Wicked Review
So, I saw Wicked over the weekend, and here is my review of it. I loved it. I had a great time with this movie, and the songs in this film are great and get stuck in your head. The film is basically from the Wicked Witch of the West's point of view, and we see her origin and how she wasn't evil, just misunderstood. Now, off-topic, I know many people are annoyed with sympathetic villain stories, but this film does a great job because you do feel for the Wicked Witch. The friendship between Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, is well written. You feel for these two as they became enemies but became best friends/sisters. This film had great visual effects, the setting designs were great, and the music was fantastic. The film's cast, including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Jeff Goldblum, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, and Marissa Bode, did a great job. This film was wickedly awesome, and I'm excited for part 2 next year. This is one of the best movies I've seen this year. I give Wicked 8 out of 10. Go see it!
