My Top Ten Best Futurama Episodes.

My Top Ten Best Futurama Episodes!

Futurama was one of my favourite shows, and even though Futurama had a grand finale and should have ended there, it's good to have the show back, and the current and last season were pretty good. Here is my top ten list of the best Futurama episodes, with honorable mentions. Now enjoy and...

I met John Dimaggio at Comic Con. He was so funny and signed an autograph for my uncle.

10. Second That Emotion
This episode is so funny because Bender is jealous of Nibbler, and he flushes him down the toilet, and they put a chip on him to understand Leela's pain. I found it funny when Bender feels her emotions, and he goes up to Fry and yells at him for no reason, all because she's jealous of Amy.
This episode was hilarious, and we also get to see Leela's parents in this episode, making a cameo appearance. Also, Bender teaches Leela it's okay not to care once in a while and also save Nibbler which I find funny because he can eat anything but he can't eat El Chupanire.

9. Less Than A Hero
Less than a Hero is a funny episode where Fry, Leela, and Bender become superheroes after some lotion gave Fry and Leela powers. This episode was funny, and we also see how being a superhero is hard as Leela's parents are coming up from the sewers to see her. Now she later tells her parents, and Dad lets it slip out. One of their villains captures Leela's parents, so in the end, they have to help and save Leela's parents. This episode was hilarious and well-written.

8. X-Mas Story
The Christmas story is brilliant. Like the idea of Christmas, you have to protect yourself, as a robot Santa will come and kill you. Additionally, the episodes explore Fry's loneliness during Christmas, as everyone he knew from his past is now deceased, but Leela is an orphan who never had a family. The episode had many funny moments, such as Bender falling into an ice lake, and it also parodied Charlie Brown. Also, the ending of the episode was funny, and Leela and Fry's romance really starts to bloom as Fry really does care for her, as does she. Also, Bender starts stealing for poor robots, and I love how the robot Santa condemns them for not thinking of Dr. Zoidberg because it's making fun of how the group mistreats Zoidberg. The Robot Santa is the only character that cares about him. This is a great episode to watch for Christmas.

7. Leela's Homeworld
Now, this is one of the emotional Futurama episodes as Leela finally meets her birth parents. Leela always wonders where she came from, and when she meets two mysterious people, she believes they killed her parents, but in truth, they are actually Leela's parents, and Leela is, in fact, a mutant from the sewers. The ending was very heart-warming as Leela finally reunites with her parents, and they give her up because they wanted her to have a better life than they could give her. They were also always there for her when she needed love, and Fry helped her learn the truth of who they were. This is why Fry and Leela are perfect for each other.

6. The Bots and the Bees
In this episode, Bender meets his son, Ben, and it's a heartwarming father-son story that shows how much Bender cares about his son. The episode had Bender trying to help his son, but he also learns he might lose the ability to bend things as he's got an error, and the only way to fix it is by removing his bending strength. This episode shows how hard it can be to be a parent and always do what's right for your kid. Despite Bender always being a lovable jerk, we do see his caring side.

5. Hell is the Other Robot
Now, in this episode, Bender gets addicted to electricity, which is basically crack to robots. When his problem gets bad, he gets into religion, which helps him, but he gets too good to the point where they want him back as he was. However, he gets sent to hell by the robot devil, and there is a musical number about Robot Hell, and Fry and Leela go to save him. The episode ends with Bender getting them out, and Bender decides to balance his good and evil. It's a great episode.

4. The Devil's hands are idle playthings
This episode was both funny and brilliant, featuring a good musical number. Fry wants to be good at playing Holophonor, a musical flute that projects images to impress Leela, as he is in love with her. So he decides to make a deal with the robot devil, who is excellent at playing instruments, so he gets his hands on a star. Leela loves her work, but she goes deaf and can't hear his music. So, she makes a deal with the devil robot, but she has to marry him. There is a significant musical number as they perform, and Fry, in the end, gives back the devil's hands. At first, Zoidberg encourages him to play with his awful hands, but he boos him after.
Still this was a great episode and ends on a high note.
It's great they are together now.

3. Game of Tones
Now this is another emotional episode where Fry wants to see his mom again, and so Nibbler sends him back in time in his mind. Also, because he has saved the world from a mysterious threat. As he does, we see Fry, for example, take Seymour, his dog, with him instead of leaving him alone. Also, Seth MacFarlane guest-starred as Seymour. We also see how much Fry wanted to tell his mom before he got frozen how much he loved her.
Fry's story is actually sorrowful; he outlived everyone he loved and cared for.
The episode's ending is heartwarming as Fry and his mom watch a football game, and he hugs her. We see Fry's mom wake up and see a photo of him, and she goes back to sleep, smiling to see him again. This episode shows how much Fry loved his mom, and she loved him in return. It's always for a parent to lose a kid or a kid losing a parent because you don't get that special love anymore.

