My Top Four Best Video Games

My Top 5 Best Video Games of 2023

Now I haven't done a video game reviews in awhile so here is my top 5 best video games of this year.

4. Super Mario Wonder

Super Mario Wonder is a great family game and who doesn't love Mario and I love how you can play as any of Mario's friends in the game.

3. Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2 was a great game but it still had it's issues and some stuff it didn't need to be there but overall it's a good game. Still don't like Mary Jane's look in the game I just hated it and some of the side quests were kind of bad.

2. Balur's Gate 3

I've been enjoying Baldur's Gate 3 and I'm not surprise this won best game of the year. It's really fun to play and the companions are really cool.

1. Zelda Tears of a Kingdom
As a huge Zelda fan I have to pick Tears of a Kingdom. This was a great Zelda game and I just loved the open world, the temples, and the voice acting was fantastic. To me this was the best game of 2023.

Best Films and Worst Films and Shows of 2023 Update

The Best and Worst Films and Shows of 2023
(Updated)

Heres another top best and worst films of 2023 starting with the best and ending with the last. Now of course this year was bad for Hollywood since the writers and actors strike. However, things might get better or worse depending on what 2024 brings.

Let's begin with the best films of 2023

11. Haunted Mansion

All I can say this is better then the 2003 film and the cast is enjoyable to watch. As well I liked the villain of the film and who doesn't love Danny Devito.

10. Little Mermaid
I have a live-action Disney remake on my list of best films this year. The reason for this is the film was actually good, but don't get me wrong, it's still not as good as the animated one. However, I did like the cast, except Javier wasn't a good choice for Trition, and some of the changes in the story didn't work. Still, it's a pretty good movie.

9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem.
I loved this film and I forgot to include it. This was a great Ninja Turtles film and the animation was great also I can't for the next one with Shredder.

8. The Creator
The Creator was interesting film and the special effects in this movie are fantastic. The cast was great and who doesn't love John David Washington. It's interesting because this film is about AI taking over the world and humans and AI are war with each other but there is a group of humans and AIs that want to live in peace. This was a good SCI FI movie I recommend it.

7. Wonka
I really enjoyed Wonka. It was a great musical, and the cast of this film all did a good job. This was a unique take on Wonka's origin. It's a fun movie for the whole family.

6. The Super Mario Bros Movie
I loved this film, and as a fan of the Mario series, I loved this film. This film did the characters right and is way better than the 1993 film. This film, along with Last of Us, broke the video game adaptation curse. The whole cast in this film did well, even Chris Pratt, but the only one who fell flat was Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. The film had great animation, and I hope we get a sequel and spin-offs like Luigi's Mansion. I'm pissed the Oscars didn't nominate Peaches as one of the best songs this year as best song. Come on, it's way better than Frozen's Let It Go.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
I loved this film, and let's face it, I'm not big on current MCU films, but Vol 3 was fantastic, and I actually cared about the story and characters. This film also made me cry because if you love animals, this movie has a strong theme of animal cruelty. This was a great film to end the Guardians of the Galaxy film trilogy, and they gave everyone a proper send-off this film. I'm excited to see what Gunn has in store with the DCU, and I wish Marvel would make films like this again.

4. Oppenheimer
Now, despite this movie being very long, I still love it, and I just love the line, "Now, I have become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds." Oppenheimer is about the creation of the atomic bomb, and the film has an all-star cast, but despite how big the cast is, Nolan still does a great job and focuses mainly on Oppenheimer, played by Cillian Murphy. This film was great, but I do feel like it dragged on a bit too long. Overall, it is a great film.

3. John Wick Chapter 4
This is another film on how you end a franchise because, let me tell ya, Chapter 4 was awesome. It's the longest John Wick film, and it delivers so much action and a great ending. Who doesn't love Keanu Reeves because he delivers an action-packed epic conclusion to the John Wick Series.

2. Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse
This was the best-animated film of the year. I just love this film. It had fantastic animation, which is how you do a multiverse film. Spider-Verse 2 delivers an epic follow-up film. I really want part 3, but sadly, we haven't gotten it for a while because of studio drama and the strikes. Still, I can't wait for Spider-Verse 3 because the ending makes you want part 3 so badly. Also Marvel takes notes on how to do a multiverse saga from this series.

