My Top 6 Favourite Black Superheroes from Marvel and DC.

(Google Image)
For Black History Month, I'm showing my top 12 favorite Black Superheroes from both Marvel and DC. So basically, I'm ranking them by each comic owned by Marvel and Dc. I grew up with a lot of these characters. I read about them in comics and watched them on tv and in movies.
I'm also going to show you who I would cast for these characters. Some have already been cast, but I'm still going to cast the characters anyway.

Here are my top favorite Black Superheroes from Marvel and DC.

Let's start with DC Comics.

6. Vixen

Vixen I like because she has the powers of all the animals in the animal kingdom. I also remember watching Justice League Unlimited, and I found it funny that she and Hawkgirl get along despite how she's John's current girlfriend and Hawkgirl is his ex. The character has also been a member of the Justice League; she's worked alongside many heroes in the DC Universe and has her own solo series. If I were to cast this character in a film or show, I would cast Zazie Beetz as Vixen.

5. Luke Fox/Batwing
Luke Fox, aka Batwing, is the son of Lucious Fox, who helps Batman with equipment. Luke became the second Batwing after David Zavimbe retired the mantle. Luke's Batwing suit is an all-armored Batman suit, kind of like an Iron Man type suit, and he became a member of the Bat-family. Batwing would play many events in Batman story arcs, such as the Court of Owls, where he defeated one of the Talons who almost killed his dad. He's gotten his own solo series as well. If they ever include Batwing in future DC film projects, I would cast Jordan Calloway as Batwing.

4. Kaldur/Aqualad

I was introduced to this character in Young Justice, and he was way cooler than Gar was. He also leads the team, and it was weird they usually make Robin the leader of a group of teenage superheroes, but the creators decided to do something different for a change, and it worked. Aqualad would become Aquaman in season three of Young Justice. Another thing I loved about Kaldur is he was an original character, and now he is a character is in the comics. Another thing I love about this character is he is the son of Black Manta, Aquaman's arch-enemy. I love the idea that Aquaman basically takes him in and teaches him how to use his powers for good instead of following his father's ways instead of becoming the next Black Manta.
If I were to cast this character, I would cast Jaden Smith.

3. Virgil Hawkins/Static Shock
Now I grew up with Static Shock because of Static Shock's TV show. I really enjoyed watching that show a lot as a kid. It was exciting, funny, emotional, and the show dealt with real-life issues like racism, bullying, and gun violence. Static Shock did a great job addressing real-life matters but at the same time still kept us entertained, unlike today's shows. I mean, Static Shock was a character I could relate to growing up.
The show also had great characters that we could all relate to. Virgil lost his mom, hung out with the wrong crowd, and made some bad choices in life, but after getting his powers, he uses their responsibility to help people. Also, his dad in the show is really cool too. I know Michael B Jordan is making a Static Shock movie, and here's who I would cast as Static Shock, and that is.
Caleb McLaughlin.

2. Cyborg
Now, like Static Shock, I was introduced to this character in Teen Titans, and he was one of the best characters on the show. He was hilarious, calm, and an absolute badass in fighting. In the New 52, they reintroduced characters as a founding member of the Justice League, and it worked great for the character. Cyborg also had a good origin story because he felt like an outcast after his transformation, but Flash was inspired to be a hero. Cyborg has gotten his solo series; he's led the Teen Titans and the Justice League. Love his catchphrase BooYah!
The character was played by Ray Fisher, and he was great in the Synder Cut, not the Whedon film. However, they might recast the role, so I would go with it. If I were to re-cast, I would go with...
John Boyega.

1. John Stewart/Green Lantern
Now I grew up with this character in Justice League, the animated series, and I've met the voice actor of John Stewart Phil Morris. He's a great guy, and he also voiced Static Shock too. I love John because he was a skilled military soldier who became a Green Lantern after facing off against a rouge manhunter. He's the Green Lantern we all grew up within the 2000s. I will admit Hal Jordan is my favorite Green Lantern, but John is my second favorite, and in How I would Start the DCEU, the film would be about both Hal and John. John would also get an origin story in the movie, and I would see the character become a member of the Justice League. John Stewart was one of the most remarkable characters on Justice League, the animated series, because there was the two-parter episode where his ring loses its power. Still, he's a skilled military soldier, so he knows how to fight without his crew. That's what makes John so cool.
If I were to cast John Stewart in any future Green Lantern film or the upcoming show, I would cast Trevante Rhodes.

