Superman Soft Reboot Movie Cast

My Superman Soft Reboot Cast and ideas

So as we know there's been no word on if we're getting a new Superman film by DC and WB. Now as everyone knows but doesn't Henry Cavil has dropped out of the role but hey he's going to play Geralt in the Witcher tv show. So with Henry what does this mean for the character like WB and DC announced there's a Supergirl movie happening now. It's likely to fill in the void since we aren't getting a Superman film for a while. Now I am hoping along with many others for DC to get their shit together and give us a great Superman film. To be honest, in my opinion, I think all this happening is because of how Zack Synder handles the character. We all know it, didn't turn out well. Especially the CGI mustache ugh. That's not all I hear Ben Affleck is dropping out too, but hey Jon Hamm wants to take over so yeah that could be the good replacement but if you've seen my Batman cast I feel like Aidan Turner would be a great younger Batman and Jon Hamm would be a great older Batman.

First I have to say four-part movie arc idea and here are my titles for it.
The first film would be called Superman Reborn, The second film would be called Superman: Man of Tomorrow, the Third film would be called Superman Doomsday, and the final film would be Superman Reign of the Supers.

Now here is my cast and ideas for a Superman Reboot film series.

Now I personality liked Henry Cavil as Superman the only problem was his Superman was written as a downer, and so negative because Zack clearly didn't understand what this character means to people. Superman is a positive, confident character, never gives up, and he is a symbol of hope for all humanity. Henry's Superman wasn't like that at all. Before I named the actor who can replace Henry first want to say no to Michael B Jordan because I think he's better suited for John Stewart or if WB and DC adapted the Earth 2 comics into a film series than yeah he can play Val Zod the Superman of Earth 2.

Here my candidates for the next Superman. Armie Hammer, David Giuntoil, Colin O'Donoghue, Richard Madden, and Zac Efron.
Now to be honest I'm sure some of these guys would do a good job playing the character but I can only go with one to me that person....David Giuntoil!

David Giuntoil as Clark Kent/Superman
I think David Giuntoil would be a great Superman he's got the right look, he's a great actor and I just think he's the right replacement for Henry Cavil. If they do a reboot they need to make Superman more positive and confident. Another thing is that the character knows he can't save everyone and he accepts that but vows he always try to help people as best he can.

Next is Lois Lane and to be honest I didn't like Amy Adams as Lois Lane. I felt she was miscast as the role and it's not because of her age, like Amy Adams is very talented actress loved her in The Fighter but she's not Lois Lane to me. Heres my candidates for Lois Lane. Emmy Rossum, Emma Watson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Anna Kendrick.
I think these actresses would all do a fine job playing Lois Lane hell, they be better than Amy Adams. I can only go with one and that would have to be....Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum as Lois Lane
I think Emmy would be great Lois Lane and she's awesome in Shameless. She's to me the right choice and she's got that Lois Lane feel to me. In a reboot make Lois more like her comic counterpart and take inspiration from the animated series Lois Lane too. Also the film would focus more on developing her romantic relationship with Clark Kent and she finds out Clark is Superman in the first film. The third film Clark and Lois would get married and forth film would have the birth of John Kent aka the current Superboy in the comics.

Michael C Hall as Lex Luther
Now we can all agree that Jesse Eisenberg was a horrible as Lex Luthor like he was completely miscast as the role. If Eisenberg was playing the Riddler then that would have been a solid casting choice. Michael C Hall to me can pull off a great Lex Luthor. One thing for certain DC and WB need to do is make Lex Luther a powerful, brilliant, but dangerous man who's goal is to take down Superman because his eyes Superman is the villain. None of us want to see a Mark Zuckberg Lex Luthor that was a horrible idea. Lex Luthor would not be the villain in the first film but he would be the main villain in the second film. In first film he's just a business man who doesn't like Superman and tries to tell the people that Superman is threat to society.

Calum Worthy as Jimmy Olson
Yes Jimmy is played a Ginger actor lol. Jimmy's role would be basically he looks up to Superman and he brings laughs to film. Jimmy is the funny character but he's a cool guy. Clark and Jimmy are best friends in the film and Jimmy is Lois's camera man.

Greg Kinnear as Perry White
Perry White is the in film as usual. Perry is the editor and chief of the daily planet.

Bernard David Jones as Ron Troupe
Ron Troupe is a journalist at the daily planet and friends with Clark, Lois, and Jimmy. Ron is in a  relationship with Lois's sister Lucy.

