The Running Man Review

The Running Man Review

So I saw Running Man yesterday, and here's my review. I liked it a lot. This film was excellent. The action was good, there were some funny moments, and the storyline was good too, but it's not Edgar Wright's best film. The cast of the movie all did a great job, like Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Lee Pace. The film is based on a Stephen King novel. It's set in a time when everyone enters network shows that promise lots of money, but they die. The Running Man is a game show. If you can stay alive for a month, you win a billion dollars. Ben Richards plays Glen Powell, who comes to help his wife and his sick daughter.
It's funny to know the novel and the film are set in 2025, and it's 2025.
I really did enjoy this film, and it's worth checking out as it's a fun movie. I give this film an 8 out of 10.

Playdate Movie Review

Playdate Review

So I saw Playdate and here's my review...It was funny, but not a great comedy like Naked Gun—it's a fun movie to watch if you're bored or want to get high. I mean, Alan Ritchson is always fun to watch, and Kevin James, well, he's Kevin James; he's funny once in a while. I mean, there were some humorous moments in this film, and there were times when it came off as stupid, but overall it's a funny movie. It's one of those movies you can get high or drunk to have a good time. I give this film a 5 out of 10. It's an okay movie with some funny moments, but it also has some dumb moments too.

Lilo and Stitch Review

My Lilo and Stitch Review.

So I saw the remake of Lilo and Stitch, and here's my review...It was better than Snow White, but it's another pointless remake that ruins what made the original so great. Now, the film's visuals are good, but its editing was pretty bad. However, Stitch was still really funny, but there were moments in the movie that ruined some of the heartfelt ones.
Also, the movie changes a lot from the original film, like Nani wanted to be a marine biologist, and Lilo and her don't have a sister bond that brought them together like it did in the original film. They also include some new scenes from the original film that feel out of place. However, there were some funny moments in the movie, though. There were also some new characters in the film, like another social worker who played the original Nani's voice actor, and David's grandma, who takes care of Lilo more than Nani does.
Also, I can see why fans hate how the director changed what Ohana meant, because it means no one gets left behind, but in this version, Nani leaves Lilo with David's grandma, and there is no romance between Nani and David — well, this is modern Disney, they hate romance now. Also, I hated how they made Jumba into a villain, like they cut Captain Gantu out of the film.
The director of the film has defended the changes, and I disagree with him because it ruins many of the original film's themes, like family never gets left behind, and how so many people had to give up certain things to help their families. I have nothing against this guy but I don't think he understood what the original film's themes and messages were.
In the animated film, Nani initially trained to become a surfing pro, but she gave it up after her parents died. But in the end, we all know she got a great job to support Lilo, and their family got bigger. It's sad how they didn't do that. I think the film would have worked better if you ended Nani getting a full time job as a surfer so she's living her second career idea being a professional surfer. There is always back up careers incase our first careers don't work out.
Now, the cast of the film is good; I liked the actresses who played Lilo and Nani — Maia Kealoha and Sydney Agundong —and the original voice of Stitch, Chris Sanders. I will admit it's cool they got the original voices of Nani and David Tia Carrere and Jason Lee Scott, as two new characters, and the rest of the cast did a good job. Still, the best thing was Stitch and the scenes with Jumbo and Pleaky. As well, Bubbles was cool, but they changed him up and there were some heart felt moments too between Stitch and Nani.
However, this film, in general, is why people don't want Disney remakes anymore: they ruin the themes and what made the original films. I give this remake a 5 out of 10. Honestly, How to Train Your Dragon was a great remake. It was created by the same director of the animated films, and unlike the director of this film, he made minor changes. This film did the opposite for no good reason. Like if Disney remakes something else please just make it minor changes not big ones.

What I want to see in the next season of King of the Hill

What I want to see in the next season of King of the Hill.

The new season of King of the Hill was great, and I loved it. We've got a new season coming next year. Here's what I want to see in the next season of King of the Hill, because there are so many fun ideas the show can go with next, and I know there were some leaked storyboard arts that told us what the next episodes will be about. So here is what I want to see in the next season of King of the Hill.