1. Godzilla Minus One
Godzilla Minus One is the best film of 2023 because it's so well made and was made from a 15-million-dollar budget. The film was made in Japan, and let me tell ya, this is one of the best Godzilla films I've seen. I felt a deep connection with the characters and how it's a story about redemption, family, and honor. Godzilla Minus One is the best film of the year for me.

Now here is the worst movies of 2023

6. Wish
This was Disney's 100th film, and it's a letdown. Some of the songs were good, but this film was a letdown. The original concept was that the star would be a male human and a love interest for Asha. Still, they cut it because we can't have a Disney princess with a love interest. Also, in the original story, Queen Amaya was also supposed to be a villain. We could have gotten a Disney Villain couple, something we have yet to see, but Disney didn't want that because of "pandering."
The original idea would have been much better as well. I remember reading an article where someone pointed out that Disney should have made a Spider-Verse-type movie. That would have been a more astonishing idea for their 100th film, a Spider-Verse-type film. At least Once Upon A Studio was a great short film celebrating 100 years.

5. Dial of Destiny
To be honest I don't think we needed another Indiana Jones film after Crystal Skull. I mean it was great seeing Harrison come back but this film I just feel didn't need to happen because in my opinion Last Crusade is the right ending to Indiana Jones not this film.

4. The Marvels
That musical scene was too hard to watch and despite the Beast cameo this film was bad. I mean I liked Iman Vellani as Ms Marvel but the rest of the film was just bad. Seriously it's time for the MCU to get a reset/reboot because they need to go back to basics by telling good stories, with characters we actually care about.

3. Ant-Man 3
I really hated this film like I hated how Scott was written and most of all I hated how Cassie Lang was written. She was one of the worst characters in the film and she came off so unlikeable especially when she hates on her dad. Whom saved everyone during Endgame. Also the special effects were bad especially with MODOK. This film was terrible just terrible.

2. The Flash
This is actually one of the worst superhero films ever because WB was stupid in not firing that creepy Ezra. The movie was there for no reason and I will Keaton was only good thing about the film everything I didn't care for. I'm so glad we are getting a full reset and whoever they cast as Flash is better than Ezra.

1. Peter Pan and Wendy
This was just horrible like my god this was a horrible film they downgrade Peter Pan, Wendy and it's just an awful film. This was the worst film of 2023 like I couldn't get through it because that's how bad it is.

So that's my top best movies and worst movies. Now here is my top best shows and worst shows. Starting with Best Shows.

5. Wheel of Time Season 2
I found season 2 to be an improvement of season 1, and as someone who reads the Wheel of Time books, I think this show is doing better. Some of the storylines were good, the characters were well-written, and there were changes I didn't like, but hey, we can never get a faithful adaption of a series.
Still, I wouldn't say I like how the show keeps sidelining Rand, the series' protagonist for Moraine. He is the main character of the series. I don't generally like sidling the main character; it just bugs me.

4. Gen V
Gen V was a great spin-off from the Boys and the whole cast of this show were amazing especially like Marie she was one of the best characters in the show.

3. Invincible Season 2
This was only part one of season two, but the animation was great, and I love the multiverse concept. I was even shocked that the writers made Amber, one of the most hated characters from season 1, more likeable. The show creators didn't want to admit it but saw why fans didn't like her and made her likable. Overall, I'm excited for part 2 of season 2.

2. One Piece
This is the first good anime/manga adaption and I got to give credit to Netflix and Oda himself because he saved this live action show. Everyone did a great job but I do understand why some fans don't like some of the changes they made and I understand.

1. The Bear Season 2
Season 2 of The Bear was fantastic like this series is so good and the best episodes was Fishes. It is an incredible episode set during christmas and oh my god it is one of the worst christmas dinners to go too. Bear Season 2 is fantastic.

and the worst shows or should I just say worst show is...

1. Secret Invasion
This is the worst show of 2023, and the worst project the MCU has ever done! I hated how this show ruined Nick Fury; all the characters and the story itself are garbage. This was so bad; Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the animated series, did a better job adapting Secret Invasion. Honestly, this was so bad. One day, we get a proper Secret Invasion adaptation when the MCU gets rebooted and goes back to good storytelling, not pandering.

