Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Review

My Sonic The Hedgehog Review.

So I saw Sonic The Hedgehog and here is my review of it....It's actually pretty good. Like it's not great but it's a fun movie to watch. Like the story is good but the story does have issues, however it's still a very fun movie to watch. The cast did a good job like Ben Schwartz he nailed it as Sonic, Jim Carrey he is hands down the best thing in the whole film like he was funny, very entertaining to watch, and he is the best part in the entire film. The rest of the cast James Marsden and Tika Sumpter they were great too in the film. The special effects were really good too in the film.
Jeff Fowler listen to fans and it was smart that he delayed the film and re design Sonic's look.

Now I want to give a big shout out to the director of this film Jeff Fowler mainly because he listen to the fans criticism towards that awful first design for Sonic. He listen to fans unlike today's directors who call fans sexist, racist, or toxic for their opinions on the film's story or characters. Jeff understood why fans hated it and he agreed that the design was bad. He and his crew made a better design for the character and it works. Sonic's design is much better and it looks like Sonic that old design was something out of Cats film. Jeff Fowler he did good job making this film and I got a lot of respect for the guy.

Overall I had fun with this film it's a good film it's not great but its a fun movie and that's all it needs to be. I give Sonic The Hedgehog a 7 out of 10. If you're a Sonic Fan you will either love this film or have issues with it. All the same it's a fun movie give it watch you'll have a good time with it.

Who knows maybe this film along with Detective Pikachu might set up
a Nintendo Cinematic Universe. Because the film does reference a Mushroom world so
anything can happen and there is a Mario Bros film in the works so again anything happen.
Just make sure you have the right type of people working on it.

What Sony should do with the Uncharted film.

What Sony should do with the Uncharted Film?

Now as some of you may or may not know I'm huge Uncharted fan I love Uncharted, it's one of my favourite video game series. It's got great voice acting, great gameplay, a great storytelling, great graphics, and Nathan Drake is the modern day Indiana Jones.  Now back in 2008 Sony announced they would be making an Uncharted film which many fans were mixed about some like the idea it could this generation's Indiana Jones but as you know many fans don't like the idea of a film mainly because well you know the video game adaptions suck! Except for a few.

Now the Uncharted film has been development since 2008 it has lost six directors. I will write that again six directors! Despite casting Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Sully this film has so many directors and it's been delayed again and again.

Here is the list of the six directors who left the project over creative differences or scheduling conflicts.
1. David O'Russell
2. Neil Burger
3. Seth Gordon
4. Shawn Levy
5. Dan Trachtenberg
6. Travis Knight
All six of these guys would have all likely done a good job or maybe not. I'm more disappointed about Travis Knight leaving because he fixed the Transformers Film Series with Bumblebee. I think that's a huge lost there the others I feel would have done a good job but two I feel may not have been the right ones for the job. It's almost as if this film is cursed or something for loosing this many directors. However, we've gotten reports that Ruben Fleischer is in talks to step as director of the film.
Now hopefully Ruben won't drop out of the film because if he does I don't know what Sony will do with this film.

Here's the link to the video.
Nolan North the voice of Nathan Drake once said fans don't want a film of Uncharted. He makes a fair point in the interview, like the games are perfect the way they are sure a movie could be cool but the problem is they would have to cut stuff out, add new stuff that fans won't like. Video game adaptions are hard I mean I am excited for the Mortal Kombat reboot film, Castlevaina season three, and I would love to see the Legend of Zelda get adapted either as a movie or a tv series animated or live action just as long as it's good.

Personally I like these two actors they are amazing and talented but I'm mixed about who their playing.

I will say I do like the idea that the film is an origin story instead of Sony adapting the first game. It could work like I do want this film to be good and fun I want it to be the next Indiana Jones of this decade because to be honest I don't trust Lucasfilm with Indiana Jones with you know who in charge unless it's Jon or Dave in charge. Now the casting I feel mixed like Tom Holland as Drake you know what's funny I met Nolan North twice in my life and I said to him "So Drake, I hear Spiderman is going to play you in the film." and he said "Ah, whatever." we had a good talk about the film. Nolan North is a really nice guy, he's very cool, and he's also really funny too. Mark Wahlberg as Sully I like that casting I mean lot of people wanted him to play Drake but he's too old now to do it. Sully is a fan favourite so it's the next best thing for him.