7. How Ladybird's death effected Hank.

Now, let's face it, Ladybird is dead, like she was 13 years old at the beginning of the series. Ladybird was the Hill's dog, and Hank loved her more than anything. Now in the new season, they didn't talk about Ladybird, nor do the Hills have a new dog. However, the leaked storyboards showed the Hills having a new dog — a little one —and, knowing Hank, he won't like it at first but might grow to love it. I think it will address how Ladybird's death hit Hank so hard and made him not want to get another dog, as he feels it's disrespectful to her memory. Now, as someone who had dogs in the past, I know that feeling, but even if you get another dog, it doesn't mean replacing your old dog. It means the new dog is a member of your family. I miss two of my old dogs who passed away, but I still remember them and love them like I do my current dog. Now, Hank Hill, I feel, would come to accept another dog in the family and realize that this new dog is not replacing Ladybird; he's joining the family. After seeing those storyboard leaks, we are likely getting something that, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see Hank cry because he misses Ladybird so much. I can see a flashback scene of Ladybird's passing, and knowing Hank, he would have a huge memorial service for Ladybird. This would be an emotional episode to watch like Jurassic Bark.

6. I want to see a religious episode but I want it to be about Hank realizes that his religious views have a lot of flaws but he still has faith no matter what.
Now, as someone who doesn't like the religious episodes of King of the Hill because man Hank is annoying with this stuff, as are Peggy and Luanne. However, I want an episode that deals with religion, but it's about Hank learning that his Christian values are considered outdated or problematic by many people. I can see this being addressed, and Hank, of course, would stand by his beliefs, but I think he would see that there is some things in the Bible or in the Christian faith that is outdated and problematic. He would still keep his faith, but agrees that people have exploited his work. However, it would be interesting if they made Bobby an agnostic: he's not sure what to believe in, but now questions and points out the flaws in his religion. Also he's still embarrassed by his religious phase during that July 4th episode.
Now, knowing Hank and Peggy, they would hate that, but they would later accept it because they would realize they forced Bobby into believing in god without letting him choose. I feel this way personally that we shouldn't force religion down people's throats instead we teach and if they choose not to accept thats okay. I believe in being a good person, and that's it.
I can also see a scene where Hank and Reverend Stroup talk, and she tells Hank and Peggy how hard it is to bring faith to people. Reverend Stroup would say.
"It's hard to bring God's love to people in this day and age because every time I do, people bring up the genocides, the Salem trials, and we Christians have been the source of most of the world's problems, and we killed innocent people who didn't accept Jesus." Hank would respond with.
"Ugh, why do people always associate christians with that stuff. When did we become the most hated religion?"
"And apparently the bible is problematic."
"How is the greatest story ever told problematic?"
Something like this would be fun to watch, as Hank is a devoted Christian, and in this day and age, Christianity is frowned upon by so many people.
It's also a shame we won't see Luanne in an episode like this, because it would be funny to see her beliefs put into question, and she would have a crisis of faith like Stan Smith did in American Dad.

5. Have Gracie in the next season and explained what happened to Luanne and Lucky
As we know, we won't see these two in the show, but I have a feeling we will see Gracie in a future season. I want to see Gracie in the next season, like GH, and she's grown up, so I wonder if she'll take after her parents or be the opposite. There are so many ideas for that character. As for Luanne and Lucky, I want them to tell us what happened to them, and if I had to write it, It would be this.
"Hey, how are Luanne and Lucky by the way?" Bobby asks.
"Oh they are good, after we moved Saudi Arabia, my father passed away, my mom couldn't look after the ranch on her own so Luanne and Lucky moved to Montana to help her and after she passed. They both inherited the ranch and Lucky runs the ranch he's done a good job which shocks me to this day and Luanne runs her own beauty parol and she's part time mechanic." Peggy replied.
"I can't deny I'm jealous that they inherited that amazing ranch, but that propane job in Saudi Arabia was too good not to pass up," Hank said.
Luanne and Lucky are both doing great, and that's it. We shall see what they do to honor both Luanne and Lucky, and it would be good if they had them appear, but as background characters. As for Gracie I think they could have her stay with the Hills for the summer or something. Also there could be a fun twist were GH and Gracie are dating and Hank and Peggy don't like it all. Just some ideas for how they address Luanne and Lucky.

