Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Review.
So, I saw Sonic the Hedgehog this weekend, and here's my review. I loved it. This was a great film, and it broke the video game curse adaption. I had a great time with this film. This is the best Sonic film yet, and it makes up for the Knuckles spin-off show. The film is basically adapting Sonic Adventure 2, and it's a good adaptation.
Shadow the Hedgehog makes his big screen adaptation. I have to tell you, Keanu Reeves is hands down the best casting choice for this character; he was born to play Shadow.
The film is set after Sonic 2 and Knuckles, where Sonic and his friends live their best lives with Tom and Maddie until GUN needs them to deal with Shadow, who is basically Sonic if he was raised by pain and suffering. The film has great action and funny moments like with Knuckles and Tails. I laugh so hard when Tails gets called Piakchu. There is a Smash Bros project in the works. The film is darker than the last two because we meet Eggman's grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, who wants to destroy. If you played Sonic Adventure 2, you know why he wants to destroy the world for revenge.
The film's cast does a great job, and I feel like everyone is perfectly cast as their characters. It's good seeing Jim come back as Eggman and Gerald. He did a great job playing both characters.
This film had great action, and you'll love it if you're a Sonic fan. They play Live and Learn, and wow, it's epic. This film was great. I can't wait for my Sonic films, and I hope we get a Shadow spin-off film or series. This film is the best of all the Sonic films, and I give it a 9 out of 10. That's right; the video game adaption curse is over, thanks to Sonic, and it's all because the fans hated that awful original design. Listen to your audiences because they are the most passionate about these characters.
Go see this film, and you will have a great time.
