Oppenheimer Review

My Oppenheimer Review

So I saw Oppenheimer on Saturday, and here is my review of it...I loved it. I thought it was a great movie. It's very intense and has excellent acting too. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr were both awesome in the film. The film is about Oppenheimer, a scientist who helps the US government create a bomb that can destroy an entire city, and we all know that bomb is an atomic bomb. We see him and a group of scientists working together on it, and I got to tell you there were some intense moments when they built the bomb because the first testing of it makes you feel like you're witnessing it in person. Also, the film shows Oppenheimer's life as a student, his travels to UK and Germany, his association with the communist party, and his life after they dropped the bomb. Even though he felt ashamed of what he had created, it was the only way to stop World War 2.

The cast of the film all did a great job besides Cillian and Robert, like Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Jack Quaid, Tom Conti, Rami Malek, Josh Hartnett, Emma Dumont, Devon Bostick, Dane DeHaan, and so many more. The cast of this film is enormous, but surprisingly there's no Michael Caine because he's in all of Nolan's films.

The film was long like it's about 3 hours long, but you're still at the edge of your seat watching this film, and there are some sad moments in this film because what they accomplished helped stop the war, but it destroyed so many lives, and even Oppenheimer felt ashamed of what he created.
"Now I've become Death, The Destroyer of Worlds."
The Father of the Atomic Bomb.
Overall this is one of Nolan's best films yet, and he's not going to make any more until the writers and actors strike over, and I totally support him and them. I give this film 8 out of 10. Go see it but heads up, it is long, but that's Chris Nolan for ya. He makes long but great films, even if they get confusing sometimes.
