Should Kevin Feige step down as MCU President?

Should Kevin Feige step down as MCU President?

So it was recently announced online that Kevin Feige will remain with the MCU, unlike Kathleen Kennedy and Bob Iger. Now, many fans like myself have loved what Kevin Feige has done. He has launched a fantastic cinematic universe that, sadly, has fallen from grace after Phase 4, but with a few diamonds in the rough. Now I respect Kevin Feige, and I loved his work, but lately I have disagreed with him on what he did after Phase 3 because he clearly didn't have a good plan. He adapted all-new, all-different Marvel, and that backfired on him. He did a good job with Deadpool and Wolverine, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Because he got James Gunn full creative control after he was unjustly fired), Spider-Man: No Way Home (Bringing back Tobey and Andrew was a great idea), and Thunderbolts, which I will admit I was shocked was good. He did give us a good Fantastic 4 film, and I know people are still mixed about that film.
I get it, but I still like it despite some of my criticisms. Now I've become more excited Gunn's DCU than Marvel now a days because they have made so many bad choices and stuff that I don't agree with like good examples are not recasting T'Challa that was a bad move in my opinion, as well other bad ideas were forced co-leads like Katy, pandering with agendas, quantity over quality, downgrading legacy characters like Thor, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and many more, giving us unlikeable characters like Iron Heart and She Hulk (Which is sad because I love that character but the show made her so unlikeable), hiring writers who never read the comics because according Nate Moore that's a red flag to hire a fan but hey jokes on them Gunn is hiring writers who are fans of these characters and giving them full creative control. At one point, they were almost considering renaming the X-Men because former Marvel producer Victoria Alonso thought the name was outdated. Still, jokes on her X-Men are not outdated names.
Now, these have been issues with the MCU lately, and to be fair, I do have my issues with the DCU, but overall, I've been happy about it, except for the direction they are going with Brave and the Bold. Now I can understand why Kevin wants to stay on board after Secret Wars, which will be the MCU's reset button, because they want to do a full reset, bring back characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, and Black Widow, and focus on the X-Men.
Kevin has always said that X-Men was the one Marvel project he wanted to make for years, but, as you know, Fox had the film rights and couldn't use the X-Men, nor could they make a deal as they did with Sony for Spider-Man. So I do understand he wants to make an X-Men film. This has been a dream for a long time, and it's finally happening. Hell, Deadpool and Wolverine were the first X-Men film, and he said the one thing he wanted Hugh Jackman to do to come back as Wolverine was put on the yellow suit with the mask, and I can't blame him, that suit delivered. Kevin knew that's what Wolverine fans had wanted to see for years was Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine wearing the comic-accurate suit, and we are getting that with Cyclops in Doomsday.
I really hope they do Cyclops justice in Doomsday.
However, Feige does need to step down and let someone have a crack at rebooting the MCU. Now, if they did that, would the person they hired do a good job, or might they do a bad job, or even worse? We don't know. Kevin needs to step down, give this to someone new, but it really all depends on whether Doomsday or Secret Wars flops. I wouldn't be surprised if he announces he is stepping down and that they are going forward with a full reset of the MCU. Or if the films turn out great and are box-office hits, then he will remain, and maybe he will acknowledge many of the mistakes made in the past couple of years.
Still, I admire Kevin Feige. This guy created one of the best cinematic universes, and some people say he should have retired after Phase 3 because it had such a good ending of a ten-year plan. Still, we shall see what the future holds for us, and I have to ask: Do you think Kevin Feige should stay as President of Marvel, or should he step down? Let me know.
