Here's my DCU Justice League Fan Cast, and we're getting an animated series roster in the DCU. That would be a good first choice for the DCU. As for villains, I would go with alien invasion, Brainiac, or the Legion of Doom. Now, if we were to make the villains, I would go with the Legion of Doom as the main villains of the first film, the second film would have Vandal Savage, and the final movie would be Darkseid and the Crime Syndicate.
My Justice League Fan Cast and Ideas
David Cronswet as Clark Kent/Superman
Brandon Sklenar as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Grace Caroline Currey as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman Aaron Piere as John Stewart/Green Lantern
Jacob Bertrand as Wally West/The Flash
Isabella Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl
John David Washington as Martian Manhunter
Supporting Cast of the first film.
Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth
Now in the first film the villains I would go with are the Legion of Doom.
The reason I go with the Legion of Doom is because the alien invasion has been done in Avengers so I think going with the Legion of Doom makes it different from the MCU first Avengers film. The Legion of Doom Roster would be Lex Luthor, Joker, Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah, Sinestro, Ma'alefa'ak, Silver Banshee, and Amazo. Lex Luthor forms this team to capture Metahumans and turn them into weapons as Lex Luthor seeks to take over the world as he believes he is the true saviour of the world.
Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor
Jamie Campbell Bower as The Joker
Emma Stone as Cheetah
Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro
Taissa Farmiga as Silver Banshee
Babs Olusanmokun as Ma'alefa'ak
Zachary Quinto as Professor Ivo
Alexander Ludwig as Aquaman
Glen Powell as Green Arrow
Jordan Calloway as Black Lightning
Zazie Beetz as Vixen
Ryan Potter as The Atom
Aiden Ehrenreich as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern
If they kill off Hal in Lanterns I want them to adapt Rebirth in season 2 and have the character return but more younger this time. I know Gunn has said that in the DCU when character dies their dead and I understand because death never has meaning in comics but sometimes bringing back a character can work if it's done right. Garrett Hedlund as Barry Allen/The Flash
Like Hal Jordan if they choose to make Wally the main Flash it's likely they will bring back Barry Allen if it's already dead or retired. Aldis Hodge as Hawkman
Max Greenfield as Plastic Man
Elizabeth Gillies as Zatanna
Tom Felton as John Constantine
Bill Skarsgard as Deadman Lucas Till as Booster Gold
Camila Mendes as FireJason Momoa as Lobo
The second Justice League would adapt Tower of Babel with Vandal Savage as the main villain and the League of Shadows.
Karl Urban as Vandal Savage
Dave Baustista as Bane
Lilly Rose Depp as Scandal Savage
Eleanor Tomlinson as Knockout
Sasha Luss as Angel Breaker
Now the third film would adapt the The Darksied War and the Crime Syndicate would appear in the film too as they are working along side Darksied.
Christopher Judge as Darksied
Jason Statam as Anti-Monitor
Adria Arjona as Grail 7. Justice League Roaster should be based on the animated series
The animated series is the most iconic Justice League Team, and this is the right team roster to start with. Still, I don't know what roaster Gunn is going with, but it's the animated series roaster. Seeing how John Stewart is the main Green Lantern of the Green Lantern series, that's a sign we're getting the animated series roster.
Now, for a Justice League film, they would do what the Avengers did: have one villain and an army of aliens invading Earth. They could do that, but I think the Justice League film should do something different, and by that, I mean go with the Legion of Doom as the main villains of the first film. Lex Luthor forms the Legion to capture Metahumans and wants to take over the world, believing he will bring actual order to the world, and he works with villains. So Superman and Batman put together their own team to stop him and his team. This would work because instead of an alien invasion or the Centre attacking, it's just a group of super villains they need to fight.
