Pacific Rim Uprising Review

My Pacific Rim Uprising Movie Review.

So I saw Pacific Rim last night and here's my review of it...its good movie. I mean it's not as good as the first one, but it's all right. It's meant to be a fun movie and the effects and visuals are really good and the action was good too. This film is still better than any of the Transformers movies we've gotten in the past couple years.

The story and cast.

The story takes place ten years after the first one Charlie Hunnam isn't in this one but hey if there is a third one maybe he'll be in it. They bring some of the main cast back from the first one and we have a new cast for this new film. The film focuses on John Boyega's character Jake Pentecost who's basically the guy who doesn't see himself taking over for his father and being a great hero like he was. Now I'm not going into full details about the story because I want you to see it for yourselves. The cast was good I mean the new cast like John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, and Adria Arjona we're entertaining to watch. The film itself is just a fun movie and for what its worth I rather watch this movie more than watch any of the Transformers movies. At least I can tell the director Steven Mcknight put a lot of effort into this film and to write a story.

I will say the Jaegers were really cool but this film is at is just fun movie with robots fighting monsters. I give this film C+. Still I rather watch Pacific Rim films over Transfomers at least.

A Wrinkle In Time Review

My reveiw of A Wrinkle In Time.

So I saw A Wrinkle In Time and here's my review of it...Its ok, it's not mind-blowing or anything it is just an okay movie. I call this year's John Cartner like was a lot of hype for it but it didn't succeed to its expectations. I will say the film visuals are amazing and the cast was good but the story was kind of meh. The director of the movie Ave DuVernay and she great director but this film was not her best. I will say, Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling was the only best thing about the movie.  Still, this movie is okay it's on the same level with John Carter. I give this film a C-.

This is a short review of A Wrinkle In Time by the way, my shortest one yet.

My X MEN MOVIE CAST AND CREW

My Cast and Crew for an MCU X MEN Story.

The original five X Men Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Beast, and Iceman.

Now the film would focus on the original X Men and be somewhat of coming of age and accepting of who you are. If there is to be the main character it's Cyclops he is the main character because we all know how Fox has screwed up this character. Still, like the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, everyone in the film gets a good amount of screen time and doesn't get wasted except for Quicksilver, because the one thing that Fox annoys me with is they never focus enough on the X Men. They often focus more on Wolverine or Mystique and you could argue that the Avengers movies and Guardians of the Galaxy movies focus more on Captain America, Iron Man, and Starlord but they at least give everyone shines out and makes you want to see more of the supporting characters.

Sadly no Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch founding memebers.
The villains in the film would be the Brotherhood that includes Magento, Toad, Pyro, Avalanche, Mastermind, and since Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have already been introduced in the MCU and in the comics they are not Magento's children anymore, so in their place are Havok and Polaris. Polaris is still Magento's daughter so having her fill in as Scarlet Witch makes sense and having Havok as a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants makes sense for the film like Mastermind rewrote Alex's memories making him forget his brother Scott resulting in them becoming enemies.

Better this than a Pietro and Wanda incest
just like in the ultimate universe.

So here's my choice of directors for this film its hard to pick which one here are my top five for an MCU X MEN.

Duncan Jones known for Moon, Warcraft, and has upcoming new film called Mute
Ava Duvernay known for Selma, The 13th, and she was going to direct Black Panther.
Jonathan Levine known for 50/50, Warm Bodies, and The Night Before
David Yates known for the Harry Potter movies, Fantastic Beasts, and he was consider to direct Man of Steel.
Doug Liman known for Edge of Tomorrow and the Bourne Identity
I would either go with Duncan Jones, Jonathan Levine or Ava Duvernay. I know Duncan made Warcraft and that sucked but hey every director even the great ones have their bad movie once in while. Ava is also a good choice because Xavier and Magento we're based on Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X so I think she a be a solid choice. She made Selma and that movie was amazing, I definitely could see her making an X Men film and she was going to make Black Panther but turn it down. She would be an interesting choice as a director of an X Men film. The reason for Jonathan Levine is because Marvel often does go with Indie filmmakers and he was a contender to direct Spiderman Homecoming. I think he would be a good choice, even though he does more comedy films, but Jon Watts who direct Spiderman Homecoming made a crappy horror film called Clown and he still did a great job with Spiderman Homecoming.

