My thoughts on RDJ returning to the MCU as Dr. Doom.

My thoughts on RDJ returning to the MCU as Dr. Doom?

So, we just got the news yesterday that RDJ is returning to the MCU, not as Iron Man, but as Dr. Doom. The new Avengers movie is called Doomsday, so there will be no more Kang. Also, the Russo Brothers are back to direct both films, which is good. I love the Russo Brothers, but this is out of desperation from Marvel to win back fans. Kevin Feige has been struggling since Endgame and he knows it.

This news is huge because no one saw it coming, but there were rumors that RDJ was coming back. However, he's playing Dr. Doom. Now, from what we gather, they are not focusing on Kang anymore since the whole Jonathan Majors drama. Having Dr. Doom as the new big bad does work because this character needs to be done right, and we've seen how badly the Fantastic Four films messed up the character. In the comics, he was one of the most important villains in Marvel and in truth he's not a villain. Stan Lee once said he's not a villain, he believes he can make the world a better place.
I would have preferred Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy, or Aidan Turner as Victor Von Doom, aka Dr. Doom. Still, I'm glad RDJ is back, and you know, fun fact: Robert Downey Jr. Jr did audition to play Dr. Doom in the 2005 film.
Still, I'm happy to see RDJ come back, but we know that Marvel is doing this because they are desperate to get back viewers because of how poor Phase 4 and 5 have been. That's what happens when you adapt all new, all different Marvel, one of the worst eras in Marvel Comics.
Now, it's likely RDJ is playing a variant of Tony Stark if he becomes Dr. Doom, and I think it will be a combination of Infamous Iron Man and Superior Iron Man.
So I can see them making a Tony Variant who became Dr. Doom instead of Iron Man. He conquered his world but learn of the multiverse and it turns out he's actually the real mastermind behind the Multiverse events.
Or RDJ is playing Victor Von Doom, but he looks like Tony Stark. Also, they confirmed that the Fantastic Four will be in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, so we already have five cast members for Doomsday.
I hope this Dr. Doom is done right he's not a villain but a man who believes he's saving the universe. I also hope he's defeated by Fantastic 4, Spider-Man, or War Machine and Rescue along with Tony's daughter Morgan.
I don't want to see him get defeated by Iron Heart because I don't like that character.
I am excited to see RDJ come back, but again, like I wrote before, Marvel is desperate to win back audiences. The story needs to be good and make sense because, let's face it, these two films have to be good. Also, getting RDJ back in the MCU works just as long he's not playing Tony Stark from the MCU but actually a variant who wants to conquer the Multiverse. Still, I think the multiverse troupe is getting dumb at this point, but I could be wrong.
That's what I think about RDJ returning to the MCU as Dr. Doom.
I hope they do an excellent job because Marvel is struggling, and let's face it, the MCU needs a reset and a new ten-year plan after Secret Wars. If you've checked out my How I Would Reboot the MCU.
I make Dr. Doom one of the most important villains in the MCU.
Let me know what you think. Are you excited to see RDJ come back, and are you hoping they might bring back more characters like Steve Rogers/Captain America, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and T'Challa/Black Panther? Let me know.
It's good to see RDJ back and I just hope they do him right.

Deadpool and Wolverine Review

My Review of Deadpool and Wolverine
So, I finally saw Deadpool and Wolverine, and here's my review. I loved it. I had such a fun time with this movie, and I love how the movie makes fun of the current state of the MCU and other jokes, too. This movie was so much to watch, and it's great seeing Jackman return as Wolverine, this time in the yellow suit.
Finally, after 24 years, we see Wolverine in his iconic yellow suit. Even Deadpool says in the film that it took 24 years to get him to wear that suit.
When I saw the mask, I couldn't help but clap.
Finally, a proper Wolverine costume with mask everything.