5. The second film should adapt the Tower of Babal but go with Vandal Savage as the main villain.
Tower of Babal would be a great Justice League storyline to adapt, where the team is well-loved but cannot all trust each other. Batman had files and plans set up to take down each member of the team if they went rogue. Now, of course, Ra's Al Ghul is the one who learn this and is the villain, but in this version, it's Vandal Savage who knows of this and takes the files to take down every member of the team. When the Justice League learns Batman did this, it causes a rift as half the team is angry at him, but the other half somewhat understands why he did this. This would be a storyline where the team is having problems working as a team, where they might break up, but eventually Superman tells them they need to apologize and move on, and the world needs them. Now I would end it with Batman quitting the team, and Superman asks him if he has a plan for himself. He tells him, "It's called the Justice League." This shows he still believes in the League. He gives Superman something, revealing Batman's weakness, and he trusts Superman to take him down if he turns from the light. 4. Darksied as the main villain of the third film but is not like Thanos and Crime Synadtic as secondary villains work as the heroes fight their evil counterparts.
Now Darksied will likely be a significant threat in the DCU, but from what Gunn has said, the DCU is not building up to fight one big bad guy. Darkseid is planning an invasion of Earth, but is also going to war with Anti-Monitor, as his daughter Grail is involved, and the Mother Box is involved, too. Darkseid also allies with Vandal, using a reality warp to bring the Crime Syndicate to his world. They want to take over the Earth, so they join him on his conquest. So that's his motivation. The Justice League doesn't know about him until he arrives on Earth. Alternatively, the Mister Miracle series could set up Darkseid, in which case he tells the team about himself. Another possibility is that a New Gods film happens, in which case Mister Miracle and Big Barb would tell the heroes about him. Also, having the Crime Syndicate as the villains of the film works because they are the opposite of the Justice League, and when they face them, they see that they are just corrupted and evil to the core. I want to see Batman and Owlman fight, and there is a moment Batman tries to reason with him, knowing he's his brother from a different universe.
3. The Justice League film could lead to spin-offs of other Justice League teams.
Now, the Justice League films, unlike the Avengers films, don't give us spin-off Avengers stories like New Avengers, Secret Avengers, Mighty Avengers, or West Coast. Gunn and the DCU have an opportunity here because we have the Justice Gang in Superman. Let's see more teams.
For example, we could get an Outsiders film focusing on Batman and the team he assembles to fight major crime threats in the streets. The Outsiders roaster is
Batman Team Leader
Black Lightning Second in Command
Green Arrow
Black Carney
Vixen
The Atom
Lobo
Justice League Dark is the team that deals with the Supernatural, and it was formed by Madame Xanadu. The team roster is
Zatanna Team Leader
John Constantine, Second in Command
Swamp Thing
Black Orchild
Deadman
As well as a Justice League International project, I would make it into a TV series, a ten-episode series. If the Justice League expands beyond the original team, we see a roster that deals with all-world problems.
The team roster is
Booster Gold Team Leader
Guy Garner/Green Lantern
Godvia
Fire
Ice
Metamorpho
Shazam
August General in Iron
Red Rocket
This could be a great idea, and something we haven't seen. It wouldn't require homework because these team projects are their own things.
One thing they need to do for the Justice League is that they are different from the Avengers because they are not formed by the government. They are composed of good people, gods living among men, and they wish to protect the world without getting involved in certain politics, and don't want the government to be a problem. I see Amanda Waller being a problem for them, like Rick Flag could be the Nick Fury, who supports the team, though. The Justice League should be a superhero team, not working for the government, but its own independent group.
1. Like most DCU projects, everyone has their own story going, but the Justice League films need to be the crucial films as they decide the fate of the DC Universe.
Now, as Gunn said, the DCU films, everyone has their own story going on, so there shouldn't be too much homework for audiences to learn what sets up what. However, Justice League needs to be built up as the big team-up that brings the heroes together, but also, these films are what will lead into the significant events that will impact the DCU and some of the characters' arcs.
So that's my Justice League Fan Cast and Ideas.
Let me know what you think?