Now Marvel Comics.

6. Jim Rhodes/War Machine
Who doesn't love War Machine? Jim Rhodes has been with us in the comics and the MCU films for a long time. The character has even taken up the mantle of Iron Man, has had his own solo series, been Avenger, and has to lead his own team known as Force Works. I also love War Machine in the MCU films, and I'm looking forward to Armour Wars with Rhodey as the main lead.

5. Sam Wilson/Falcon
Now, Falcon, I love from the Captain America series, and he's had his own comic series as well. Not to mention I loved Falcon in the MCU films, and now the character is currently Captain America. I'm looking forward to seeing Captain America 4 with Anthony Mackie returning as Cap. As well-loved Falcon in Winter Solider, he was one of the best characters in the film, and he went from a well-written strong supporting character to becoming his own lead in Falcon and Winter Solider. I look forward to seeing more Captain America in future films.

4. Miles Morales/Spiderman
Now Miles is a character who I read about in the Ultimate Universe. Now they moved the character to the mainstream after Secret Wars. Spider-Verse, to me, is one of the best Spiderman films, and Miles was its main lead, and Miles is just one of the best characters in the film. Miles was relatable, and we could understand his struggles being Spiderman because, like Peter Parker, it is a leap of faith becoming Spiderman. I'm looking forward to Spider-Verse 2 and seeing where the character goes in the next film.
If Miles ever joins the MCU, and we all know the character's uncle Aaron Davis played by Donald Glover, was in Homecoming, we will see Miles eventually. If I were to cast the role, I would go with Miles Brown.

3. Storm
I love Storm. She is one of my favorite X Men, and she was one of my superhero crushes. Storm has led the X Men in many series like Gold, Astonishing, and she's been the queen of Wakanda. She's also had her own solo series too. Storm is also a firm believer in Charle's dream for mutants and humans living together in peace, and she often would try to use diplomacy instead of force to prove that point. Storm is also an absolute badass in battle, a good combat leader, and she even became the goddess of thunder once, but she got her own hammer instead of taking Thor's hammer. Storm is, without a doubt, one of the best X-Men characters in comics.
When they introduce Storm in the MCU, I cast Kylie Bunbury as Storm.

2. Luke Cage
Now, Luke Cage, I've known since reading New Avengers, I've grown to really like this character. He's led the New Avengers, The Mighty Avengers, and even the Thunderbolts. Luke was the first Black Superhero to get his own ongoing series. I will admit his old costume looked silly. They even poked fun of it in the Netflix show. Luke Cage's powers are pretty cool like he has unbreakable skin, which is a pretty cool power to have, and he's very skilled in combat too. The character has gone through many hard times, but he doesn't give up because he keeps fighting for his wife, Jessica Jones, and their daughter Danielle Cage.
I hope they bring back Mike Colter as Luke Cage like they did with Charlie Cox as Daredevil. I would love to see him lead the New Avengers.

1. T'Challa/Black Panther
Black Panther is my favorite black superhero. I really love this character. He is the most dangerous man alive, and he's basically like Batman if Batman was a king. T'Challa has to lead the Avengers, he leads Wakanda, he has faced struggles and danger, but he doesn't give up. One of my favorite runs was The Man Without Fear arc and Most Dangerous Man Alive arc because we see him in exile, but he's still fighting and protecting New York as a superhero. He also does this to fill in for Daredevil after leaving Hell's Kitchen after Shadowland.
Black Panther was the first black superhero in comics created by the man Stan Lee, and this character has become an iconic hero in the black community. Stan wanted to develop a feeling for black readers to see themselves as. As well Stan Lee supported the civil rights movement, and his comics called out the racism in the world. Stan Lee once said. "Bigotry and racism are among the deadliest social ills plaguing the world today,” What he said was true.