The film's cast did a great job. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were so good together on screen.
Ryan Reynolds was so funny in this movie. His jokes were funny, and I respect Ryan Reynolds, who had to fight Disney to do certain scenes he wanted, but the studio didn't. Also, Hugh Jackman, as always, is excellent as Wolverine. The fight scenes these two have are epic and funny at the same time.
The villain of Cassandra Nova was a great villain. She's on the same level as High Evolutionary, and she's so hateful in this film. I'm happy Marvel gave us another hateful villain because they mostly prefer to make the villains sympathetic. Her powers are very disturbing, and she kills people in such a disturbing way. She's also Xavier's sister.
Also, the cameos of other characters from Fox's X-Men are a lot of fun. I won't spoil any of the cameos; I'll have them at the bottom of the blog.
The action scenes are good, the story itself is good, and it involves the Multiverse, a troupe we are tired of. I like this film more than the second one, but to me, the first one is the best Deadpool film.
The idea of Deadpool being in the MCU is just brilliant. I enjoyed watching this film; it brings back good storytelling and character focus. Don't get me wrong, we got that in GOFG Vol 3 and Spider-Man No Way Home. I hope this film does teach Marvel that it needs to give more freedom of creative control to its directors because you get good results. I give this film a 9 out of 10. I really enjoyed it, and I hope this will get Marvel back to its roots. Still, it depends on how Captain America 4, the Fantastic 4 reboot, and the MCU X-Men film turn out because I'm not that hype for those projects unless the projects surprise me; still more hype for Superman and Gunn's upcoming DCU projects like Brave and the Bold, Lanterns, and Teen Titans. However, I'm excited that Marvel will do more R-rated projects, which is good because let's face WB let DC make R-rated films and shows; Marvel needs more R-rated projects.
Now, here are some spoilers at bottom
SO DON'T LOOK!

Spoilers you've been warned!

Cameos
We see Wolverine variants, one of which is played by Henry Cavil. Also, we see a more comic-accurate Wolverine in the film; it is funny. Laura returns in this film.
Lady Deadpool appears played by Blake Lively, Matthew McConaughey is Wild West Deadpool, and Ryan Reynold's kid plays Kidpool.
We see Chris Evans in the film, not as Cap but as the Human Torch; Weasley Snipes returns as Blade, and I love the line when he says, "Theres only one Blade." Deadpool gives a look that there is a new Blade coming, but it has been delayed five times. Jennifer Garner returns as Elektra, and I find it funny when
we learn Daredevil was killed, but Elektra says, "Eh, it's whatever." Referring to her divorce from Ben Affleck, who played Daredevil in 2003. Also, Channing Tatum finally debuts as Gambit, and he does an excellent job. I love how comic-accurate his suit is. This film has so many cameos and I'm going to say Henry Cavil should be the next Wolverine or Daniel Radcliffe.
Go See It.

Captain Fantastic Review

My review of Captain Fantastic.

Here is my review of one of my favorite movies, Captain Fantastic. The movie stars Viggo Mortensen, who has never done a comedy before, and this is one of his best films. The film is about Ben, who lives in the forest with his kids, teaches them how to survive in the woods, and home-schools them with his wife, Leslie. However, later in the film, Ben learns that his wife killed herself, and her father does not want Ben there as he blames him for her death. So he takes his kids on a road trip to go to the funeral and honor his wife's last will to be cremated, and her ashes flush down a public toilet. The film is both funny, dramatic, and sad simultaneously because we see how this movie makes fun of society, and some of the humor is offensive but funny. Especially when his five-year-old son asks what rape means and when his eight-year-old daughter asks what crack is. He tells them in full detail about it.

The film has themes of what's best for your kids because we see  Ben's sister and Leslie's parents question his parenting in the movie. They view it as child abuse and say that his kids should go to a real school instead of being home-schooled by him. It doesn't matter how smart they are. They must go to school and learn about the world from others besides Ben. Ben's kids in the movie are all great characters, and the actors did a great job playing them. One of them would go on to star in 1917, and he was the top choice for the Flash in the DCU. The film's ending is excellent, and it's a feel-good ending.

Good advice for any kids who go off to College.

Captain Fantastic has some of the best acting. Viggo Mortensen does a great job playing Ben. It's funny seeing him do comedy because, most of the time, he does more serious films. This film is something you have to watch once in a while because it shows parenting that some consider dangerous, but in truth, the film shows what good parents should be like to their kids. I give this film an 8 out of 10.

Madame Web Review

My review of Madame Web
So, I finally saw Madame Web, and here's my review of it. It was bad. It was like one of the Sony live-action Spider-verse films yet. Moribus is much worse, but this film was boring. This movie had some of the worst acting. The story was poorly written, and I couldn't get into it.