Kelli Goss as Lucy Lane
Lucy Lane is Lois's little sister and a flight attendant. Lucy's goal is to join the airforce like her father Sam Lane. Lucy and Ron Troupe are a couple in the film.

Jamie Chung as Mercy Graves
Lex's personal bodyguard.

Emma Stone as Lana Lang
Clark's friend from Smallvile also ex girlfriend. Lana knows Clark is Superman and often speaks out for him against Lex's allegations against him. Lana would be in relationship with John Henry Irons.

Trevante Rhodes as John Henry Irons/Steel
Yes Steel would be in the reboot films, but he wouldn't become Steel till the second film and the forth film he dons on the red cape. Don't worry this Steel won't be like this one...
This Steel is more like the comic book counterpart and he would be like Sam Wilson aka the Falcon of DC Cinematic Universe. Not to mention John and Lana Lang are in the romantic relationship.

Lilly Reinhart as Kara Zor El/Supergirl
Clark's cousin from Krypton and Supergirl. Now WB and DC has announce a Supergirl movie is now in the works and DC are using that film to fill in the void with no Superman movie coming out. I was hoping they would have Henry Cavil be in Supergirl as a supporting character but that's not happening. Supergirl would appear in the second or third film because since their is a movie about her already being made I guess they could add her in one of those or have a Superman cameo in the film. I don't what DC's plans are but lets face it DC and WB needs to get their act together. Hopefully Aquaman and Shazam and Wonder Woman 84 also that Joker film will change all that and we get better films now.

Dylan Sprayberry as Conner Kent/Superboy
Conner Kent is a clone of Superman with Lex Luthor DNA. He was created to replace after Superman was killed off by Doomsday. The character would be introduce in the end of the third film and would have a huge role in the forth film. I know this is the actor who played the young Clark Kent in Man of Steel but that picture of him on the left to me that who is I want as Superboy.

Jacob Tremblay as John Kent/Superboy II
Now John would be in the forth film as baby but I would do a time skip and show him as kid and he is now the new Superboy.

Kate Mckinnon as Captain Maggie Sawyer
Captain Maggie Sawyer is the captain of the Metropolis Police Department.

Nick Offerman as Detective Dan Turpin
Dan is a detective in the Metropolis Police Department.

Amanda Seyfried as Cat Grant
Cat is a reporter for the daily planet and also a news anchor for the daily planet.

Kevin Bacon as Sam Lane
Lois and Lucy's Father and a general in the United States Army and he doesn't like Superman at all believes him to be menace to society.

Michael Fassbender as Brainiac
Brainiac is a Superman villain every fan wants to see on the big screen! Now since they announce a Supergirl movie a rumour has come up that Brainiac will be the villain in the film, but I hope it's not true just because I really want Superman to fight Brainiac. Brainiac would be the main villain in the first film. Brainiac's goal in the first film is destroy all of the humans of earth and take their cities as part of his collection of cities. Brainiac is one of the reasons Krypton got destroyed, this would be very good reason why Superman wants to stop him.

Andrew Lincoln as Hank Henshaw/The Cyborg Superman
Hank Henshaw is basically a parody of Reed Richards I'm just putting that out there. Cyborg Superman would be the villain in the forth Superman film. Hank Henshaw hates Superman because he blames him for the death of his wife, his wife's brother, and his best friend. Like I said before he is parody of Reed Richards.

Bizarro
Bizarro would be the secondary villain in the second film and since Bizarro is a twist version of Superman. David Giuntoil would likely play him too but just for motion capture. Lex Luthor creates a clone of Superman that ends up being Bizarro and Lex uses him to make it look like Superman is committing horrible crimes. Bizarro is basically dumb but he's misguided.

Eradicator
A robot that look likes Superman who active after Superman's death. Eradicator would be played by David Giuntoil.

Doomsday mostly CGI character.
Doomsday would be the main villain in the third film he doesn't talk but he is most dangerous villain Superman ever faces. Doomsday destroys whatever is in his way and he's called the ultimate weapon. Doomsday is actually from Krypton and was experiment by a mad scientist who wanted to make the ultimate weapon but it back fired and Doomsday has since been going around destroying planets.

Now here some ideas for a soft reboot of Superman.

8. Let's make a Batman and Superman movie but it's own stand alone movie.
Now we all know what happened when these two characters were on big screen together it was a disaster with stupid dialogue and horrible storytelling! But I still want to see a proper Batman/Superman team-up film, which I recommend WB and DC do a Batman/Superman team-up film that is a stand alone. Were they team up and not fight each other, like they may have disagreements on certain topics but the two respect each other a lot. We need to see proper team up with these two and there's no "Martha!!!" "Why did you say that name?!?!?" Ugh makes me cringe every-time I hear it.

