Top Seven Best Abe Simpson Episodes
Now, we all love Grandpa Simpson. He is one of the funniest characters on the show. Abe reminded me a lot of my own grandpa because he told crazy stories, and Abe is just one of the funniest members of the Simpsons, from fighting WW2 to living in a retirement home.
So here are my top Seven Best
Abe Simpson episodes.
7. Havana Wild Weekend
In this episode, Abe wants to find the best medical treatment, and that's in Cuba. The family goes and has a good time in Cuba. Abe then reunites with a war Air Force friend and falls in love with a woman named Isabella but later learns she's a CIA agent trying to arrest American refugees. This was a funny Abe Simpson episode because it's one of the rare Modern Simpsons episodes that is good.
6. Midnight Rx
In this episode, Mr. Burns gets rid of all the prescription drugs at the nuclear plant and all of Springfield. So Homer and his dad go to Canada to bring drugs back to Springfield, but that all falls apart after they are arrested at the border. Homer and Abe attempt one last heist with Mr. Burns's help, and everyone in Springfield praises them because those drugs have helped so many people.
In this episode, Abe has a crush on a woman named Zelda, but the only he can impress her is by driving a car. Abe, of course, is not the best when it comes to driving a car, but Homer allows it. I found this episode funny because of one picture of Abe yelling at the cloud; I don't know why it's so funny.
I love this drawing. It's like he's yelling at Cloud and saying, "You should have chosen Tifa instead of Aerith, you idiot!"
In the episode, things are going well with Zelda, but Homer and Marge are not happy with Abe coming home late. Even Marge tells him she's a hoochie, saying she only likes Abe for his car. Abe, of course, doesn't believe but loses his driving privileges after he takes part in a drag race that destroys Homer's car. Zelda leaves Abe for Zack, and he steals Marge's car, and he and Bart go looking for her. We expect Abe to show Zelda how much he loves her, but in the end, he sees Homer and Marge's point that Zelda is a hoochie who only likes him for the car because she left him after she learned he lost his driving license. Abe calls her hoochie and humiliates her, and he apologizes to Homer for listing. This is a good Abe episode, and it's hilarious.
4. The Old Man and the C Student
The Old Man and the C Student is a Bart episode, but Abe is a massive character in it. After Bart costs Springfield the Olympics, he is forced to work at the Retirement home; however, Bart decides his grandpa and his friends need to have some fun instead of being locked up all day. In this episode, Abe and the other older adults agree, and they love being free to go out doing stuff despite Lisa's protests. However, In the end, they all thank Bart for letting them have fun for once instead of being locked away.3. In the Name of the Grandfather
In this episode, the Simpsons go to Ireland because Abe wants to go to his favorite pub before he dies, and the family owes him after they didn't show up for an event he needed them for. This episode really makes you want to go to Ireland. However, when Abe returns to Ireland, so much has changed in the town, and he's not happy that his favorite pub has no customers and isn't doing well. So Abe and Homer decide to help Tom, the owner. However, they ended up owning the tavern by mistake, so to increase sales, they allowed smoking at the pub. Eventually, they get into trouble, so they sell the pub and return home. 2. Grandpa Vs. Sexual Inadequacy
In this episode, Homer and Marge had trouble getting it on, so Abe presented a drink that can help couples with their "problems." However, this episode is about Homer and Abe and how they have always had problems with each other. To make matters worse, Abe says something no father should say to their child. He tells Homer he was an accident, which causes Homer to hate his dad and try to be a better father than he was because his dad never showed to him growing up. Later, Bart and Lisa tell him he needs to talk to Grandpa, and Abe feels bad about what he said. The two meet at the old home where they live, and Homer sees a photo of him and Santa. He realizes it was Dad dressed up as Santa, and the two make amends during a house fire as they both drop and roll to put out the flames. This is a good father-son story because we all had parents with whom we had arguments or felt they neglected us. However, if we talk to them and see what's going on, we realize how much our parents loved us deep down, despite the anger we feel towards them. Also, this was a funny scene, and it's interesting how, in one episode, the show thus appears again, but uncensored.
and the number one best Abe Simpson is....
1. Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Hellfish."
Now, as you know, I put this on my list of best Simpsons episodes, and it is the best Abe Simpson Episode. We see Abe stand out in this, and Abe Simpson, in his youth, was a badass in the army. This episode has Abe learning that he and Burns are the last of the Hellfishes, and the last one alive gets very German paintings. Burns, of course, tries to kill Abe until Bart encourages Abe to fight back. In this episode, as I wrote, he's at his best and shows that old military side of him during his chase with Burns. This is, to me, Abe Simpson's best episode. So those are my top seven best Abe Simpson Episodes let me know what you think.