The film is an origin story for Madame Web, and they change her origin. Like in the comics, she's blind and disabled from an accident, and her husband builds her a machine so she can travel through realities and see the future. I found the scenes in the film where her visions got confusing at some scenes and there were moments were I got bored.
Stan Lee's wife voiced Madame Web.
We all know Madame Web from the Spider-Man animated series. That was better. Also, Dakota Johnson was not good in this film, and I found it weird that at the baby shower, she talked about her mother dying from childbirth. That's something you don't bring up at a baby shower. Also Ben and Cassie's friendship was all right in the film.
The rest of the cast are all talented actors. It's just that the characters were boring, like the three actresses who play Julie, Mattie, and Anya. They are good, but their characters could be better written. The comic version of the characters are better written. I'm just glad Isabela Merced has a better superhero role coming up in Superman as Hawkgirl, and she will have an extensive DCU career with that than this; Sydney Sweeney is already doing good as she will star in the Barbella remake directed by Edger Wright. I hope Celeste O'Connor gets more roles in the future because she was great in Ghostbusters Afterlife.
In the film, these three will kill the villain, Ezekiel, and he wants to kill them before they can. So now Cassie, aka Madame Web, has to protect them from him.
Also, these three wear their costumes only at the film's end and in a vision. That's dumb; it's a superhero film, after all. Also, these three don't look like they are in high school, and I find Dakota Johnson didn't do a good job as Madame Web. Dakota Johnson herself didn't like this movie either.
Why does Madame Web leave all three girls in the woods while she studies the spider mythos? I mean, come on. Take them somewhere safer, and like earlier why not have Ben help them.
Now, Adam Scott plays Uncle Ben, and he is a weird choice like he wasn't bad. It's weird seeing him as Uncle Ben. This is the first time we have seen Uncle Ben on the big screen since Amazing Spider-Man. I think they could have done better with the character.
Also, this film had a lot of 2000 nostalgia, and Ezekiel's costume is something out of the Boys. It doesn't look good.
Now, the film's villain is Ezekiel Sims. He killed Cassie's mom and stole a rare spider that gave him spider powers. Cassie's mom led a group of scientist to study a rare breed of healing factor spiders.
Also, I hate how they change the With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility to When you take Responsibility, you will gain powerful abilities. That sounds lame.
He's trying to kill Julie, Anya, and Mattie because they will kill him in the future because he can see the future too. He's hunting them down, and the lamest way this character dies is when he gets crushed by a Pepsi stand. I thought that was lamest way to kill a villain. It might be funny to some but it's still lame.
I've read the Book of Ezekiel from J. Michael's run on Amazing Spider-Man. It was a good story about Peter meeting Ezekiel, a man with spider powers like Peter. Ezekiel got his powers from the spider god in a Peru temple. He became Peter's mentor but eventually went crazy and tried to sacrifice him. However, he had a change of heart as he grew to care for Peter like a son. They did the character dirty in this film. Ezekiel would work better in a Spider-Man movie because he is another mentor in Peter's life, except he tries to kill him for a Spider god.
There were some funny moments, but they didn't save the film. The scene with Cassie and her mom is a good scene, though.
Also, the ending of the film was like, okay, so Peter Parker was born, and they used a scene from the first Spider-Man film, 2002. Cassie does become blind and disabled. Julie, Mattie, and Anya become Spider-Women and protect New York. Still, this film was bland and bad.
This is a bad superhero film, and I hate to say it, but Ant-Man 3 is a better film. I called that film the Batman and Robin of Marvel films, but this is on the same level with Morbius.
Overall, the film's cast are good actors; hopefully, they will get better roles. Well, two of them have it big right now. As Sydney Sweeney said on SNL
"Hopefully you know me from, Anyone But You and not Madame Web."
I give this movie a 3 out of 10.  This film is up there with Morbius because I was bored with it. Like all Sony Live-Action Spider-Universe films, you don't have Spidey or a good ten-year plan.
Watch How it should have Ended Madame Web it's really funny.

Originally, there were plans to make a Silk TV series, but after Madame Web, they tried to rewrite it. However, Sony canceled the project in the end. Now, I do want to see a good Spider-Woman movie or TV series in the future. Theres lot of great stories to tell and here are three character would great adaptions.
I would love to see a Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman movie in the future. It could be set in the MCU, and we could include the HYDRA from SHIELD origin for the character. Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman movie would be fantastic to do but set in the MCU so we can get a proper New Avengers film.
I would love to see a Mayday Parker/Spider-Girl movie happen, too. It could work in Tobey's Universe or Andrew Garfield's universe. It could be about May continuing her father's work and protecting New York. It would be a good coming-of-age story for Mayday Parker as Spider-Girl.
Also, I would love to see Spider-Gwen adapted on screen, and rumor has it that Sony is planning to make a movie about Spider-Gwen because of how popular the character is in the Spider-Verse films. I totally can see it happening.
They just need to find good writers and directors and make a great film that we can all enjoy.
I would love to these Spider-Women get a big screen adaption or small screen.

