddie views Spiderman as a coward who can't do what's need to be done like taking al life of a criminal.
4. Maybe set up Venom to join The Thunderbolts or The Secret Avengers.
Now I know Flash Thompson was Venom in The Secret Avengers and Thunderbolts comics (also Mac Garden was Venom and he was part of The Thunderbolts and The Dark Avengers.) Still it would be interesting to see Eddie Brock's Venom join a team. Like imagine seeing him as member of an Avengers or Thunderbolts would be pretty damn cool. I think Eddie Brock could become Agent Venom instead of Flash Thompson.
5. Show Eddie Brock's obsession with the symboite.
One thing the film should dive into is Eddie's obsession with the symboite because in the comics we've seen him go crazy without it. In the film when Spider-Man has the black suit Eddie knows it's the symboite because the symboite abandons Brock because it wanted to join with Spiderman. The symboite believes Spider-Man is stronger than Brock. We see Eddie Brock struggle without the symboite, Eddie starts going crazy, he's more angry, and hates Spiderman more now for having the symboite. The symboite does return to Brock and they both go after Peter and his friends. At the end of the film Peter tells Eddie what Tony Stark told him "If you're nothing without the suit, than you shouldn't have it." This would make Eddie take more control of the symboite and we see Eddie basically not being the symboite's slave but making the symboite his equal.
These two characters got to meet and have a proper fight.
TH VS TH!!!!
Oh yeah, I forgot Bagman would make his big film debut in this LOL! Also Spiderman would make his copy of the black suit because he still liked the look of it and it's such a cool costume too.
