One Battle After Another
Review
So, I saw One Battle After Another yesterday, and here's my review of it...I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The film had many funny moments, great acting, and a great score. The film focuses on a man named Pat, who was part of a far-left-wing group called French 75. He falls in love with one of the group's members, Perfidia, and has a child with her, named Charline. However, things go wrong, and Perfidia abandons the family. Pat goes into hiding with his daughter, changing their names to Bob and Willa. The film's villain is named Lockjaw, who basically wants to hunt down Pat and Charline because he thinks he might be the birth father of Charline, and he wants to join this racist group. Honestly, you understand why Perfidia supports her cause but you won't like how she abandons her family for it.
The film, as I mentioned, had some funny moments, like Leo, who was so amusing that he had many people laughing, especially in one particular scene. By the way, this is a very far-left-wing movie. The entire film revolves around French 75 saving people locked in cages, as well as addressing other injustices in America, because let's face it, these issues occur in real life. Also, this film is quite long, so be aware that it does drag on a bit; however, the ending is good, and there are some intense moments throughout the film.
The cast of the film all did a great job; you can't go wrong with Leo. Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, and Regina Hall were all great. I really enjoyed this film and had a good time; I give it an 8 out of 10.