Now, I have to be honest. Sony's Spider-Man Cinematic Universe could be better. I know some people love the Venom films and are excited about the third one. Still, Morbius, Madame Web, and even the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie looks like garbage. He's not a hunter in this film they recon his character. They don't have an idea on what they are doing.
They are planning this out horribly and don't have a Spider-Man despite being called Sony's Spider-Man Cinematic Universe. It's not Tom, Tobey, or Andrew well some say it is actually Andrew but who knows it could be Miles, Ben Reily, or Kaine Parker.
The Spider-Verse films are way better because they have a plan and writers who love Spider-Man. They should get them to handle more of the live-action projects, which what they are doing because Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be involved in more future projects because they get Spider-Man. I am excited about the upcoming Spider-Man Noir series with Nicholas Cage.
This could be a good show. I would love to see Kaine Parker/Scarlet Spider and Spider-Man 2099 get adaptions.
These would make awesome, more mature Spider-Man series for older audiences.
Check out my Fan Cast and Ideas for these two characters.
Sony has announced that they are making a Miles Morales Spider-Man film, which I like, but Miles is hard to adapt to on screen. Not in animated form but live-action because I've discussed how Miles should be adapted. Either he's in the MCU, Maguire's Universe, or Garfield's Universe, or he is the Spider-Man of this Universe. We shall see what they do.
Still, Sony needs to just make good films and have Spider-Man in them because characters like Moribus, Madame Web, and Kraven don't work. They need a better idea or just do stuff fans want to see.

Patch Boomhauer Episode Review

My Patch Boomhauer episode review
This is my first episode review, and it's not a top ten or less review. It's more just the focus on this one episode of King of the Hill, which many have said is one of the best episodes. It is, but it's also the episode where we see Hank Hill at his worst, and by that, I mean being a terrible friend to Boomhauer. However, this also one of the best Boomhauer focus episodes because Boomhauer is my favourite King of the Hill character.
In this episode, Boomhauer learns his brother Patch, voiced by Brad Pitt, is getting married to Katherine, voiced by Laura Dern.