4. Hank Hill on Trump and the America he lives in now.

Now we know Hank is a right-winger, and Mike Judge has said that Hank would never vote for someone like Trump. I do want to see an episode that deals with Trump, and I agree —I think Hank Hill would hate Donald Trump. He would say something like Trump ruins Regan's saying Make America Great Again, Hank would hate the tariffs as he feels its ruining small business, and he hates the fact that a criminal who sexually harassed people is in charge of America. Cause let's face it, Hank has been sexually harassed too. However, I think one funny idea is that Hank loves Regan, but now a lot of people don't like Regan at all because he did some stuff. It would be amusing for Hank to meet someone who hates Regan. He tells Hank everything wrong with Regan; it would make Hank mad, but he would start to realize the man he looked up to wasn't actually a good guy. I think Hank would still like Regan, but would come to acknowledge that he wasn't perfect and he did wrong. As well, I know Hank wasn't a big fan of Obama, and I can see him saying "I would re-elect Obama over Trump any day because, as McCain said, he's a descent family man citizen who happen to have disagreements with." Hank would respect Obama more than Trump, as much as we can tell. Hank wasn't a big fan of him, especially since he was born in Hawaii.

3. How will they handle John Redcorn after the tragic death of Jonathan Joss.
Now, as we know, we lost the voice of John Redcorn this year, Jonathan Joss. So now the question is, should they recast or retire the character? It wouldn't be the first time they recast John Redcorn; he was initially voiced by Victor Aaron, who died in a motorcycle accident in 1996. So they could recast, or they might retire Redcorn, either by making him a background character or killing him off, and we see how his death hurts Nancy, Dale, Joseph, and everyone else because he was a member of their family. As well, I don't know whether they will fully reveal whether Dale knew about the affair, or if they'll do an episode about John Redcorn's death, and reveal that Dale knew about Nancy and him but didn't care because he loves Joseph no matter what.
Whatever they do to honor Jonathan, I will be fine with whether they recast or retire the character, as long as it honors Jonathan and his family.

2. Can we get an episode were Peggy finally gets called out.

Now, Peggy Hill is a character many fans can't stand, even after her return. We need an episode where Peggy gets called out for BS and she gets owned. It would be a satisfying episode to watch. Give us an episode were Peggy finally gets called out because its long overdue for all the times she was annoying narcissist and didn't own up to her mistakes. Please let it happen so many fans want this to happen.

1. What happened to Strickland Propane?
As we know, Hank took a propane job in Saudi Arabia, and we never got an answer to what happened to Strickland Propane. We did see Buck in the show, but they didn't explain what happened to Strickland. I hope next season they address what happened to Strickland —like, did Buck sell the business? It would be sad to know Hank was about to be made manager, but Buck sold the place to maybe his son. Buck then offered Hank a propane job in Saudi Arabia, to which Hank wasn't keen on at first, but it paid well, and he would live in a great house in the American district. I want an episode that explains why Hank took that job, what happened to Strickland, and what happened to Hank's coworkers—where are they now? We need an episode as a Strickland reunion, showing what happened to his coworkers after Strickland was either bought out or shut down.
So that's what I want to see in the next season of King of the Hill. Let me know what you think and what you want to see next.

Frankenstein Review

My review of Frankenstein

So I saw Frankenstein last night, and here's my review. I enjoyed this film a lot, and I know we've gotten tons of Frankenstein films before. However, this is Del Toro's best one by far. We all know the story, but in the movie it's told from both Victor's and the Creature's points of view. The film's makeup design and setting design were fantastic. Also, the film's story was well written, and it's very different from the book, which isn't surprising, as the story has been in the public domain for a hundred years. The cast of the film all did a great job, like Oscar Issac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Charles Dance, and David Bradley. Oscar Issac was fantastic as Victor Frankenstein, but Jacob Elordi was incredible as the Creature. The themes of the movie are the same as in the book, and there are some powerful moments, but the ending is very different from the book.