I also love the Black Panther film, even though sad to watch now since Chadwick Boseman passed.
Rest in Power.
Now sadly as we all know Chadwick Boseman who play Black Panther died, but I really hope Marvel recasts the role of T'Challa because Chadwick wanted people to see the character he played and his family says he would have wanted T'Challa recasted to continue the character's story. The fans want a recast too and I want to see the role get recast to keep Chad's character alive because it would just be a tragedy to end his character's story so soon without giving the character a proper ending.
I really hope like everyone else they won't kill off T'Challa in the next Black Panther film because let me tell ya the reaction will be highly negative if the first trailer confirms T'Challa is dead again.
If I were to recast the role of T'Challa I would cast John David Washington as T'Challa/Black Panther. For the character of T'Challa must continue because that character needs a proper ending.
#RecastT'Challa
#SaveT'Challa
To Honour the Memory of Chadwick Boseman and the Legacy he left behind.

So those are my Top 12 Favourite Black Superheroes from Marvel and DC.

How Marvel should have made Eternals.

Hey everyone much likes how I would make Black Widow and Shang Chi. I'm doing one for Eternals and here is how I think Eternals should have been made and what the issues were with the film.

I saw the movie and I have to be honest it is the most boring Marvel film ever and you just can't connect with the characters in the film.

Like here are the problems with the film and here's how I would have made it.

9. Sersi was a boring lead.

Sersi was our main lead and I won't say I have anything against the actress who played her. I just felt her character was badly written in the film because she's so boring and there's nothing really interesting about her. All we know is she loves humanity, she was dating Ikrais and later Dane, she's chosen as the new leader of the Eternals, and that's it.
This character was just a bad lead and I'm sure in future films they will likely improve on the character. I just feel like the character Sersi could have been written better as a lead. That's another thing I hate the idea of sidelining the main character in films is bad but when you make the main character boring and bland that's just as bad sidelining the main lead. In future films or shows please make this character more interesting, entertaining to watch, let's see her face struggles and how she overcomes them, and just give her more of a personality.

8. The Deviants weren't good villains and they were just bland and boring.

The Deviants of the film are the villains although it's revealed that Ikaris is the real villain but I'll get into that later. The Deviants are cool but there was nothing really interesting about them.
I mean the Deviants in the comics look like this and I'm wondering if they didn't make them like this Shazam did something similar with the Seven Deadly Sins but it worked like they were very terrifying villains. The deviants were not that good of villains maybe if they ever bring back they will do a better job. As well the film should have an actual villain with a clear purpose in the film.
Like if you could have Kro become a more interesting villain instead of just killing him off just like that by Thena. You could have done more with the character in this film or saved him for the sequel.

7. I don't think they needed to gender swap or race swap some of the characters they could have expanded on more pre-existing characters.

Now in the film, they gender swap and race swap three Eternals Ajax, Sprite, and Makkari. I mean in my opinion they didn't have to do that because there are more female Eternals they could have used instead like Pixie instead of Sprite, Titanis, and Cybele. There are lots of female Eternals they could have used instead. I just wish they would have expanded on pre-existing female and ethnic characters for representation and diversity.
For example, If I was making this film would have cast Selma Hayek as Cybele, Lauren Ridloff as Titanis, and Lia McHugh as Pixie. For Ajak, Makkari, and Sprite I would have cast Sam Heughan as Makkari, Jacob Tremblay as Sprite, and Benjamin Bratt as Ajak. I just think this is what they should have done instead, to quote producer Barbara Broccoli "I believe we should be creating new characters for women-strong female characters. I'm not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play him."

6. The film should haven't have changed its origins.

Now the film changes the origins of the character's history and the origin of the Eternals. I know most fans are not happy with these changes, especially about Olympia. The fact they are androids is just kind of weird and just lazy writing. I can understand why a major amount of Eternals fans are going to be pissed off about these changes.

5. There are too many characters in this film.

There are too many characters.
One problem this film had was it had ten main characters and that isn't a good idea for a film like this. In the first Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy are main characters were six to five members. That's a good way to introduce a team of five or six characters if you go with ten in the first film it won't work. Like Lord of the Rings had nine main characters but it worked because they give each their own quest. Also in the Avengers films, they build up the team and introduce new members of the team in each film.