Now, Boomhauer is upset by the news, as he loves Katherine, but things between her and Boomhauer didn't work out in the past. Patch asks Boomhauer to be his best man, and Boomhauer accepts for Katherine's sake.  However, we later see Patch is more of a womanizer and way more horny than Boomhauer is, especially when he asks Luanne to sit on his lap for money. Boomhauer may be a womanizer, but he respects marriage views and values. If he were getting married, he would move on from his single life and be loyal to his future wife. Boomhauer is a better guy than his brother or characters like Glen Quagmire. Patch doesn't seem to care about vows, as it shows he wants to get some, even being engaged. He tells Patch he needs to grow up, but Patch acts like a jerk, and the two brothers fight. As they do, Hank gets mad at Boomhauer, accusing him of not acting right, but in truth, we know Boomhauer is not the bad guy. So Boomhauer quits being the best man, and Hank becomes Patch's best man.
One thing I find funny about the gang's past bachelor parties is that they claim they were wild, but in truth, they were just playing cards, eating pizza, and pulling a prank on the old ball and chain. Now, these bachelor parties, to be honest, sound boring. I would like mine to be fun, just going out and partying, but some people just keep their parties simple, and that's totally fine.
In the episode, Hank plans out Patch's bachelor party, but Patch already has entertainment coming to the bachelor party. Hank, being naive, assumes it's just fun entertainment like stand-up. I'm looking at Hank like. Hank clearly, Patch is hiring strippers for the party. Had Hank been smart, he would have asked Patch what type of entertainment he was getting and had Patch revealed that it was strippers. Hank would have told him no, and they weren't going to have strippers at the party. Knowing Patch he would have been annoyed with Hank and would fire him looked for another best man because Hank would not allow strippers. This would have made Hank realize that Patch is not a good guy and that he may need a talking too about growing up from Hank.
I really hated Hank in this scene. I wanted Boomhauer to punch him in the face because he deserves it.
Also, marriage means so much to Buck Strickland. Had Hank just turned around and seen him, it would have been funny because it's like Hank, your boss, has cheated on his wife many times.
Now later in the episode, we see Hank being a piece of crap of a friend to Boomhauer. Boomhauer talks to Katherine in one scene, and Hank gets angry at him. He tells Boomhauer he needs to grow up and accept that he can't have Katherine and tells him Patch grew up. I'm looking at Hank like Boomhauer knows he was just talking to her. Hank becomes such a control freak that he lashes out at Boomhauer without letting him explain himself. A good friend would let a friend explain his actions; a bad friend assumes the worst without giving them a chance to explain themselves. Hank is an asshole of a friend to Boomhauer. Later, at the bachelor party, we saw how bored everyone was, and I couldn't blame them; I would be bored, too. It doesn't look fun at all, so why not go out to bars, go golfing, play drinking games, or play video games while drinking? Hank would be a lame-best man to have, to be honest. He wouldn't let you have any fun. Boomhauer comes to the bachelor party and makes amends with Patch, and I don't like Hank's smug look at Boomhauer, as if he got him to listen to him. If anything, Hank should have given Patch that talk instead of Boomhauer. I'm still surprised Luanne never told Hank and Peggy about what Patch did earlier in the episode.
(Google Image)
Later, a guy named Greg T comes, and Hank thinks the entertainment is just karaoke because he has a stereo. It's actually strippers he brings to dance for Patch and do other things. Boomhauer sees this and is angry at this because Boomhauer respects marriage better than his brother does. He asks them to leave and gives them money, but Patch steps in and loves this. Hank sees this and realizes it was strippers, but instead of getting mad at Patch or asking him if this was the entertainment, he blames Boomhauer. Peggy and Katherine come in and see this, shocked. Boomhauer gets all the blame as Patch accuses him of hiring them, and Hank believes him just like that. Hank made me so mad at this scene that I just wanted Boomhauer to punch him in the face and walk out because Hank wasn't letting Boomhauer explain himself because he clearly never hired those hookers. Katherine hates Boomhauer for this but doesn't know it was Patch.
Lol love this scene.
In the next scene, the guys drink at the alley, and Hank is disappointed in Boomhauer and can't believe he lied to his face. Hank questions if he should be friends with Boomhauer. I'm like Hank; you were the unreasonable jerk; you treated one of your best friends like garbage. If anything, Boomhauer shouldn't be friends with you because you treated him like crap, and you never asked him if hired those stripers. That's a lesson don't treat your friends like crap or assume the worse without letting them explain their actions or ask them if they did this. Of course, Dale tells Hank that Boomhauer didn't actually lie to his face. He just assumed he was lying because Boomhauer was trying to explain, but Hank was blinded by his rage and wouldn't listen. Dale makes a great point that Hank assumed that Boomhauer is trying to break up the marriage and should have asked him if he had tried to break up Patch and Katherine. Hank talks to Boomhauer and tries to save their friendship by asking him three questions: does he love Katherine? The thought of Patch marrying her tears him up inside, and, of course, did he hire those strippers? Boomhauer says yes twice and no once. Hank apologizes to Boomhauer for how he treated him. Still, Hank should have gotten a punch in the face or an ass-kicking from Boomhauer because he was at his worst in this episode. Now I understand that Hank did apologized to Boomhauer, and people who apologize for their mistakes or for being rude to their friends is a good thing that means they are true friend. It's just Hank was such a control freak in this episode, and someone needed to knock some sense into him.
Hank then realizes Patch hired those strippers, and I love how Boomhauer tells him not to fall off that dang o'horse. Hank agrees he deserves that, and they need to set things right. They go to the wedding rehearsal, Hank is about to expose Patch for the scumbag he truly is, but Katherine makes a speech. She reveals she still loves Boomhauer and believes that those stripers mean there might be something between Boomhauer and her. She breaks off her engagement with Patch, and Patch, being an idiot, tells her he hired the stripers. It disgusts everyone that he would do that, and Katherine calls him out, saying he is sleazy, and dumps him. Patch then tries to blame it on Hank, and I love how Peggy gives Hank a look. Hank looks back at her, all worried now.
In all fairness, I would like to see Katherine come back and maybe she and Boomhauer get together or they have a kid or something.
The episode ends with Boomhauer and Katherine saying goodbye as she leaves town for a bit. Boomhauer asks Hank if he will be his best man at his wedding. Which Hank responds. "Boomhauer, I be honored." So that was my review of Patch Boomhauer. It is one of the best episodes by fans, and the episode teaches us that we shouldn't assume the worst out of our friends. We should always be there for our true friends and not just forsake them for someone we're not as close to. That's a lesson for us always ask questions first.
(Google Image)
Now, we never know what happens to Patch, but it's likely he left Arlen on bad terms with Boomhauer and Hank. However, he does appear at Luanne and Lucky's wedding, so he may have patched things up with Boomhauer. It's also mentioned that Boomhauer has a nephew from Patch, so maybe he grew up after his son was born and is now trying to be a better role model for his kid. Still, this is a good episode of King of the Hill because it teaches us we should listen to our friends before passing harsh judgment on them if they did or didn't do something bad without asking them first.
Let me know what you think of my review.