As well I hated Castlevania Nocturne
This new Castlevania is not as good as the first series like I wrote before and I put this actually as number 2 of worst show this year for me.
Sorry for the quick updates I was sick and I just realize what other projects I forgot to include.

So that's my Best films and Worst and Shows of 2023.
Let me know what you think and Happy New Year!

Wonka Review

My review of Wonka.

So I saw Wonka last night and heres my review of it...I had a fun time with this film. This was a good Wonka Origin film and the musical numbers were great too and the movie has songs from 1971 film. Except it's actually good.

The film is an origin film on how Willy Wonka founded his chocolate factory and how he creates his chocolate. Wonka's origin is an interesting take because in the Johnny Depp Wonka film we learn he became a candy maker because his dad never allowed him to eat candy. In this version, his mom made home made chocolate and he decides when he grows up he's going to become chocolate inventor. In the film Wonka meets a girl named Noodle who wants to find her real family as it's your typical orphan living with an awful care taker storyline. The film is about Wonka helping her and of course her friends escape from the owners who they owe a large debt too.

Personally I love all three of these films and all three of these actors did a great job playing Willy Wonka.

This film had some funny moments and weird moments too. The film I would put on the same level with the 1971 film and as for Timothee Chalamet I feel like he did a good job was Willy Wonka. My girlfriend said he tried to act like a mix between Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp's Wonka. Timothee's Wonka did feel like that a mix of both being smart and witty as Gene and goofy and childish like Johnny. Overall Timothy did a great job and the rest of the cast all did great job like Hugh Grant as Oopa Loompa he was great but I hear he hated playing this character, Cala Lane who played Noodle she was great too, Sally Hawkins as Willy's mom she was great, and the rest of the cast all did a great job.

I really did enjoy this film and I will say this not a spoiler but there is no Charlie or Grandpa Joe in this film. Although personally I would have added a cameo of Grandpa Joe or something. I like this film and I give a 7.8 out of 10. It's a fun musical and you will have the songs stuck in your head. Go see this film.

A Christmas Story Christmas Review

A Christmas Story Christmas Review

So, I saw a Christmas Story Christmas, and here is my review of it...This is how you do a legacy sequel. This was a great film and a proper sequel to a Christmas classic. They brought back the original cast except for the dad because the actor who played him was dead. The original actress died too, and she was recast with Julie Hagerty. The film is about a grown-up Ralphie in the 1970s whose trying to make it as a writer, but when he learns his dad has died. He promises to give his family the perfect Christmas, just like his dad did in the last film. The film does have some nods from the original but only tries to copy it a little. This sequel did its own thing and had some funny moments. As well, there is no subplot of one of Ralphie's kids wanting a special toy because it's focus mainly on Ralphie and his struggles to help his family and make it big as a writer.

40 Years later and Peter Billingsley is still Ralphie.
This film like I mentioned does have nostalgia bait but it's done right.

The cast did a great job, and the kid actors were funny too. This is way better than that awful fake sequel of A Christmas Story. Let's pretend that never happened. I love this film and give it an 8 out of 10. This will be a Christmas classic and a good example of how to do a legacy sequel.

My Top 6 Favourite Family Guy Christmas Episodes.

My Top Five Family Guy
Christmas Episodes.

So with the christmas coming up, here are my top five favorite Family Guy Christmas episodes.

There's always some fat kid sitting on Santa's lap for more than five minutes.

6. A Very Special Family Guy Freakin Christmas
This was the first Family Guy Christmas episode, and it's really funny. So Peter is on Christmas vacation but Lois wants him to do some Christmas chores which he hates because he wants to watch KISS saves Santa and get drunk with his friends. Peter stupidly gives away all the Christmas presents to charity, and he tries to get them back but he fails and Lois is happy but angry at the same time because doing all the shopping again is brutal to deal with it. When their at the mall Stewie meets a mall Santa and agrees to be nice if he gets plutonium. Resulting in this hilarious photo.
Remember to smile like a good boy this year.
This picture had me gut laughing.
I had a great time watching this episode and it was funny at the end when Lois finally freaks out and goes on a rampage. Destroying everything she sees but i

