My thoughts on the Zelda film's release date and it's planned Trilogy.
It's been officially announced that the Zelda Movie will be released on March 26, 2027.
Now, this is a dream come true for me, as I have always wanted to see a Zelda film happen. It's finally happening, and yes, I do have concerns with this Zelda film. Let's face it: It will be live-action, produced by Avi Arad, and written by the guy who wrote Rise of Skywalker. So those are red flags, but I do like the director of the film, and after seeing Kingdom of the Apes, I have some hope for this film.
It's also been announced that the film will be a trilogy, which is a good move because I think you need to split the story into three parts or two for a movie like Zelda. It's still unknown if the film will adapt one of the games or write an original story. I would be good either way, but if I were to adapt a game, I would say Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past would work for a film adaptation. Other Zelda stories would work better in TV or animation form, like Breath of the Wild and Tears of a Kingdom, which would work better as a TV series, and Wind Waker would work better in animated form.
If they made an original story, many fans are worried they will mess it up, but the good news is that the Zelda Creators are on board with the film. I hope they listen to them and see their points. I mean, Universal Listen to Nintendo. The Mario film grossed a billion dollars at the box office.
Again, I don't know what they are doing with the Zelda film, but I like the trilogy idea, and I think Ocarina would be right for that.
The first film could focus on Link's childhood arc and end with him picking up the Master Sword. The second film covers the Forest Temple, Fire Temple, and Water Temple; the final movie covers the Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, and Ganondorf's castle.
Also I hope Link and Zelda have a romance in the film.
I also heard rumors that they want to film the movie in New Zealand. That would be cool, but I don't know if it's true. That's my thoughts on the upcoming Zelda film release date, which will be released in 2027. It will be going up against Sonic 4, and they might delay the film for a month or a few. This could happen because movies and shows get delayed constantly, and the Sonic films are very popular. We shall see what they do, and I hope it's good and we get a great Zelda film series.
Let me know what you think and I think we can all agree if Link says this quote in the film.
That means the film is going to suck
Or if this scene gets adapted.
