So yesterday, they announced the cast for The Hunt for Gollum. We have Elijah Wood, Lee Pace, and Ian McKellen coming back to play their characters. Jamie Doran will play a young Aragorn in the film. I have to say I do like Jamie Doran as Aragorn. He looks a little like Viggo, which is good. Kate Winslet is playing Marigol, Smeagol's grandmother, who didn't have a name in the books, so they give her one. Leo Woodale will be playing a new character called Halvard, who will join Aragorn on his quest. I just hope that character doesn't come across as forced or there for no reason. Overall, I am excited to see this movie. I just hope it's good. Don't expect it to be an epic war film; it's a side story that explores Aragorn's days as a ranger, Gollum's origins, and his decision to leave his cave to find the ring. I would rather see this than watch Rings of Power. Let's hope this film is good and just makes a fun adventure film that's a side quest that's fun to watch.