Like if they had gone with six members the group of Eternals like this drawing would be the main rooster.
Ikaris, Sersi, Makkari, Thena, Titanis, and Kingo. We also could have had Black Knight in the film and he actually becomes Black Knight in the third act of the film.
That could have been a good team to introduce a simple team of six members that expand the MCU. Doing ten members didn't work. I mean if they did the Eternals tv series it would have worked with ten characters which made everyone think why wasn't this a show it would have worked better as a tv series. Each episode would expand on each character.

4. A TV series for the Eternals would have worked better
Now that's another thing an Eternal TV series would have worked better. If they did a Disney plus tv series about Eternals I think it would have worked much better than a movie. Now don't get me wrong Chloe Zhao is a great director but she didn't do a good job with this film. Every great director has a bad film once in a while. I just think a show would have worked better than a movie about the Eternals. Like the film would focus on ten characters in their own episodes that's something a tv show can do that a movie can't.

3. The characters aren't interesting, they're bland, and most of all boring.

I will say Kingo was my favorite character in the film. Like's he's the only character I liked because I'm a big Silicon Valley fan.
As I watch this film I just couldn't connect with the characters of this film. Like they were boring and I just felt nothing for them they weren't interesting enough. Maybe it was because there were too many characters in this film like it wasn't your typical MCU Team up the film. Like look at Guardians of the Galaxy they were an unknown group but James Gunn manage to make each character interesting, balance each character's arc and development, and most of all focus on the most important characters in the film. Again I think this film should have six characters and should have been the main focus and introduce more Eternals in future films or have other Eternals in the film but they are just supporting characters and we just focus more on our main six characters.

2. Making Ikaris the villain didn't work.
Now in the comics, Ikaris is the face of the Eternals like he is one of Jack Kirby's iconic characters well not as great as Cap, Iron Man, and Thor though. When people think of the Eternals they think of him. A lot of fans likely hate how this character was written in the film. He has led the Eternals but he's not like that in the film like in the original idea he was going to be the main character along with Sersi but they changed that. I just hate the fact they made him a villain and in the end, he hates himself for what he did and kills himself. Which is like WTF. I mean he will likely come back because no one stays dead and they might redeem his character in the next film if it happens, but this film I felt did the character wrong. Much like Cyclops in the X-Men films. If they do bring him back please redeem his character and write him the way Jack wrote him.
Hell, I think Jack Kirby himself would hate this film for what they did to his character or pretty much all his characters. Like Ikrias should be the main character or a co-lead with Sersi and he could have become the new leader along with Sersi after their break up and they are chosen to lead the Eternals together. Originally that was the plan but they changed it.
Drug would have been the main villain of the film if I was making it.
If you ask me Drug should have been the villain of the film. Now I know some might say that would have been too obvious but I think he would have made more sense because he and Ikaris are cousins and he's always hated him. The film could have pulled a twist that it was Drug who was the real mastermind and the deviants follow him because he wants to be worshiped as a god and maybe he has Ikaris kill Ajax with his mind control abilities that would have worked better.

1. Black Knight should have been in the film I think more fans wanted to see him.

Now the biggest letdown is Black Knight. I mean the character was announced in the film and fans were more excited because Black Knight is a popular character in the comics. Unfortunately, he doesn't become Black Knight in the film and I think what would have saved the film is if you had this character appear in the full costume and have him fight the Deviants along with the Eternals. This could lead to a spin-off film or tv series about the character. I know Marvel is setting that up but I feel like the character should have at least worn his iconic costume and used the Ebony Blade. The end credit is setting him up and he does meet with Blade so they are setting him up.
We did see the sword in the end credit scene and with Thena.
It just would have been cool to see it in action.
Also, the Star Fox cameo was cool and Harry Styles is a good choice for the role.
We will see more of the character and he is Thanos's brother.

So that's how I think Eternals should have been made and these are just my opinions on the film. If you agree or disagree that's fine I'm just sharing how I think this film should have been made. As well I think this film is also a lesson to Marvel Studios that they should focus more on story and character instead of making a film that's bland and boring.
What do you think do you agree or disagree with my blog. Let me know and leave a comment.