7. Include the Justice League in the third film which would be Doomsday.

Have Justice League in the third film because the third film would be proper and more faithful the death and return of Superman film. We would see the Justice League help Superman fight Doomsday and we would see them all at his funeral. Also if DC decides to do a soft reboot of Justice League. I highly recommend they reintroduce them in the style of the New 52 origin with some influence from Scott Synder's current run.

6. Kill off Pa Kent and Ma Kent.
All right, I know some of you are thinking really kill off the Kents? Look it's just current comic series both of them are dead and I think we've seen enough of the Kents. However in the comics and I would put this in the first film we see a scene where Clark goes to his senior prom and when he gets dropped off, John and Martha are driving home until their car hit by a drunk driver and Clark hears this he tries to save them but it's too late. John final words to Clark were not to give up and always try to help those in need. This scene would show even with his powers he couldn't save his parents, but he will always remember his father's last words and vows to him and his mother, he would never give up and try to help all with his powers. Still a lot better than letting Pa Kent died in that tornado-like seriously Clark could have just run like an athlete or something and save Pa Kent just like that.

5. Don't retell the origin story.
Don't retell Superman's origin we all know it. Look at the movie Spiderman Homecoming that movie was the third reboot of Spiderman franchise after Sony and Disney made a deal to share Spiderman they let Marvel Studios take over and Marvel Studios didn't retell his origin they just already establish him in the MCU because everyone knows Spiderman's origin. So yeah Clark would already be established as Superman. Just focus on Superman trying to save people and learning more about the character.

4. Take Inspiration from the Captain America Trilogy.
Superman should the Captain America of the DC Cinematic Universe and I would say take inspiration from the Captain America films.

3. Make it light hearted, feel good, epic, and fun movie to watch.
One thing WB and Zack Synder got wrong with Superman are in the films they made it dark and more grounded. That's not what Superman should be. He's not Batman! You can do that with Batman but not with Superman. Now I know WB and DC are now making their films more light-hearted and fun to watch Superman needs that treatment next. For a Superman film make it a more fun movie where we are at the edge of our seats and it's also a feel-good film that shows us to always try to help people and be a good person. That is what we need in a Superman film and look at Shazam next year that movie looks like it will be good because it's going to be a fun movie.  That's just what I think the next Superman film should be more light-hearted and just a good movie.
The Shazam movie is what a Superman film should be like.

2. Give us an actual Lex Luthor not Mark Zuckerberg.
Another thing WB and Zack Synder got wrong was Lex Luthor. He's not a hipster, Zuckerberg, who has high pitch voice, or basically the love child of Lex and The Joker. We need a Lex Luthor more faithful to the comics and is actually an interesting villain and you understand his point of view. Lex Luthor would be that guy who believes he's the hero and he views Superman as the threat to humanity. Lex has some redeeming qualities because the character has redeemed himself over the years in the comics. In the third film which will have Doomsday some of you already know where this idea is going. Lex decides to honour Superman by cloning a younger version of him that is Conner Kent aka Superboy but with Lex's DNA in the mixed. We need to make Lex Luthor are a great villain like he is in the comics.

1. Give us a Superman who is positive, fun, and never gives up.
The most important thing of all is to make Superman, Superman. Superman is positive person who never gives up and always help people in need. He's not downer, emo, and thinks he's not doing a good job. What Superman should is a character who doesn't give up and believes in hope. Superman also knows he can't save everyone and accepts that but he will always try his best to help people no matter. That is a Superman we can grow to love and care for. Now just for the record he does have personal problems like everyone else he's lost people close to him, he's the last son of Krypton, he tries manage his relationship with Lois Lane, and he has a responsibility to Justice League as it's leader.
One thing, I want to see get adapted is this scene from Superman All Star were a teenage girl named Regan is going to kill herself and Superman stops her from doing it. He says to her "You're doctor really did get held up, Regan. It's never as bad as it seems. You're much stronger than you think you are. Trust me." That scene is just amazing, inspiring, and heartwarming. We need to see this scene happen on film because it could show people to not give up on life and that is what Superman is a symbol of hope for everyone.

Director choice Matthew Vaughn
He's the right choice.
These are my ideas and my casting choices for a Superman soft reboot film series. Let me know what you think, leave a comment, and super great day.