5. The First No L.

So this Christmas episode is about Lois getting fed up with the family because they help set up Christmas unlike her. She leaves the family and stills at motel and thinks they won't do well without her. However, Peter and the family do good this christmas without her and she decides to go grinch on them.
So Lois steals all the presents and detections. One thing I found funny was when Stewie comes downstairs dress up as Cindy Lou Who and Lois like why are you wearing girl's night gown.
I just find it funny she understands him and is like why are you dresses? You're a boy? This episode is really funny, and one of my favourite scenes is when Peter is setting up the nativity scene but it's more woke.
"First ethically accurate Jesus goes right here, followed by Father Mary and Mother Josephine, followed closely by the three genderless wise people on their bird scooters, Tig Notaro for some reason, and finally the little drummer them because god forbid we call a boy a boy." That was funny as hell.

I really enjoy this episode, and the ending was good especially when the family gives Lois a christmas gift despite never knowing she's the one to rob them and she blames on the Turkish uber driver. I found it funny how her heart grows three sizes and she ends up in the hospital. "She's lucky to be alive like no can survive that." Dr. Hartman. I really enjoy this episode give it a watch.

4. How the Griffin stole Christmas.
In this episode Peter fills in as a mall Santa then goes around acting like Santa so he get free things and is loving it. Until the real Santa comes and tells him to knock off. It's really funny and it's even more funny when you see the real Santa come in and tell him to stop pretending to be him. I just found it so funny.
I also like the storyline with Stewie going to Christmas office parties and to be honest, I think all Christmas office parties are like and he enjoys them but he gets a job working and finds out he has to fire people. The ending of the episode is funny because Peter agrees to stop being Santa and he gets a penthouse and Santa says "I had to buy it from a creepy guy on the internet." This episode was funny.

3. The 2000-Year-Old Virgin
This episode is so funny, yet I wasn't surprised if it offended many Christians because Jesus wants to get laid. In the episode, Peter runs into Jesus, and he admits he's never had sex and so Peter and the guts agree to help him get laid. I find it so funny when Peter is on his laptop and Joe notices a picture and he asks Peter. "Peter how old is that girl?" Peter runs away and throws his laptop in a lake and Seamus finds his laptop and other ones. "Argh, more scum in the sea." In the episode Peter fails to help Jesus get laid and when Jesus goes on Speed dating it's so funny.  I especially found it funny when Peter learns that Jesus wants to sleep with Lois. Peter convinces Lois but later he doesn't want her too because that's his wife. Lois reveals she didn't and it turns out Jesus isn't actually a virgin wow I wonder how many people got pissed off with that. The ending was funny because they pulled a Love Actually were Rupert cheated on Stewie with Adam West. Overall this is a great episode but will offend people.

2. Jesus Mary and Joesph
This another family guy episode that pokes fun of the Nativity Story and I love the jokes they make. When Peter tells Lois a lot of his friends are poking holes on how Mary got pregnant. This was a very funny take on the Naivety Story because they poke fun almost everything about that story. This was a good christmas episode and I highly recommend it especially at the end.

1. The Road to the North Pole Part 1 and 2
This is to me the best christmas episode of Family Guy and it's a two parter. This two parter dives into how much we shouldn't let our greed consume us because we see Brian and Stewie meet Santa Claus we see how he's a broken man from all the demands from around the world and let me tell ya the workshop is a nightmare. There are inbred elves, the reindeer are monsters, and Santa is really 28 years old and is dying. Brian and Stewie decide to save christmas by being Santa unlike most christmas specials were they successed at saving christmas. Brian and Stewie fail horribly and it's both funny and dark at their first house. I love how Stewie freaks out and says. "We've been here for an hour and a half! We have to deliver to the whole entire world and this was one house!" It's true lets face it in real life it would be impossible to deliver presents in one night let's face it. In the end of the episode everyone wakes up to see there are no presents in under the tree and Brian and Stewie bring Santa to Channel 5 and Brian tells everyone they need cut back on their demands because if they don't Santa will die and they will loose Christmas. Everyone agrees to one gift and the episode ends with everyone loving their one gift. This two parter ends on a great note and I want Seth MacFarlane to make a musical because he's got such talent when it comes to music.

So that's my top 6 Family Guy Christmas episodes
Let me know what you think and have
A Merry Fricking Christmas!!!!