Will this film ever get made or should Sony just make another game or a tv series instead.

Now what I think needs to happen if this film faces more problems or delays. I think maybe Sony should cancel the film and make a TV Series instead. Now for record I would love to see a film of Uncharted as long as it has the right people involved and I do like the idea of an origin story but this film has been in development since 2008.

Now I do feel a TV series could work out better I mean look at The Boys before it was a tv series many people wanted to make into a film franchise like there were so many attempts to make a Boys film. However, the studio decided that TV series would work out better because they can flush out the characters more and add more to the story. A tv series could work better but that would also mean Tom and Mark wouldn't make the show because they are both busy actors with a lot of films in the works but anything can happen.

So I would say make a tv series or you know Sony you could just leave the series alone and make something more original. How about an adventure film that is inspirited by Uncharted that could just be as cool. I prefer original ideas now a days but I don't know it would be interesting to write something more original instead adapting something nostalgia and your re living those childhood moments but in a new style as an adult. But in truth you will not like what they do with it though it's a natural feeling because in your mind that's not how you pictured it.
Now this Uncharted movie if it happens, it happens but if they were to cancel it I would say make a tv series instead. In fact just for fun here is my fan cast for a tv series of Uncharted incase the film gets cancelled or if the film doesn't do well with critics and the box office.

Now for the tv series I would actually have the first season be Drake's Fortunate and Eye of Indra merge into one season. My reasons for that is I'm doing this chronically and the next seasons would Among Thieves, Drake's Deception, and Thief's End. I would do a total of four seasons like the games were four games and that's it. As well for a young Nathan Drake, a young Samuel Drake, and Cassie Drake I would just go with unknowns for the roles.  Also I will cast Drake's mom and dad in the show as well I wrote on who Drake's dad was.

Joe Dempise as Nathan Drake

Halston Sage as Elena Fisher

Nathan Fillion as Victor Sully Sullivan

Naomi Scott as Chole Frazer

Ali Faz as Eddy Raja

Tina Desai as Rika Raja

Jason Issac as Gabriel Roman

Juan Pablo Raba as Atoq Navarro

Alfie Allen as Harry Flynn

Ray Stevenson as Zoran Lazarevic

John Cho as Tenzin

Malcolm McDowell as Karl Schafer

Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaige as Draza

Johnny Simmons as Jeff

Ed Skrein as Charlie Cutter

Kate Ashfield as Katherine Marlowe

Richard Rankin as Talbot

Faran Tahir as Ramses

Haaz Sleiman as Salim

Charlie Cox as Samuel Drake

Letitia Wright as Nadine Ross

Toby Kebbell as Rafe

Antonio Baanderas as Hector Alcazar

Pepe Rapazote as Vargas

Enrique Murciano as Gustavo

Billy Brown as Jameson

Susan Sanderson as Evelyn

Jensen Ackles and Sarah Lancaster as Samuel Morgan and Cassandra Morgan.
These two characters would appear in the final season we would get to know Drake's Parents in flashbacks. We already know his mom Cassandra Morgan was archaeologist and a historian who  worked for a woman named Evelyn. She killed herself due to illness but she believed that her family were descendants of Sir Francis Drake. In the end of Thief's End, Drake and Elena have a daughter named Cassie in honour of his mother.
Now we don't know much about Drake's dad we just assume that's he's dead now but I wrote my own take on Drake's dad. For instance, he was a solider in the army, he taught both his sons how to aim and shoot a gun which would explain why Drake knows how to use guns, he was good dad and good husband, he had bad fights with Samuel who was named after him but deep down they did love each other, he also take his family rock claiming once every week, and he died in battle saving a group of people from a bomb. His death hit his wife and sons very hard which is another reason for Cassandra's suicide because the death of her husband broke her. That's how I would write Drake's dad I wouldn't make him a deadbeat dad I make him a good guy who deserves some love too like Drake's mom.

That's my article on what Sony should do with Uncharted franchise and if they go forward with the film all I can say is good luck. Also hope you enjoyed my fan cast for an Uncharted TV Series because I stand by a tv series might be a better approach for the series instead of the film. We will just have to wait and see what this film does. Leave a comment and tell me what you think.