If I could give advice to the MCU about Phase 4

If I could advise Marvel Studios.

Now, after last year's Marvel films. I have to admit I'm not really big on the direction the MCU is going, and there are specific ideas they are going with that I'm not too big on. I also recently just watched the Moon Knight trailer and it was incredible really hope they don't mess up this character. He's Marvel Batman. Treat him with respect.
Now I've talked to people about phase 4 of the MCU, and I've had people who are excited and have issues about where the MCU is going. I even know people who are done with the MCU after Endgame. I have mentioned my concerns and the problems I had with Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals, and I also had some issues with Wanda Vision, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier, Loki, I, and Hawkeye.
Not Spiderman No Way Home. Though that movie was excellent, it was the best MCU film of Phase 4.

Now, if I were to give Marvel Studios advice, here's what I would tell them.

Advice number 4.
Stop sidelining your main character for a co-lead.
I have noticed a lot in Phase 4 that Marvel films or shows always sideline the main character whose name is in the title of the movie or show. A good example is Shang Chi; in the film, he has a co-lead named Katey, played by Awkwafina, and she is so annoying in that film. She's an original character, and I'm all for original characters. She was so poorly written, and her character was so irritating and forced, and there's no way she had a great aim on a day when fighting the Mandarin. Shang didn't need a co-lead. You could have given him a love interest, a solid supporting character; it should have been Leiko Wu's character from the comics. As well his sister in the film also side-lined him too. The film should have focused more on Shang and his struggles, him trying to become a great fighter and someone who doesn't want to kill people to solve his problems. The film didn't have to sideline him in his own movie. That's not a good idea at all. It just ruins the character.

We also saw this again in Black Widow. In the film Black Widow. She was long overdue for her own solo film, and she was sidelined for her sister, who will take over as Black Widow in phase 4. It just felt like this movie was a big slap in the face towards the character of Natasha Romanoff and Scarlet too.

In his own show, Loki is such a huge fan favorite whom many wanted to see get his own movie or show. He gets beaten down and sidelined for a female version of him. Sliva was an interesting character, but the shift focused more on her than him.

In Hawkeye, the same thing happens. Clint Barton is sidelined for Kate Bishop. Now I like Kate Bishop. I've read comics about her. She's a great character, but the show should focus on Hawkeye, aka Clint Barton, not to mention it would have been cool to see him fight Kingpin. Like Kate should have been like Sam Wilson was in Winter Soldier, a solid supporting character who always has the character's back, not steal the show from him.

My advice to Marvel Studios would be to focus more on your main character whose title is in the movie or show. Like Spiderman No Way Home is a great example, the film had Tobey and Andrew come back, but they didn't sideline Tom's Spiderman. He was still the main focus of the film. That's what they need to do in future movies or shows focus on the main lead, just give that character a solid supporting cast but don't give that character a forced co-lead that has no reason to be there or see our main character get to talk down too or just sidelined for no good reason.

Advice number 3.

Stop giving us too many sympathetic villains.
One issue many people have now in films and shows is that we are getting too many sympathetic villains.
She killed a dog.
John Wick has taught us that you are the worst human being ever if you kill a dog.

It's getting to the point we're not getting good villains that we love to hate anymore. In phase 4, we had Agatha, and she killed Sparky, that poor dog. And she's getting her own show? I'm sorry I can't watch a show about someone who killed a dog. I can't. Also, in Wanda Vision, if you look at Scarlet Witch, she was just as much as the villain of that show. She took over a whole town, and she got away with what she did. It did bother a lot of fans because I remember in the story House of M Scarlet Witch messed up reality, and at the end of the series, she went into exile for her crimes as punishment for what she did.
Her cause is understandable, but terrorism is never the answer.

Look at Flag-Smasher, making her a sympathetic character despite her killing so many innocents. Mandarin is trying to bring back his wife. Why not have him try to take over the world again? The plot twist with Ikrais in Eternals didn't work at all, and the fact that he kills himself is stupid, and Black Widow, her mother, is the reason for what's happening to her, and she gets a pass for what she's done, hell the other villains were lame too, and I mean they ruin Taskmaster for a lot of fans. Seriously you couldn't have gone with Red Widow?
I mean, we've waited years for a proper Mandarin although he looked relaxed,
but the issue was motivation in the film.