You really feel for the Creature in this film because he's not a monster; he's actually a good guy searching for meaning in his life. This film was fantastic and I had a good time with it. I highly recommend it as Del Toro does it again, and I give it an 8 out of 10.

How to Train Your Dragon Review

How To Train Your Dragon Review

So I saw How to Train Your Dragon remake and I got to be honest with you guys. This was a good remake. Now usually I hate on remakes like we get from Disney but this movie did a great job retelling the story of How to Train Your Dragon. The special effects of the film are great and the set designs are great too.
The movie's cast all did a great job, like Mason Thames, who was great, and I want him to play Tim Drake, aka Red Robin. Nico Parker was great too, as was Gerald Buttler (Reprising his role from the animated film), and the rest of the cast were fantastic. The film did make some changes, but it remained faithful to the original. This is how to do a proper remake: they are not changing too much from the original story, and there is no pandering. This was a well made film that has the same message as the old film.
This was a fun film to watch, and DreamWorks did a good job, but I hope they won't end up like Disney if they keep remaking their own works.
I give this movie a 8 out of 10

Who should be the big bad of the DCU?

Who should be the big bad of the DCU?

Recently, James Gunn announced that Darkseid will not be the big bad of the DCU, which I understand. He pointed out that he didn't want a Thanos and that he loved how Zack Snyder portrayed Darkseid in his films. As much as I loved Darkseid's look in Justice League, they should go with a different big bad, one that's distinct from the MCU.

Now here are my top six suggestions for the "Big Bad" of the DCU.

6. The Centre

The Centre has been rumored for a while to be the big bad of chapter one of the DCU. Fans also believe the Lanterns series will introduce it as a threat that brings the Justice League together. The Centre, I can see as the villain in the first Justice League, but I don't see it as the big bad of the ten-year plan. They could pull an idea that the real Big Bad sends to attack Earth or something.

5. The Legion of Doom
Now this is an idea that could work, as I showed in my first Justice League Fan Cast and Ideas. The Legion of Doom would be an interesting idea as the big bad of the DCU, since it's new, and the most significant threat is a team of supervillains. That's something that can make the DCU different from the MCU.

4. Vandal Savage
Vandal Savage would be another good choice as the big bad of the DCU, as he has fought the Justice League many times and has led conquests of the world. He's not alien or anything, just an immortal man from BC. Vandal has also led the Legion of Doom, the Secret Society, and many more, so he would be a great main villain of the DCU, and he's made deals with evil gods before.

3. Nekron
Nekron was the main villain of the Blackest Night series, and he is the entity of the Black Lantern Corps. He would be a good main villain, as he can bring the dead back to life and turn them into Black Lanterns. Nekron would be a frightening villain for the heroes to fight, and depending on how many seasons Lanterns goes on for, I can see him being the main villain of the final season.

2. Brainiac
Now we know Brainiac is likely the villain of the Man of Tomorrow, though there has been no confirmation, but Brainiac is expected in the film. Brainiac could also serve as the main villain of the DCU, like he was in Injustice 2. Brainiac is definitely a Justice League-worthy villain for them to fight as their big bad. As well, if he is the main villain of the first Justice League film, that would work, since it fits chapter one of the DCU Gods and Monsters.

1. Mobius/Anti-Monitor
Now, Mobius the Anti-Monitor is a destroyer of multiverses, consumed with rage over the life his brothers gave the Multiverse. Anti-Monitor was the main villain in the CW Crisis series, and he could serve as the big bad of the DCU. As he's not like Thanos, he wants to destroy all life in the Multiverse, and he started the Crisis on Infinite Earths. So he would be a good endgame villain for the DCU to wrap everything up.

So that's my thoughts on who the big bad of the DCU should be, and if I had to pick the big bad of all the DCU, it would be Anti-Monitor because he feels like he would be the proper final villain for the Justice League fight since the DCU will explore the Multiverse. If I had to pick a second, I would go with Braianic as the main big bad of the DCU, and the others I think could work too, either as main villains in certain Justice League films or as solo superhero films — like Nerkon, who would be a good final villain in the Lanterns show.