2. The Luck of the Fryish
In this episode, Fry remembers a lucky clover that helped him, and he wants to find it, as he recalls hiding it in his dad's vault. This episode also deals with his relationship with his brother Yancy, who always fights with him, and he hated the fact that Fry had a better name than he did. One thing I love about this episode is that we can all relate to having an older or younger sibling who treated us like crap and we had nasty fights, but deep down we still love them. When Fry finds a statue of Yancy, he realizes he stole his clover and even changed his name. Fry hates his brother for this and goes to the grave to get the clover; however, he learns that it wasn't his brother, but actually his nephew, who was named after Fry, as Yancy deeply missed him after he went missing. This episode was very heart-warming, and the song Don't You Forget About Me was a great choice to end the episode.
It shows Fry that his brother loved and honored him by naming his son after him.

Honourable Mentions...

In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela
This episode was total fan service if you think about it. I mean, Leela is naked in this episode, but hey, the episode was funny, and the ending was funny too. Especially, when Fry is begging for censorship but the computer approves.

Meanwhile
Meanwhile, the series finale of Futurama was where Fry and Leela got married, and they stopped time to spend time together. This was a grand finale, and I still don't get why they had to make more, but so far, the new seasons are pretty good.

Paradox
In this episode, it explores the Multiverse and how Fry learns that there is a version of him where Leela and he are married. Also love how Bender says "Bite my glorious golden ass!" This episode, going to alternate realities, is funny.

Anthology of Interest Part One and Two
These are what-if episodes, and they are so funny, both parts, especially the Wizard of Oz and Iron Giant parody.

Where No Fan Has Gone Before
In this episode, it discusses Star Trek and brings back most of the original cast, except for two of them. Also, I thought it was so funny when it's revealed that Mellvar's mom appears, and Fry is like "Oh he was just a child." and the mom responds "He's 34 and lives in the basement." I laugh at that.

The Cyber House Rules.
This episode features Leela with two eyes, but she realizes that Fry was right: she was better off being herself, because the guy she liked only liked her for having two eyes. Also, Bender adopts the Orphans and gives them their own orphanage, despite being mean in the end. He did love those kids very much.

Amazon Women in the Mood
The Snu Snu episode was so funny, and I think most guys would rather die from Snu Snu than any other type of death.

The Sting
The Sting is an episode where Fry dies and Leela has a hard time with it, but it's later revealed that Leela was in a coma, as the sting from the Bee didn't kill Fry; it went right through him, but Leela got the poisoned instead. This episode also shows how much Fry loves Leela and how much she truly does, too.

The Honking
The Honking is a funny werewolf parody where Bender turns into a werecar and Fry and Leela have to lift the curse by killing the original werecar. I found it amusing how the first werecar was supposed to be just evil, but it turned out to be pure evil. I also thought it was funny how Fry is so upset that Bender tries to kill Leela first instead of him. This episode was hilarious, and I had a great laugh with it.

and the number one best episode is...

1. Jurassic Bark
This episode is the best one because it's the hardest one to watch. After all, it's a tear-jerker. I can't watch this episode without crying. Now, in the episode, Fry finds out his dog Seymour, whom he found on the streets, was fossilized at the museum, and Farnsworth tells him he can take some DNA and clone him with all his personality and memories of Fry. Fry agrees to it as he wants to be reunited with Seymour, as he deeply missed him.
The love Fry had for his dog is touching and sad. What's even more heartbreaking is that his last words to Seymour were "I'll be right here." Seymour even finds Fry, but no one believes him.
However, Bender gets jealous and feels like he's being replaced, but in the end, he sees how Fry cares for Seymour even after throwing the fossil in the lava, to which Bender later saves Fry. In the end, they are about to bring him back until Farnsworth learns that he died at the right age of 15. To which Fry begins to think Seymour moved on with his life and likely spent his remaining days with Fry's family. However, the end of the episode, and let me tell ya, it's the saddest scene that even the writers and actors cried while making it.
Seymour continued to wait for Fry until he passed away. I remember seeing this scene when I was a kid, and I cried, as did my mom and sister. If you have a dog, show it so much love before it leaves. Jurassic Bark is the best episode because it's the hardest episode to watch.
(Google Image)
One day, I hope they will do an episode where Seymour comes back to life, and Fry and he are finally reunited. I mean, we got that in the Futurama films, but still, we all wanted a happier ending for Seymour.
However, despite being the saddest episode, it gives us fan service with Leela and Amy wrestling outfits.
Talk about fan service in one of its best and saddest episodes.

That's my Top Ten Best Futurama Episodes.
Let me know what you think?
