An Extermely Goofy Movie Review to celebrate 25 years of this film.

To celebrate 25 years of an Extremely Goofy Movie, which is a sequel to A Goofy Movie. In the film, Max is going to college, and he's so excited to be leaving. Goofy, of course, is sad that his son is leaving and won't be home for Christmas. In the film, Max is trying to win the X Games, and he has a bet with Bradly Uppercut, the third leader of the Gamma House. If he loses, he will be his towel boy. Now, Goofy loses his job at a factory, so he has to go back to college to get a degree. He goes to Max's school, and Max dislikes it immensely.
Eventually, Goofy meets Silva, and the two of them fall in love, which makes you think Goofy has a girlfriend who doesn't look like him in drag, unlike Mickey and Donald.
The film itself was funny, had a great voice cast, and when I watched it as a kid, I thought this is what college life would be like, but it wasn't. All those college movies and shows we watched were lies; I went to college, and it was stressful, depending on the course I was in. Now, the film is basically about letting your kids go out and just getting your own life, understanding that your kids are grown up and want to do things on their own.
That's the plot for Goofy as he needs to get his own life, and Max will always be his son, but he's now his own man and wants to do new things. As well, you have to keep focus on what you want to do in life.
Now, the film is not as good as A Goofy Movie, but it's still a fun movie and very nostalgic. Also, the songs are good too. It's also the last appearance of Bobby and PJ. I love that Bobby asks the question we all have been asking about cartoon characters. "Do you ever wonder why we're always wearing gloves?" That line is funny, and the last time we saw Bobby, he was one of the funniest characters.
Also, the poet girl in the film was funny, and she's a cool character, and now there's so much cosplay of her.
Now the film doesn't mention Roxanne, so it implies that she and Max broke up because Max is flirting with a lady at the work store. It's a shame that everyone loved Max and Roxanne; they could have mentioned that they are taking a break, as she's going to a different school. Still, who knows? Maybe next time they bring back Max Goof, they might bring Roxanne back.
Bradley Uppercut was a good villain in this film, and in the end, when he was defeated, he accepted his defeat like a gentleman until Max called off the bet. Tank, his former best friend, launches him into a blimp, and since it's a cartoon, he likely survived and got expelled for cheating at the X games. Also I never get the shipping between Max and Bradley it doesn't make any sense. Additionally, the ending of the film was good, and I particularly liked the scene where Goofy runs to save Max, and in the end, Max wins the race.
As kids, we didn't get it. As adults, we get it. Also, the 70s music was great too.
I thoroughly enjoy this film because it's a fun movie to watch and a feel-good film. I give An Extremely Goofy Movie a 7 out of 10.
