The Phoenician Scheme Review

The Phoenician Scheme Review

So, I saw The Phoenician Scheme today, and here's my review of it. It was a fascinating film, and I did like it. I wouldn't say it's my favorite Wes Anderson film, though, but overall, I did enjoy this film. It's a weird film like most of Wes Anderson's films, but they are brilliantly made and have an all-star cast. The film is about a wealthy businessman named Zsa-Zsa Korda, who has survived multiple plane crashes and appoints his daughter Liesl, who is trying to become a nun, as his heir over his nine sons. He's trying to start a new business, but he also has to deal with scheming tycoons, terrorists, and assassins who want to kill him.

This film had some funny moments and others that made you say, 'holy crap.' You really need to stay focused on the movie because you might get lost. The cast of the film all did a great job. Benicio Del Toro did a great job; Michael Cera was fantastic in the movie, too, as was his character, Bjorn Lund. Mia Threapleton also did a tremendous job playing Liesl. The rest of the cast in the film all do a great job in this film, and like I said, it's a stud cast full of great actors. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I give it an 8 out of 10. It's not the best Wes Anderson film, but overall, I enjoyed it.