Even outside of Marvel, we are getting too many sympathetic villains. Like, look at Joker. I mean, I love that movie, and one thing they did right was that we don't feel sorry for him anymore because he's the Joker. Other films like Cruella make a woman who wants to wear puppies' fur as a coat have to be made sympathetic. I can't support someone who wears the fur of dead animals. I can't!

Like we love villains for how evil they are, we've gotten great sympathetic villains, but they still do horrible things and need to answer for their crimes. No one is above Justice. That's a fact. However, in this day and age, villains have to be viewed as heroes or in the right, but they kill innocents to prove their point.

The What If series gives us better villains like Ultron, who was a lot better in the what-if series than the actual film, and Kilmonger shows us he's one of the best villains in the MCU.

Like Green Goblin was by far the best Phase 4 villain.

But the issue is Marvel needs to stop giving us sympathetic villains. We need to have villains we love to hate for all the horrible things they've done. Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin is the main villain in No Way Home, and he kills Aunt May. Sure, Spiderman is trying to cure him and the other villains in the film, but Green Goblin was a fantastic villain.

Come on, Marvel gives us more villains to hate, not to sympathize with. I'll provide Magneto and Dr. Doom exceptions but still make them do horrible things. There are also Marvel Villains you cannot make sympathetic, like Red Skull, The Human Council, Sin, Purple Man, The Purifiers, and many more.

Advice number 2.
Give us characters we want to see on the big screen or TV.
Since Disney bought Fox, so many fans have been excited to see the X Men, Fantastic 4, Silver Surfer, and Galactus in future projects. Now they are developing ideas for X Men, and we have a Fantastic 4 film on the way, and it makes sense they want to reboot Fantastic 4 first because that franchise needs a good movie.
However, fans want to see the characters they know best get adapted first. Still, unfortunately, we're getting characters from the All-New, All-Different Marvel era, which does raise red flags because we saw how poor the sales were in that era.
However, I should keep an open mind because I am excited for Dr. Strange 2, and I'm excited for Thor Love and Thunder because those films are made by two of my favorite directors, Sam Raimi and Taika Waititi. Still, my advice is to give fans the characters they really want to see on the big screen, like the X Men, Nova, Thunderbolts, etc. As well, please respect those characters and make them great characters.

Now the MCU is likely planning these adaptions for Phase 5, no doubt; I'm okay with that if they want to take some time and really work on a good idea about how to introduce these characters. I just wish they would be working on them now. I made four Wolverine film ideas on my blog.

Advice Number 1
You got to go back to how you made old films with stories and characters.
Back in Phase 1, 2, and 3, we got some of the best Marvel films, like Winter Soldier, which is still considered one of the Best Marvel films. It is an excellent example of a movie that didn't sideline its main lead, give the character a tremendous supporting cast, a good villain, and focus on the story development and character development.
Phase 4 didn't have that because, like the film, the stories were weak, and the characters weren't interesting enough except for Spiderman No Way Home. That was the only awesome one because it had a great story. It also did a better job developing Peter Parker's character, and he had a strong connection with Tobey's and Andrew's Spiderman. They also did a good job developing Tobey and Andrew's Spidermen in the film. Now, when you do an MCU marathon, you have to include Tobey's and Andrew's films, now lol.
That was the main problem with Marvel's 2021 films. They lacked interest in characters, and the stories were weak. There is so much more they could have done if you asked me. Out of all, the Black Widow deserved better, as I mentioned in my previous blogs.
Marvel needs to focus on telling a good story by not adding any force agendas down our throats because I think Story and Character come first before anything when writing a film. If you have a message in your story, that's good but make sure the story and the characters come first. Why do you think comics sales aren't good right now, and no one is reading any comics because the writers they have right now just don't understand their characters, and they just butcher them. That's just how I feel about comics today.

I'm excited for Thor 4, Dr. Strange 2, and Black Panther 2. However, I really hope Marvel will recast T'Challa because a better way to honor Chadwick Boseman is to keep his character alive, continue his character's story, and give him a proper ending like Iron Man and Captain America.