Toy Story Review Celebrating 30 years of this classic film.

My review of Toy Story, celebrating 30 years of this classic film.

Toy Story has been part of my childhood for years, and it's hard to believe it's been 30 years since this film came out. It was the first CGI animated film. Toy Story has been part of our childhoods, as it started Pixar, and we got two fantastic sequels and a fourth film that no one wanted, and now we are getting another film that no one wants. We all love the characters of this film, like Woody, Buzz, Bo Peep, Rex, Slinky, Hamm, Mr. Potatohead, and later Jesse, Bullseye, Barbie, and Ken. The first film started it all and made the way for 3D animation.
Here's my review of Toy Story, one of my favourite Pixar films, to celebrate 30 years of this great film.
The film is about Woody, Andy's favorite toy, and the leader of the toys in Andy's room. Now that Andy is moving to a new place, Woody wants to make sure everyone is prepared to leave. It's Andy's birthday, and he gets a new toy called Buzz Lightyear. Now we all know Woody gets jealous of Buzz, and Buzz also believes he is a space ranger, not a toy. It's funny how all the toys think and disagree with Woody, too. I always find that scene with Buzz looking like an alien hilarious.
LOL now it's a meme.
Now, in the film, Woody gets jealous of Buzz to the point that he wants to get rid of him and become Andy's favourite again. Fun fact: In the original story draft, Woody was going to be a villain, and he throws Buzz out the window on purpose, but John Lassender and the developers decided not to do it because they wanted Woody to be a good guy, and they wanted the audience to say, "Woody don't do that." Because in that scene, Woody is shocked by what he did and worried about Buzz. He wanted to hide him from Andy, but the other toys, jealous and losing respect for him, had had it with him. But not Bo Peep and Slinky Woody, who eventually realize the error of their ways because they were being selfish jerks.
Later, Woody and Buzz get into a fight and are both left behind at the Gas station. Woody and Buzz argue, and then Buzz tells Woody the universe is in trouble and that Zurg is going to blow up the planet, to which Woody snaps at him. I don't blame Woody; even the other toys would be like, "Okay, you are not a space ranger," because in the following films, they agree it was weird.

In the film, we meet the villain, Sid. You can tell how scared the toys are of Sid, and even Summer Camp can't teach this kid to be well-behaved.
Sid is this teenage kid who loves to destroy and torture toys for fun. He's basically a messed up version of Andy and it's funny how parents never stop him for doing this I mean my parents would.
Sid was a funny villain because he was just a kid who loved to torture his toys until Woody stops him and teaches him to play nice with his toys.
When Buzz learns he is a toy, not a space ranger, it is a sad scene until Woody tells him being a toy is a lot better, and he tells him he is a cool toy. Woody even admits he can't compete with Buzz, and he knows this whole mess was his fault. Woody and Buzz make amends and work together to escape Sid's place until Buzz gets taken outside by Sid. So Woody works with the toys Sid tortured, and it is satisfying to watch them stop Sid from blowing up Buzz.
Remember playing with your toys nicely.
Buzz and Woody chase after the moving truck, and I gotta be honest, as a kid, I love the look on Mr. Potatohead's face when he realizes Woody was right and he was helping Buzz.
Mr. Potato Head deserved this. I'm just glad they redeemed him in the following films.
The favorite moment of the film is when Buzz falls with style and Woody yells, 'Infinity and Beyond.'
Great scene, and they reunite with Andy. The film ends with them celebrating Christmas, and both Buzz and Woody are now best friends, shocked to learn that Andy got a puppy.
They are both like oh crap but as we know in Toy Story 2, Woody loves the new dog Buster and even trains him.

Toy Story is still one of the best animated films ever made, and the songs like You Got a Friend in Me still hold up. The cast of the film includes Tom Hanks, Annie Potts, Wallace Shawn, the late Don Rickles, the late Jim Varney, John Ratzenberger (Who went on to voice so many other Pixar characters), and, of course, Tim Allen. It's interesting to know that this film redeemed Tim Allen's career after his past drug problems.
I love this film, and it was part of my childhood and still is.
I don't want to see another Toy Story film because the second and third films were great, and the third film had a perfect ending. They really should have stopped after 3. I give Toy Story a 10 out of 10.

