Mario Bros Galaxy Review

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Review

So I played Super Mario Galaxy. Here is my review: Overall, it was good. I had a fun time with it. While it wasn't as good as the first one, I still enjoyed the experience.
First, the animation of the film is fantastic, and the visuals too, as they did a fantastic job with it. There were also some funny moments in the film that made me laugh, and there is so much Nintendo nostalgia in it. The opening of the film, with Mario and Luigi riding motorcycles, was awesome, and when they used the fire flower, I was like, "Awesome.”
Yoshi was one of the best parts of the film, and he's voiced by Donald Glover. Yoshi, you just can't help but love this character, like he's so adorable.
The film's plot is that Mario and Luigi meet Yoshi and adopt him. Later, during Peach's birthday, a star tells them Princess Roslaine has been captured by Bower Jr. Peach and Toad set out to rescue her, while Mario and Luigi stay to protect the Mushroom Kingdom. However, Bower Jr later steals the castle with Mario and Luigi inside so he can save his father, Bower. I also found Toad much funnier in this film, and I think they should have explored his jealousy of Yoshi more, as it was not expanded on.
Bowser Jr. is one of the main villains of the film, and he's pretty cool. He's voiced by Benny Safdie, who does a great job. I love the fight scene between him, Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi.
I'm glad there is more Luigi time in this film, unlike that last one. I hope we get a Luigi's Mansion film after this film.
The relationship between Luigi and Bowser is well developed. Bowser, in particular, delivers a very funny performance.
I had a lot of laughs with Bower in this film, especially with him, Mario, and Luigi. That storyline with them was really funny.
Now, Princess Roslaina appears in the film, but heads up, she's only in it for ten minutes. She was voiced by Brie Larson, who does a great job and is also a big Nintendo fan. I know I criticized Brie Larson for Captain Marvel in the past, but things have changed. She was great as Roslaina and supports video game adaptations. She is awesome in this role, and I hope she gets more screen time in future films or shows.
Never thought I see Wart again.
Now, one of the best moments of the film that made my cousin jump with joy, and as I mentioned, there is a lot of Nintendo nostalgia in this film, like you see Wart from Super Mario Bros 2, Pikmin, ROB, and he is so funny in this film. But the character that stood out was Star Fox.
Fox McCloud appears in the film, voiced by Glen Powell. This was the best moment for me. Seeing Fox return after so many years makes me want a Star Fox movie and a new game. Glen Powell did an amazing job voicing the character, and I want a Star Fox spin-off film after this movie.
I also like how the film is hinting at a Mario and Peach romance. I don't care what Nintendo says, fans still ship them. This movie also reveals a theory about two characters I won't spoil.
Overall, I enjoy this film a lot, though I prefer the first one. The nostalgia aimed at Nintendo fans felt a bit excessive, but I still found the movie enjoyable. The film includes several plotlines; while some critics suggest Galaxy should have been saved for the third instalment, with Super Mario World as the second, after seeing this film, I think it was fine to use Galaxy now. I give this film a 7 out of 10. It's a fun movie, and that's all it needs to be. I had a great time watching it, and if you're a Nintendo fan like me, you'll love this film.
I hope the next film has Daisy, Wario, and Waluigi. Wario and Waluigi could be the main bad guys, while Daisy could appear as Luigi's love interest. Maybe Mario and Luigi would have to rescue Peach from Wario and Waluigi.
Also, I do want to see a Luigi's Mansion film; we are getting a Donkey Kong Spin-off (Donkey Kong makes a cameo, but he's not in the film), a Yoshi spin-off, a Princess Peach spin-off, and of course, Star Fox.  I do hope we get a Smash Bros film someday in the future because next year we are getting Zelda.