Hopefully, this year, films will be better and are more story-driven, character-driven, and not side-lining the main character for a forced co-lead. I hope Marvel gets better and maybe learns from some bad decisions they made.
(Google Image)
So this is the advice I would give to Marvel Studios because I knew they would one day lose their winning streak, but I do want them to do a good job still because I still love Marvel despite my issues with the current state of Marvel. Let me know what you think about leaving a comment, and do you agree with me or not? If you do, that's great, but I understand if you don't think that's fine. If you like the direction they are going, that's fine. I'm just giving my feedback on where the MCU is right now.

Eternals Review

My Review of Eternals

So I finally saw Eternals, and here is my review of it....this film was so dull and boring. There's a reason it's a Marvel's first film to get bad write-ups. I could not connect with the characters in this film, and I just couldn't get into the story. I mean, sure, the special effects and visuals were outstanding, I will admit that, but the film itself is boring. Like plot is a bit confusing and drags on, but this film is just not that good. Its characters are just bland and not good.

Like the Eternals are an unknown group in Marvel, they were created by the late great Jack Kirby, but this film doesn't capture the magic he made. The film's cast did a good job, and I will say the diversity and representation are good, but the main problem is the characters are not that interesting, and the story doesn't work. Still, I did like Kingo, but everyone else I found was bland, and the main character Sersi she, was not a good lead in this film. Nothing against the actress. It's just her character wasn't a good lead. Everyone just wasn't that interesting to get invested in at all. I'm sure comic fans will say the books are better and the characters are better.
I mean, if this was the Eternals film
this would have been interesting to watch.
Jack envisioned this, and it would be really cool to do something like this.
Most Jack Kirby fans will say this is what we should have gotten.

I did ask friends what they thought of this film, and I watched reviews for this film. Some of my friends say it was terrible and boring, and some liked it. As you can read, I was not a fan of this film, and I just did not like it. If I was an Eternals fan, like if I had read the books, I would have been angry by this film.

The Diversity and Representation of this film are good, but the main problem was the characters and the story.

Now I have nothing against the actors or the director of this film. I feel like this film had terrible writing and wasn't good. I don't think director Chloe Zhao didn't do an excellent job with this film, but she is a good director. I've heard her other work is really amazing. But you know every good director has their lousy movie once in a while. We got to acknowledge that, especially Marvel Studios. I've seen interviews they don't want to admit that they made a bad film.
I just found this film boring, and it could have been done better. It could have been something epic and an exciting take on the Marvel Universe.
Also again, all the actors in the film are great. I've seen them in other movies and shows they are all very talented and excellent actors.
Also, the romance between these two was weak.
Fun Fact, while in development, the film was originally going to be a love story about
Ikrais and Sersi. However, they changed it though.
Ikrais and Sersi were going to be the film's main leads, but they changed that idea. I think an actual Superhero Romance film would have been an exciting concept.

I remember one critic said the problem why this film was poorly received was because it's directed by a woman, and I'm looking at this guy like no, that's not the problem, that's never been the problem, it's just the film was bad and poorly written.
This is just how I feel about The Eternals
There are plot twists in the film that just didn't work. They had no place in the story. I also the deviants were not engaging in villains. I also admit the celestials were really cool in the film.
A lot of Jack Kirby fans already do hate this film because many view this film as an insult to Jack Kirby's work on the Eternals. I can't blame them because this film isn't how Jack Kirby would imagine it on the big screen.
This film could have been better or more enjoyable.

I give Eternals 4 out of 10. If you like this film, that's fine, but I just don't like this film at all because of the story, characters, and like how this film was made. I admit the post-credit scenes were exciting and set up a bigger world. Still, this movie was boring and bad.

Another big disappointment was Black Knight. He doesn't become Black Knight in the film. Originally Black Knight was supposed to play a significant role in the movie, but that got scrapped. Now I know Marvel does have big plans for the character. I know they are setting him up for future films or maybe even a Black Knight film or show.  It would be cool to have this character show up or something. It would have made the movie more exciting.