My idea for Absolute Nightwing

My idea for Absolute Nightwing.

Now, after the success of the Absolute Universe, here is my take on Nightwing. Now, in issue 9 of Absolute Batman, Dick Grayson is introduced as an EMT, and he clearly doesn't like Batman, and it's likely he won't see Bruce as a father figure since he's around the same age or a little younger. Also, I don't see Dick Grayson becoming Robin in this universe; instead, he becomes Nightwing.
I read somewhere that Scott Snyder hinted that Nightwing won't be a sidekick to Batman but will be his own hero. Which, to be honest with ya, I like: seeing Dick Grayson already being his own hero is a fascinating idea.
Now, here are my ideas of Absolute Nightwing and what makes him different from the mainstream Nightwing.
1. This Dick Grayson is an EMT, but he's also around eighteen years old.
2. His father, John Grayson, is still alive, like Martha Wayne is. His mother, Mary Grayson, is dead, and she died in a freak accident at Haley Circus. His father left the circus with Dick, and they started a new life in Gotham, as they were originally from Bludheaven.
3. Dick Grayson doesn't like Batman's methods, and he thinks he takes things too far. However, he would later meet Batman, and the two don't get along, but they become brothers after both have lost a parent. Also, I would have both Martha and John date, and it's the funniest scene where both Bruce and Dick are shocked to see each other and even more stunned that their parents are dating.
4. He takes the name Nightwing because his grandfather was called Nightwing during his time at Haley Circus. The costume is black, the symbol is red, his mask covers all his face except his hair, and he uses ecrima sticks that stun foes. He also knows martial arts, and he is an acrobat. He doesn't beat his enemies to a pulp like Batman; instead, he takes it easy on them.
5. Tony Zucco is Talon in this universe, and he was the one who killed Mary, as he was in love with her. Talon would be the first foe he would fight, and he would learn that his father, John, was a member of the Court of Owls and had given it up to be with his mother, Mary. However, Tony was in love with Mary and obsessed with her, but after she chose John. He killed her as if he couldn't have her; no one can. The Court of Owls in this universe has more beef with Nightwing than Batman.
6. Also, like Batman, one of his biggest foes is one of his best friends. That is Roland Desmond, who is Blockbuster in the central DC universe. Still, in this universe, he's best friends with Dick Grayson, having grown up together, and he would eventually become Blockbuster. However, he's not a massive guy when he becomes Blockbuster; it's more than that: he's taller, with a toned, fit body, and his eyes turn red, becoming a raging monster.
7. Nightwing would eventually leave Gotham for Bludhaven, and there he would reunite with his best friend, Roland, but later learns he has become Blockbuster.
8. Nightwing would meet Flash at some point, and that would set up the Titans of the Absolute Universe. Nightwing would meet Starfire, but this Starfire is a formerly enslaved person whose planet was destroyed by Blackstars, and her sister, Blackfire, is a member of the Blackstars. Blackfire wanted revenge on the rulers of her home who made her and her sister slaves. She joined the Blackstars and destroyed the planet and everyone on it, but Starfire didn't want this, so she escaped and landed on Earth.
Starfire meets Nightwing, and the two of them develop a romance for each other. As well, he helps her fight Blackfire, which would set up the formation of the Titans, including Nightwing, Flash, Starfire, Zatanna, and Blue Beetle, who is Dan Garrett in this universe.
9. The first volume is him becoming Nightwing and avenging his mother's death at the hands of Talon and the Court of Owls, the second volume is him returning to Bludhaven and reuniting with Haley Circus and his best friend but he has become Blockbuster and taken over Haley Circus, turns into a crime business, and the third volume is him meeting Starfire and forming the Titans and batting Blackfire.
That's how I would write absolute Nightwing, and I know Scott is already planning to bring in Robin, but I don't think it will be Dick Grayson. They will likely have him as Nightwing now that he's older and whatever Scott does I'm excited to see it either way because I am loving the Absolute universe.