Proudcer of the film as always the man who has made Marvel awesome KEVIN FEGIE!
Now as we all know Kevin has wanted to make an X Men film and he would give us one of the best X Men films ever. He said before how much he wants X Men and Fantastic Four back with Marvel and I agree with him.

Now for the cast!

Matt Smith as Professor X

First the founder of the X Men Charles Xavier aka Professor X. Now just for the record Patrick Stewart and James Mcavoy are amazing Professor X. Patrick Stewart will always be Xavier and he was amazing in Logan. James is also great too, but if Marvel Studios were to reboot the character they would want to do their version of Professor X as well their version of the X Men, X Force, X Factor, The New Mutants, and Alpha Flight. If I had to pick an actor I would go with Matt Smith aka Dr. Who. I can totally see Matt Smith playing Xavier he's got the right voice and Matt wants to play a Marvel character I think this would be the perfect character for him. Xavier would play like he always has the father figure and mentor of the X Men like the comics he has a strong bond with Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Beast, and Ice Man. When he hears Magneto planning to conquer the human race and he decides to train his top five best students and have them protect a world that fears them.

     Charlie Rowe as Cyclops
Now right now Tye Sheridan is Cyclops and to be honest he's a good actor and hopefully, he'll get his chance to shine in Dark Phoenix. Charlie actually auditioned for Cyclops for X Men Apocaplyse but he lost it Tye and he auditioned for Spiderman and lost it to Tom. Now unlike the other X Men films were done by Fox, Cyclops is the main character of the film. Scott has dealt with a lot of bad stuff in his life he lost his family and he's down on himself because he doesn't know what to do with his life. It isn't until he meets Xavier who becomes a father figure to him and when he goes to Xavier school. He struggles at first until he meets Jean who gives him confidence and makes more positive about himself. The two grow have the romantic relationship he is also introduced to Beast, Ice Man, and Angel. Scott and Hank become fast friends and Hank builds him his visor to help control his power, Scott and Bobby have the buddy relationship and will often watch each other's back, and Scott and Warren don't get along at first they start out as rivals but the two look at past and the two have respect for each other.

Elle Fanning as Jean Grey

Now to be honest I'm not a big fan of Jean Grey but she is one of the founding members and deserves respect. Now in this, she is Charles favorite student but he knows how powerful her telepathic powers are. He secretly helps her control the phoenix that dwells within her. Jean and Scott at first start out as friends until later the two of them start to develop a romantic relationship. She also inspires Scott to be the leader she and Xavier both see he can become. As much as I love Sophie Turner I wasn't a fan of her as Jean, I mean I love her in Game Of Thrones but I don't think she's fit for Jean.

Josh Hutchinson as Hank Mcoy/Beast

Beast in the movie like he was in the other movies is the smart guy of the group but he won't be turning blue for a while. At first all of students I assumed he would be named leader of the team but he had no interest in becoming a leader.

Dacre Montgomery as Warren Worthington

Let's be honest Angel has been wasted by Fox even after X Men Apocaplyse. In this story, though Angel has a bigger role he acts more cocky bastard, who wants to party, show off, and be the best. But, deep down he wants to be accepted by his father for who he is. He's got daddy issues.

Timothee Chalamet as Bobby Drake/Iceman
Ice Man is the youngest in the group and he is also the fun kid but one of the struggles is not just telling his parents he is a mutant and he's gay. This version of Ice Man will be gay like in the comics.

Matthew Goode as Magneto

Dylan Sparayberry as Alex Summers/Havok

 Kerris Dorsey as Polaris

Christian Camargo as Mastermind

Jason Mitchell as Toad

 Jaremy Allen White as Pryo

Kellan Lutz as Avalanche

So that's my cast for an MCU X MEN film share you're thoughts what do you think and if have any suggests for casting for other X Men too let me know. As you may know or not Disney is now owns Fox so anything but Fox has alrady annonce more X Men films on the way so it may take a while. Someday I hope we do get an MCU X MEN film someday because look at this video.
